Consumer Complaint: Back about close to 15 years I had modified through Bank old America. I had a XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. The house was under financially over XXXX. They modified the 80 % loan, and were suppose to write off the 20 % which was a little over XXXX. The 80 % loan was a little over XXXX this modified. The 20 % loan shows with Bank of America the account was closed or I did not have to pay them. They were very deceitful on the modification. Years later they sold the bad debt to a company that was owned by them or sister company by Bank of America. As time has gone by they sold to other collection agencies such as XXXX. Now almost 15 years later my house is in foreclosure. They said compound interest of what was XXXX now is close to XXXX. They say if I dont pay they will for close. They have address or my home XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, California, XXXX on XXXX under Foreclosure. The young lady who modified loan for me told me to contact you and the Attorney XXXX I did. I need help since I have a wife and a mother in law who has XXXX that I support financially. My wife cant work since she care for my mother in law. She stopped working in XXXX. Since I dont know law or barley make ends meet to hire an attorney I am desperately seeking our organization and Attorney general before I go public with this dishonest company. I know Bank of America was paid to modify loan which they refused to help by giving me the runaround, so I hired an outside company who took it out of foreclosure but failed to modify. Then I hired another company to modify, which she did. XXXX Bank of America accepted modification, but failed to write off the amount that made the mortgage under value market. They secretly sold the bad debt and it has been sold from hand to hand.

Consumer Complaint: My bank account was hacked and my debit card was used for numerous transactions without my knowledge, I was also overcharged by merchants I had done business with in the past, I informed the bank of the stolen debit card and phone and asked for account to be locked down until I could review my account and figure out why I was being charged. They then allowed my account to be overdrawn by nearly XXXX dollars after the conversation. They further went on to deny my claims without doing a thorough and legitimate investigation. The balance on this account was nearly XXXX dollars less than a year ago. Im now negative XXXX dollars in this account and i would like to receive all illegitimate transactions back to me immediately. My life savings has been stolen and I truly believe Bank of America has allowed this to happen.

Consumer Complaint: In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, all the purported creditors have violated my rights. Under 15 USC, 1681, Section 602 insures my right to privacy. Under 15 USC, 1681, Section 604A, subsection 2 also states that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. Under 15 USC, 1666 B, a creditor my not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open and consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. Consumer Complaint: For the past XXXX and a half years almost XXXX dollars of my California unemployment insurance benefits have been stolen due to Bank XXXXf Americas 1 ) BOA 's standard UE prepaid cards that have no security features and have never had them so ppl continue to face their having no option but to receive benefits thru BOA which means I continued to be robbed by unknown internet fraudsters thru my entire time on unemployment insurance. It's absolutely disgraceful this Bank. 2 ) even tho Now that they were fined for their shady and illegal business practices nothing has changed. After 2 years of apparently having a robot deny my claim, I was told to reopen it ( and did with stupid high hopes ) only to be mocked, receiving no fund release while the 10 day investigation reached day 11 then one month ... ... as it states is their policy. Then to be yet again defeated in tears because my claim was ( AFTER ALL THAT AND AGAIN I AM THE VICTIM NOT THEM!! ITS MY MONEY I NEVER EVEN TOUCHED THAT WAS STOLEN )!!!! DEINIED!!!!!! What????? Are you joking???? This is beyond appalling, so today I try this route, I've already filed a complaint with the FTC and I'll be filing one with my local law enforcement as well as the FDIC. Bank of America you truly are thieves as well as an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A " FINANCIAL INSTITUTION ''. DISGUSTING. So again tonight I will continue to feel robbed, violated, like I've been treated like a criminal and a second class citizen. All because I was laid off during a global pandemic after working from XXXX years of age to XXXX without any lull. Someone please help me recover my money that these people won't. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I received a call from a number that was labeled SCAM on my phone. I answered it and the person stated they were with XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX and that they would be pursuing a collection of a debt. I have good/excellent credit. I asked where the debt came from, which they replied bank of America. Back in XXXX, I paid a collection agency a settlement amount for an outstanding debt with a bank of America credit card debt. I have not heard anything about this debt since XXXX, nor do any of the XXXX credit reporting bureaus reflect anything negative regarding a debt. They asked me if I had a letter proving that I paid the settlement amount ; since XXXX, I have moved several times because I was in the military and I have lost documents and items with every move ; this is just something that happens with moving. I do not have the letter stating I paid the settlement amount, but if I had not paid a settlement, surely it would reflect in my credit report. I asked how is it possible after XXXX, nearly 16 years, since I paid a debt collection agency, that I am now being pursued about a debt I have not heard about. They said debt collection agencies can have you pay an amount, but that doesn't cover the complete debt amount, and the remaining amount can be sold to another debt collection agency. I asked if they are debt collection agency, to which they gave me a vague explanation that they were not necessarily a collection agency. If this is the case, if a person pays a settlement amount with a debt collection agency, and the amount does not cover the whole debt, and the amount can be picked up by another collection entity, this would never end and this could be exploited continuously. This seems nefarious and an unjust practice. The phone number to XXXX contact is XXXX. Is there not a statute of limitations to which they can pursue someone about a debt?

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding the mismanagement and lack of communication surrounding my home equity line of credit ( HELOC ) tied to account number XXXX, initially opened by my late grandfather, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Key Points of Concern : XXXX ) Successor in Interest : a XXXX Bank of America has formally recognized me as a Successor in Interest, granting me the right to information and actions related to this loan. XXXX ) Payment Attempts : a ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I made XXXX significant attempts to clear all dues : i ) I visited a Bank of America branch to wire funds but was denied. ii ) I overnighted a personal check, which was returned because it wasn't certified funds. b ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a cashiers check for {$4500.00}. Despite exceeding the due amount, the check was rejected and returned because it was not the " exact amount. '' I was never told the exact amount. c ) I did not receive a formal reinstatement amount until XX/XX/XXXX. d ) Full payment was sent via overnight mail on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX ) Inadequate Communication : a ) I have not received any formal foreclosure notices as mandated by Florida laws. b ) Monthly invoices did not specify the need for " certified funds, '' nor was I informed of this requirement separately. XXXX ) Frivolous Fees : a ) A reinstatement calculation letter dated XX/XX/XXXX included {$2300.00} as foreclosure and attorney fees. Consumer Complaint: This is a follow up from complaint number ( XXXX ) on the charge of my Bank of America for {$5400.00}. My partner and I were ready to depart from a XXXX on XX/XX/23 from XXXX, XXXX. He had a XXXX on the ship, sent to ship infirmary for medical treatment and then we disembarked the ship to a hospital where he underwent XXXX XXXX for a brain bleed. On XX/XX/23 the merchant charged my card for {$5400.00}. I contacted the credit card company and disputed the charges ( lost XXXX times ) as I never received a statement of the charges. On the ship I used my card for incidentals ( other purchases ) but was not expecting a medical problem and to charge my card for my partner 's medical expenses. We have travel insurance and could get this reimbursed but they are asking for a copy of the medical report and itemized bill. The merchant told me only recently that they sent this information to my partner 's email and due to XXXX can provide it to me. My partner is unable to make his own decisions now and can not access his own email to access the information. I believe this is unfair to me considering I am already traumatized and now financially being charged this amount with interest. Since this claim was made, I received contact from XXXX from Bank of America on XX/XX/23 ( XXXX ) stating XXXX a representative would be calling me to resolve this disupute. She contacted me ( XXXX ) and explained the situation. She stated for me to provide her a copy of bill paid from XXXX XXXX XXXX and in addition to the rejection of dispute letters from Bank of America. I was informed to send this information by email to XXXX. I attempted to send the information but it was rejected coming back as undeliverable. I contacted Bank of America directly through both there chat line and on the phone but they provided the exact same email address. When I said that it could not be sent they hade no other suggestion. I sent the information through fax on XX/XX/23 and it was accepted. Upon receiving this information I was infomred by XXXX that the charges would be removed until this can be settled. I have been unable to reach XXXX despite making frequent calls to call me back. Since than I am at a roadblock.
