Consumer Complaint: American Express - # XXXX - I have no signed contracts with this firm with my valid signature that obligates me to this debt. This is invalid and should be deleted from my credit report under Section 609 of the FCRA. This company has inserted this information on my credit report as an INTIMIDATION tactic to scare me to pay a debt that I didn't sign for or does NOT have my valid signature.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: Payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX. When I called I was told there was a system error and no one knew how to post the payment. When I asked for more clarification I was told a supervisor would be contacted and I would be contacted by them soon with a resolution. It has been 4 business days with no updates. This is ridiculous and should not be the case.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On the morning of XX/XX/XXXX - I logged onto my bank account app and noticed that {$500.00} was missing from my account and money had been sent to a XXXX XXXX and it says it on the transaction which is transaction # XXXX. This was done on My Serve American Express card that I have had for several years now. I contacted the card company and they had already put a lock on my account because they noticed fraudulent activity. I went down to my local bank to pull the remainder of the money out just to make sure that was not stolen from me so the customer service department at Serve had to unlock the account long enough for me to get my money out. Then they locked the account back up. I also filed a dispute at the same time over the phone. I was told it would take 10 business days for me to get an answer/resolution. I checked my email on the 10th day and it said my dispute had been declined. So I contacted Serve again asking for an answer. I was informed at that time that I needed to submit a dispute form and email or mail it to them. I did so immediately. I waited again 10 business days and then received an email on the 6th day declining the dispute yet again! As soon as I noticed that it had been declined I contacted Serve again and re-opened the dispute. Then yet again on the 2nd or 3rd day this time dispute was declined again. I contacted serve again and filed another dispute on XX/XX/XXXX. Just looked at my emails from yesterday and the dispute was declined again. I contacted them this morning XX/XX/XXXX and filed another dispute. I have filed a police report with XXXX Police Department XXXX # XXXX.

After paying my account XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX later, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a bill for {$42.00} despite having a XXXX balance. For this reason, on XX/XX/2022, I spoke with several representatives, including XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, about interest charges owed on a XXXX balance. He told me the bill was valid and that he would credit me {$20.00}. However, when I called back, another representative said I had to get approval before receiving the credit. This is my second time dealing with this problem with American Express. On the previous occasion, the representative told me there was no charge on a XXXX balance and fixed the error ; however, this time, the representatives elected not to.

Subissue: Problem with rewards from credit card
Consumer Complaint: Summary : American Express closed our Credit Card without warning and forfeited our {$1300.00} rewards points. After making multiple attempts through their customer service number, speaking to multiple levels of representatives in multiple departments no concrete answer can be given as for the reasoning of the cancellation. Details : XX/XX/2022, XXXX XXXX : We received an email that one of our accounts needed to provide additional information and that it risked closure. We called American Express 's customer service number ( XXXX ) on the back of our card same day. Initially the representative stated their was no record of this email and they couldn't provide any information on it. After escalating to a supervisor we were told we would need to contact another department at XXXX the next day as they were closed for the day. XX/XX/2022 : I contacted the other department and after initial confusion on the request from the email the representative stated without much confidence that my wife who is authorized user on the account needed to provide her birthday as it seem to be incorrect from what was in their system. I provided this information and requested assurance from the representative that the issue was taken care of and no further action needed to be taken on my part. The reassured me there was no further issue and no risk to my account. XX/XX/2022 at XXXX AM : We received an email stating that our American Express card has been cancelled and our rewards point have been forfeited. I called their customer service number immediately and was told that on their end our card was in good standing, they could find no record of the email I received and to disregard it as a phishing attempt. After the call ended I tried to use the card for an online purchase and it was declined. I called the customer service line back and was again told there was no record of the email and our account was in good standing and that the problem was with the merchant. After the call ended I tried a purchase from another online vendor and the card was declined again. I called the customer service line again requesting to speak to a 1st tier supervisor. They said before they could do anything to try an in person purchase and to call back. XX/XX/2022 : Tried a purchase at XXXX and was declined again. After calling back again and speaking to a 1st tier supervisor they forwarded us to the " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. Speaking with them I am given no concrete answer to our problem and they refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Their direct contact was XXXX '' I called the original customer service number at XXXX and after pushing for more information with no answer I requested to speak to a 2nd tier supervisor. They weren't available at the moment and I would need to speak to them at another time. The supervisor I was speaking to said " There is nothing more I can do to help you '' After trying to use my rewards points I have confirmed that their use is being declined as well any charges to the card. After investing many, many hours into trying to work with American Express with no clear direction as to what is going on with multiple service reps, service tiers and service departments I am not confident they are going to be able to resolve this issue without additional motivation.

Consumer Complaint: We've talked to the bank & they've agreed to remove the accounts. BUT XXXX has some internal block which they're claiming they can use to not block the accounts because they feel they're above the law. When questioned why they're not accepting the Identity Theft report they claim they have an internal policy ( which is OUTSIDE FCRA laws ) & they're unwilling to explain why they won't accept the Identity Theft report ( which is a FEDERAL LAW ). So XXXX feels they're above the letter of the law & will not explain their policy... XXXX XXXX Date Opened : XX/XX/2015 Balance : {$5700.00}, XXXX XXXX Date Opened : XX/XX/2015 Balance : {$5800.00}
