Consumer Complaint: OnXX/XX/XXXX the Social Security Administration wired a lump sum back payment of over {$12000.00} to my AMEX Serve card. I was told it would take 3-5 business days for the money to appear. Today is Day 6, and I don't have my funds. I've tried multiple times to reach out to AMEX, but their Contact Us numbers are recordings only. There is no way whatsoever to reach someone who I can speak with to find out what is going on.

Consumer Complaint: They basically stole my XXXX dollars by freezing my acct. again when ever my dollar amt goes hi or higher they do this. this is the 2nd time they've done this! and the last time, to bottleneck aka ( keep for as long as they want ) was when i had XXXX and they did the same exact thing demanding a notary certificated that i am myself. so they already have1, so use that 1 to begin with or better yet stop criminally using excuses while trying to steal peoples money.

Consumer Complaint: I had an adjusted balance due on my Amex Gold card of {$2000.00} due on XX/XX/2022. I payed {$2000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I forgot to pay the remaining {$24.00} till XX/XX/XXXX, but paid it as soon as a remembered. I was charged a late fee of {$29.00} posted XX/XX/XXXX, but it did not show up in my account to me till XX/XX/XXXX. I asked for a refund based on my past payment history and because it was only one day late, but was denied through the Amex Chat. Since the {$24.00} was not going to be pulled from my bank account till XX/XX/XXXX anyway because of the XXXX XXXX holiday, charging a late fee, especially one that is larger than the remaining balance, for this payment seems unnecessary. Additionally, when I asked if this would be reported to credit agencies, I was told I would have to call a separate group, that it could not be answered in the customer service chat.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I transferred from American Express Serve XXXX XXXX card {$50.00}, to my linked bank account. It was debited from my XXXX XXXX account and I received notification from my bank account that it will be available the following day XX/XX/XXXX and it arrived as I have the email from bank. The next day, I received an email from my bank that I was overdrawn because the deposit was returned due to inaccurate bank information. It stated that until the account information I provided for XXXX. XXXX. XXXX bank was corrected, I would be unable to perform future deposits using XXXX. XXXX. XXXX bank. However, when I called XXXX express they had no record of this transfer and it disappeared from my online account history and my balance did not reflect this XXXX. On multiple dates after XX/XX/XXXX I have called American Express which basically can not locate this transaction. I added up all the transactions from after my irs refund was deposited on XX/XX/XXXX through current day and these are not balance, considered all transactions listed. Also, as advertised there are in network free atms, which really are not free because people are still being charged for these atms that are supposedly free, meaning no fees should be taken at any point. I have called XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX spoke to people for over XXXX minutes when they were supposedly looking and adding all items when suddenly disconnected after being placed on hold. No returned calls and can't get back to same individuals and no notes taken per next customer service rep. This is a company is preying on individuals who receive income tax returns and are literally taken money a little at a time or not returning cancelled or returned items thinking people won't go through the extra effort and take steps like this because we are considered a lower income bracket and probably less informed or educated. Please stop this scamming company and XXXX XXXX should be ashamed, they only promote this card in able to get a refund anticipation loan right before XXXX when people are struggling to buy gifts for their dependents.

I have not received the card and American Express is refusing to refund the fees, claiming those are the fees for the card. Consumer Complaint: I have an American Express credit card. I had a balance due on XXXX XXXX for {$3100.00}. I made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX for {$2000.00} and another payment on XX/XX/XXXX for {$1000.00}. The payment for {$2000.00} was returned on XX/XX/XXXX because I didnt have enough money in my account. It was unintentional and I sent a new payment on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I had paid my balance in full. The Statement was from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I got charged a return payment fee of XXXX ( which was later reversed ) and Interest Charge on Purchase for {$45.00}. I assumed the Interest Charge on Purchase was for the 4 days I was late. Then, I had a payment due on XX/XX/2022 for {$1300.00} which I paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. To my surprise, I received another Interest Charge on Purchase for {$31.00} on XX/XX/XXXX after I paid my entire balance that was due on time. When I called them about it this morning they said it was a residual fee. It was going to take paying my bill on time for two billing cycles to resolve. I should have not been charged this fee because I paid my entire balance on time. This charge should not be allowed and its hurting consumers. It also makes so sense. I am still trying to understand how I got interest for a payment I made on time. Am Express said they were going to remove it, but it should not be allowed and its unlawful. They are committing a crime by charging people these fees that make no sense. I think we wall know we have to pay a fee when we dont pay the full amount on time. However, there should be no penalty for paying in full on time. Also, I already paid a fee last month for my late payment.

Consumer Complaint: I have a XXXX American Express XXXX card. The advertising suggests that recipients receive a waiver of their annual XXXX spend if they spend $ XXXX or more on their card in a calendar year - indeed, this was the case when I opened my card first. However, I have not been receiving this benefit, and when I contacted XXXX they said that benefit had been removed, including from existing cardholders. They claim it happened in XXXX. However, XXXX was unable to provide evidence of a notification being sent out and was unable to identify when existing cardholders were notified of this arbitrary and capricious change. I spoke with XXXX today ( XX/XX/XXXX ), and they were unable/unwilling to provide any remediation or any details on when this decision was notified. They were only able to provide a copy of this article, supposedly posted on XXXX 's website in XXXX, where you can see in small letters a notification that this benefit was removed. I do not find this to be sufficient notification. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX marketing is also extremely deceptive, as their website strongly suggests that all XXXX AmEx cardholders receive this benefit. The lack of this benefit is not made easily viewable within XXXX 's promotional materials or information about different types of AmEx cards, so there is little way for cardholders to discover that they do not have this benefit. Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX, and I am sending this request myself to address the inaccuracies on my Credit Reports. I have been patiently waiting on their response to the written requests I sent. However, any modes of response or coordination were not taken on their end. They have not complied with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC Sections 1681i within the time allowed by law and continued reporting as unverified information which now, given all my attempts to address it directly with the creditor, as wilful negligence and non-compliance with federal statutes.
