Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, while on the Bank of America ( B of A ) website, I saw an unauthorized charge posted to my business XXXX. The charge was for {$100.00} and the merchant was listed as " XXXX # XXXX ''. I promptly called the number on the back of the card and told the B of A agent about the unauthorized charge. She transferred me to another department where I was left on hold for XXXX minutes. I hung up and wrote a letter to B of A asking them to reverse the unauthorized charge, that I had " NEVER purchased anything from this merchant and there is no way for me to contact them directly. '' I mailed this letter to the address for billing inquiries on the B of A statement. I received no reply from B of A and I saw they had not reversed the unauthorized charge, so I sent a second letter repeating the same facts on XX/XX/XXXX. Still no response from B of A. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a third letter repeating the same facts, but I sent it to an address hidden on pg XXXX of my B of A statement. I finally received replies from B of A asking me for " additional information ''. The information they asked for had already been provided in my previous letters, and on XX/XX/XXXX I sent them a letter saying so. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a reply dated XX/XX/XXXX denying my " claim '', talking about me not being satisfied with the " service '' the merchant provided. I never said anything like that! That same day I sent a reply to B of A that I was not satisfied, and they obviously had not conducted any investigation of my claim. I received no reply. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a certified letter to B of A detailing all of the above and repeating my assertion that this was an unauthorized charge and they obviously did not conduct any investigation at all. I received no reply,

Consumer Complaint: In understanding of XXXX benefits for service member I communicated with Bank of America XXXX loan to service my account. XX/XX/XXXX - First time I communicated with Bank of America about getting military orders. XX/XX/XXXX - I went to XXXX on who then gave me a reservation document for Initial XXXX XXXX Training plus XXXX XXXX for training orders. XX/XX/XXXX - I called Bank of America again and was transferred to a military department, I spoke someone who sent me to website ( https : //www.bankofamerica.com/military-banking/overview/ ) on this call, the person I spoke to ( Male, state ) mentioned I had the option of pausing my payments until I came back from training, at which I said sounds good, lets do that. He said I needed to send in the order to the website above. I did and got a response asking for more documentations. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX sent order via email to Bank of America. XX/XX/XXXX - Email from Bank XXXX XXXX stating the military benefits was being reviewed. XX/XX/XXXX : I shipped out to Basic Combat Training to be followed by XXXX XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : Email from Bank of America regarding decision about military benefits request. My understanding was that everything was set until I returned. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX ended. Less than 180 days of which an employee had claimed I had coverage from any indemnity my account was charged off. I spoke to someone at the military department with name ( XXXX XXXX, number who confirmed receipt of orders with the benefits were still active. I asked for more information him, and he said his information will be on the account record should it needed. XXXX thing that noted was if I included a letter requesting the deferment, and I said no, because it was never request. The orders were only requested which was emailed on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX stated benefits was approved XX/XX/XXXX and still active. I asked if it was possible to get a record of communications. XX/XX/XXXX was the first time I requested for escalation reviewed. Here I was told benefits was active for up to XXXX after end of XXXX XXXX. I was told by XXXX associate that deferment was not a thing offered by Bank of America, then buy other associates who said it was an option but there needed to be a letter requesting such thing. XXXX of the associate even said I could write a letter back dating the request and that it potentially would be reviewed. On a call that followed, I was told there could be possibility to reverse the charge off and return to good standing open account. The communication I received was from a senior company personnel in management that they would look for the call where the associate offered but could not promise that they would find it, in terms of the agreement to defer payment until I returned from training, she called the next day around XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX that the recording could not be found and nothing she could do. XX/XX/XXXX I requested another escalation. Looking back on record, the only way I could have sent that email on the XXXX of XXXX was be provided an email address by someone. After the charge off, I was offered settlement option or pay in full or be able to continue to make payments. I chose to continue to make payments and was asked what amount. I choose the option of keeping the vehicle and continuing making payments. I said {$600.00} picking a number. I could only schedule 6 months payments at a time, and I scheduled payments and made all payments, and currently scheduled until XX/XX/XXXX. I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX confirming an agreement to suspend collection efforts as long they received the monthly payments as agreed. I made the commitment with Bank of America to continue making payments which is reflected in my past transactions from when the charge of occurred and future schedule transactions. In my escalation request and most recent, I asked for the charged off amount to be reversed, and a document that reflect agreement of payment to the account and upon full payment that the charge off will be removed from my credit profile.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my credit card was fraudulently used, resulting in a charge of {$690.00}, along with an additional {$20.00} international transaction fee being added to the bill. I reported the incident immediately ( within XXXX hours of the fraudulent activity ). A few days later, I received a notification and a letter from Bank of America ( BoA ) stating that the claim I had filed was closed, and that the fraudulent transaction had never been posted to my account. However, the fraudulent charge remained on my credit card statement. Following this, I repeatedly called BoA to dispute the charge. During these interactions with their inefficient customer service, numerous representatives told me it was a system error and that no investigation had been initiated for the previous claim. They promised to help me open a new claim, but every time I hung up the phone, no new claim was established. Even more troubling, XXXX representative maliciously altered the claim amount to as high as {$2000.00}, which was immediately closed. This forced me to call BoA 's customer service weekly, but I never received a resolution. Additionally, if I am unable to pay off the fraudulent charge promptly, I will be penalized with a delay fee and it will negatively impact my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: I received an offer directly through the Bank of America website when I logged in about a promotional offer for a business checking account. The offer stated that you has to open an a business account before XX/XX/23 and deposit {$30000.00} in the account within 30 days and maintain that amount for an additional 60 days. After that point you will receive {$1000.00} cash bonus. I called Bank of America around XX/XX/23 to verify the offer and ensure Im eligible. I was told I was and proceeded to open the account on XX/XX/23. I met my account requirements on XX/XX/23 but now Bank of America is stating that they cant find the offer and the offer code provided in the application didnt match what Im stating. I provided proof directly from the online Bank of America site. I feel like bank of Americas actions are deceiving and fraudulent.
