Consumer Complaint: Bank of America was unable to recover a significant amount of lost funds from a scam I was involved in. I provided them with all of the information I could have, I also filed with the FBI and my local police. I have been with BOA for over 10 years, and have lost all of my savings. I thought BOA would have helped in anyway possible to ensure the safety of my money. They have done nothing to help me in any way except send me letters in the mail stating they were unable to recover the money.

Consumer Complaint: An unauthorized Bank of America business credit card was opened in my name several years ago, subsequently closed. However, this card has inexplicably become linked to my personal account. Over the past five years, Bank of America accessed both my personal and savings accounts, withdrawing over {$20000.00}. This has resulted in significant and irreversible damage to my personal credit. Furthermore, they withdrew funds from my account for XXXX transactions I did not initiate. This situation created considerable difficulties, leading to the return of every payment I made for the month and causing 30-day late payments on six of my credit card accounts. See attachment for the most recent withdrawals on XX/XX/

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America, closed my account due to a check that was mailed to me through the usps, to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was instructed to deposit the check into my bank account as I did for a car wrap company that was supposed to wrap my car, I was instructed to call the installer as soon as the money cleared, bank of America had cleared the check I was then instructed to pay the installer on XXXX XXXX XXXX dollars which kept saying the transaction failed, when looking back at my statements the gentlemen had got the XXXX and my account automatically minused and left me in the whole XXXX dollars, I don't understand why bank of America gave the company back there money because they said they never issued me a check, instead the minused me XXXX dollars and closed my account with no explanation and still won't hear the side of the story, not just only that, I don't agree with them not posting deposits on the weekends, that doesn't make any since to me personally, ( example ) say I put XXXX in the bank on Friday I withdrawl XXXX which says I have XXXX on my receipt, so I know not to go over XXXX well on the mobile app I look at my account and there saying that a transaction is still pending well I go to the bank and check my balance and the restaurant took out the money already, what does that mean that it's still pending and they don't post transactions on the weekened when the transaction was finished pending they double charged me and kept leaving my account over drawn and would take it out of my other accounts like my credit card which I still have that I'm not understanding where the overdraft fee, is coming from just says overdraft fee and doesn't say where the transaction came from, ive had plenty of conversations with bank of America and don't get none of my money back that they took, I deposited XXXX dollars one time and the receipt said I had XXXX dollars it's been a mess with bank off America and me.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Consumer Complaint: I originally submitted a claim through the CFPB for the same purpose. In the response call, the Bank associate who handled my case did not adequately address my concerns. She only discussed the denial of a credit limit increase. I am concerned, however, that the way that the credit card application was presented to me was misleading. It was shown that I would have an opportunity to transfer a balance to this card for a certain period of time and that the balance transferred would be subject to 0 % APR financing. During the application, there was a question which asked me what amount I would like to transfer, and I indicated that I wanted to move about {$10000.00} to this card. After about 45 seconds, I received a decision from the online portal that the card was approved with a credit limit of {$500.00}. Now, I have a card that I didn't really want in the first place to which I can't even transfer my balance from another card ( as suggested in the advertising ). I am arguing that the language used in the advertised offer was intentionally deceptive and was used to coerce me into opening the card.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I applied to extend my credit with Bank Of America and I applied for a credit card in which I was denied credit. I reached out to Bank Of America and let them know this is in fact discrimination. The consumer law does not state who is credit worthy or not, I am credit worthy and this denial put me and my XXXX year old daughter through mental and physical distress. Due to not being approved for said credit card this is now in fact fraud because I exercised my right to credit but was denied. I applied in good faith but received no benefit. I also took a look at my consumer report and seen that there was indeed a hard inquiry which hurts my consumer report as well. I'm aware that I have the right to privacy and with Bank Of America I was not only denied credit but I was also denied privacy in which I never gave Bank Of America permission to report to my consumer report.
