Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Funds not received from closed account
Consumer Complaint: My business checking account was closed and I received a refund check but the check did not clear with the bank and I was charged a penalty of {$15.00}. I've contacted kabbage Inc at least 4 times concerning this issue. Everytime I was told that the check was being reprocessed and that it would be sent to me by mail in 10-15 days. However, I never received another check even after several contacts with this company.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: American Express is in volition of 15 USC 1681 ( a ) the Fair Credit Reporting Act. So, 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ) ( b ) speaks under the exclusions except as provided in paragraph 3. The term Consumer Report Does Not include ( a ) ( I ) - a report containing information solely as to transactions or experience between the consumer and the person making the report. ( B ) -any authorization or approval of a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly by the issuer of a credit card or similar device. American Express is reporting this information on my consumer report making it inaccurate because this information is not included in a consumer report I have sent a letter to american express asking them to delete this information off of my consumer report. American Express has responded with only billing statements of some alleged debt, ignoring my actual request.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Upon further review, and with a history of Over 20 years this is a repeat problem with them. Both accounts had cards replaced ( classic and pay over time ) they insisted on changing classic card ( account ending in XXXX ) because of data breaches on their side. On or about the end of XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXX someone stole my card if their counter. I immediately called them. They replaced the card and switched its terms. Additionally I have made multiple monthly payments and first received threats of cancellation, and credit reporting, then they sent new cards, then more threats, then closed the accounts all because American Express replaced my stolen card with a new on on different terms as in pay every cycle. My bank actually found this out by the times and amounts the company was withdrawing from my checking account. I stopped them from abusing the XXXX in XXXX. There is paperwork meaning statements and multiple checks additionally paid to them even though the account balance in question is a pay over time account. Had American Express just looked at both accounts activity they would see this. I tried twice calling and asking for return calls and heard nothing I have times dates and names of people I spoke with there. However I am considering legal action against them for improper withdrawals and change of term. Ive been advised to attempt clarity though you, reserve all my rights and hold American Express liable and accountable. Sincerely XXXX XXXX

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: American Express refuses to give me a credit line equal to persons similarly situated as me because of my age and gender in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1691, 15 U.S.C. 1691 ( d ) ( 6 ). After displaying preapproval, followed by post-application approval, Amex failed to issue and send the credit card which was approved and failed to send me a letter stating that the application was denied stating the reasons for denial, as is customary and standard in the industry. However, upon calling customer service and requesting information, i was told that my application was sidelined and not handled like other applications because of my age and gender. Therefore, my credit-worthiness was not even a factor in deciding whether to extend or not extend credit to me.

Consumer Complaint: this is my response to your frivolous and deceptive response through CFPB portal. even though you have completely ignored my original letter stating you're in violation for reporting a account based of payment transactions for medical products or services under 15 USC 1681a ( 3 ), in your response you have committed multiple violations under the XXXX you have used a logo/symbol which indicates that you are in the debt collection business which is a violation of law under 15 USC XXXX ( 5 ) which is infringement of my right to privacy. you have also presented a false and misleading representation as you have only stated that the communication was from a debt collector but not the remaining part of 15 USC XXXX ( 11 ) which requires you to state that you are attempting to collect a debt and any information will be used for that purpose in each SUBSEQUENT communication. I am also aware on my consumer report you are reporting as my creditor in regard to this account but according to the definition of a creditor pursuant 15 USC XXXX ( 4 ) any person to the extent that receives an assignment or transfer of a debt in default solely for the purpose of facilitating collection of such debt for another is NOT a creditor. making you in violation for furnishing a deceptive form under 15 USC XXXX. You are a third-party collection company and lawfully can not validate any of my debts therefore you are reporting a invalidated account on my consumer report & have not provided proper documents to validate this debt under 15 USC XXXX XXXX therefore you are not only using unfair and deceptive practices under the XXXX which i have proof of and am including in this complaint. you are also reporting a debt which is invalidated. I demand you delete this tradeline across all consumer reporting agencies immediately and no further action shall be taken on my end. failure to comply i intend to take action immediately to get justice due to the inequity you have caused me by your unfair collecting methods XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I upgraded blue cash everyday card to blue cash preferred card with promotion of get {$150.00} statement credit after spending {$1000.00} within first 6 months on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I upgraded the card through a link from the promotional email from American Express. I did spend more than {$1000.00} within 6 months, however, they didnt give me {$150.00} credit. I called them almost ten times, from last year till now. At the beginning they said the promotion is {$150.00} credit with {$1000.00} spending within 3 months! I said I keep the email and I could show you. They said theyll investigate this, probably within 10 or 14 business days. I waited but no solution. Then I called again, they said open inquiry and still no solution. And everyone said differently.
