Consumer Complaint: Bank Of America XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$3200.00} and was paid via XXXX. XXXX transportation tried to make a false claim for {$3000.00} to get money back that he sent me and was denied because Bank of America was able to find that he authorized the XXXX payment. Now in XXXX, XXXX Transports submitted another claim for {$3200.00} which resulted in a hold being placed on my account for the amount of {$3200.00} even though he was already denied in XXXX for authorizing the payment since they found proof that he received and authorized the verification codes sent to his phone to send me the {$3200.00} payment. I have received false information from numerous agents. One agent told me his claim was going to be denied and they were going to release the hold today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) only to see the hold posting on my account as ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). The next agent stated that his claim was successful and the only thing I can do is take legal action, and the last agent I spoke to stated that even though the amount posted, it still is under review and will most likely get denied once they find out that he authorized the payment using verification codes sent to his phone. I don't know which agent is correct which is frustrating and since they already proved that he did authenticate the XXXX payment in XXXX, I need Bank of America to release the hold on my account immediately! This is negligence on Bank of Americas part to let a fraudulent claim go through to put a hold on my account since he was already denied and sent verificaiton codes to his phone to pay me for the XXXX!

Subissue: Problem with rewards from credit card
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent closure of my credit card accounts. I had accumulated over {$3800.00} in rewards points on one account and nearly {$1000.00} on another. When I contacted your customer service department to inquire about the closure, I was informed that I would not be reimbursed for my rewards points. I am deeply disappointed by this decision. I earned these rewards points through my own spending and by following your terms and conditions. I feel that I have been robbed of my hard-earned money. I understand that your policy is to not reimburse rewards points when accounts are closed. However, I believe that this policy is unfair and unjust. I am a loyal customer of Bank of America, and I have never had any problems with my accounts in the past. I am requesting that you reconsider your decision and reimburse me for my rewards points. I believe that this is the fair and just thing to do. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: This is a new and separate complaint about XXXX and XXXX, a fraudulent debt collection firm located in XXXX, Rhode Island. I am also making a complaint to the State of Rhode Island 's Disciplinary Board for false conduct of attorneys. This law firm wrongly and falsely wrote to the CFPB that a debt from Bank of America ( BofA ) and/or FIA Card Services was litigated at Washington Superior Court , Case # XXXX. The online court docket clearly shows this was a default judgment ( attached ), not a litigated judgment to decision. Also attached is a false affidavit from that case made by FIA that references an account ending in # XXXX, but attached to that affidavit is a BofA WorldPoints statement ending in # XXXX. XXXX and XXXX 's demand letter references the same debt ( account ending in # XXXX or # XXXX ), however, XXXX XXXX of BofA ( XXXX ) XXXX, has called me twice and admitted BofA had NO records for the WorldPoints statement and account ending in # XXXX ( and later changed to # XXXX by FIA ). No credit application with my signature, no proof of charges I made. While the alleged originator of debt, BofA, has admitted they have no proof, XXXX and XXXX falsely claim this office, in consultation with Bank of America, N.A., have thoroughly reviewed your account and have concluded that all charges were properly assessed to your account. XXXX and XXXX did not stop there. They made additional and intentionally false claims against me by attaching XXXX unrelated statements from BofA cards in years XXXX and XXXX, ending in # XXXX and # XXXX. They also falsely point to airline travel at that time and charge-offs in XXXX. What was charged off was fraudulent activity!! Nothing I personally charged. I am a well-documented victim of identity theft, see police reports attached. XXXX and XXXX are fraudulent debt collectors who bought an alleged debt that even the originator ( BofA ) can not prove. They continue to pursue an innocent person by MANUFACTURING alleged proof. Their letter ( attached ) is false as NO proof exists that I ever signed up for the subject BofA WorldPoints card ending in # XXXX, which account was allegedly changed to FIA Card Services # XXXX. This debt collection firm needs to have its law license revoked.
