Consumer Complaint: The Amex Business Platinum card features a benefit that offers up to {$200.00} in cash back for purchases with XXXX between XXXX and XXXX and XXXX and XXXX. I made a purchase with dell.com on XX/XX/22. The purchase posted in three transactions of 2x {$64.00} and {$74.00} on XX/XX/22. As of XX/XX/22 I have not received my cash back from this transaction. When I spoke to customer service they informed me that since the card was now closed ( correct ) I was no longer due this credit. However, I disagree with this assessment. The card was open at the time of the transaction ( clearly, or said transaction would have been declined ) and therefore the transaction would have been governed by the terms in effect at the time, i.e. the benefit offering cash back. In the same way that I as the card holder am liable for charges even after the account is closed, I expect Amex to liable for credits and benefits from when the account was open after it was closed.

However, for over a year now I have been trying to make a payment and i have been unable to due to the fact that every time I call American Express, they tell me that the account is no longer with them. I was provided a lawyer firm contact information, however, when i reached out to that law firm I was advise they no longer had the account and that I needed to contact American Express again. But yet every month a late payment is reported on my credit report by American Express

Consumer Complaint: I made purchases totaling around XXXX dollars from XXXX to XXXX and paid all balances. However, Amex thinks there is risk with me and conducts a financial review. I submitted all my documents but they do not recognize incomes from XXXX, which is my only income source as this year I have been staying in XXXX to work. So I did not pass the financial review and they cancelled all my cards. This means all points I earned during this time period has gone. I have committed to this financial review process and showed them all my income source with regular direct deposit, as well as my XXXXXXXX XXXX with more than XXXX dollars inside my checking accounts. So Amex should be responsible for and compensate all my loss.

Consumer Complaint: I added a new bank account to the auto pay of my Amex XXXX XXXX everyday card on XX/XX/2022. They didn't proceed my payment and hit me with a late fee. I used online chat and made a one time payment and they waived my late fee. A few days later I was hit with an interest charge. Used online chat again. After a few confusing rounds they told me they couldn't waive the payment. Reason being that they already waived the late fee. They also admitted that the app and auto pay features was a " work-in-progress ''. That led to the fees and the waste of time trying to resolve this.
