Consumer Complaint: Received a promotion from American Express Bank via email addressed to me personally where if you deposited {$25000.00} in a high yield account and kept it there for 3 months, then you would receive {$350.00}. I deposited the money back in XX/XX/XXXX and kept it there for the required time but never received the {$350.00}. when I contacted them, they said I wasn't eligible. I forwarded them the email I received saying that I was eligible. They received the email with the info but keep saying they have to investigate. I have contacted them 7 times since XX/XX/XXXX. I have spoken to numerous managers who just keep saying that they have to send their boss an email to investigate

I also tried calling the company. They told me that because I did it on the website I was not eligible to receive the points. That was one of the reasons why I wanted to go with this American Express card any questions please dont hesitate to call XXXX thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I am a small business owner, I opened American Express ( AMEX ) XXXX XXXX card on XXXX. At that time, AMEX advertised : Card owner will " earn XXXX Membership Rewards points after {$15000.00} or more in qualifying purchases are made on the Card within the first 3 months of Card Membership. ", in my case, the first 3 months is " from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. '' and I spend a total of {$24000.00}. ( The total spend amount and the " first 3 month time frame info '' are from AMEX customer service online chat history. ) I used to call AMEX customer service about points issue, they told me my points is pending, and considering my " first 3 month '' is ending by XXXX, to avoid any purchase return, they will give me points by XXXX which after 3 month of XXXX statement closed. And I accepted and I think that's totally fine. But after XXXX I did not see XXXX points under my account, so I called AMEX/chat with AMEX online customer service for over 5 times, they admit I do spend enough money to get the points and all they can tell me is my points is pending, as long as I pay for the current statement balance, the points will be put into my account. So I did what they asked but never see any points. A supervisor of AMEX said she will open a case for investigation but she never follow up with me. AMEX obviously do not has a reasonable and appropriate grounds to let my points " pending '' for such a long time, it might " pending '' for years. As a small business owner, I tried all my best to communicate with AMEX but on one care about my situation, it makes my life harder I was planned to use points buy air tickets for business trip, save some money and support my family.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 purchase of {$410.00} on American Express for shoes from online company XXXX. Shoes received via XXXX on XX/XX/2023. XXXX picked up the shoes on XX/XX/2023 to be returned to the original shipper in XXXX. XXXX confirmed the shoes were signed for by the original shipper on XX/XX/2023. Followed up with XXXX as to my credit of {$410.00} for the return. XX/XX/2023 I contacted Amex to dispute the charge as I had not received the credit due. The dispute was processed by American Express. XX/XX/2023 XXXX advised me that they had a package from XXXX ( XXXX shipper ). I contacted XXXX, XXXX, and Amex and advised that I would NOT accept any package from this shipper. XX/XX/2023 XXXX sent an email advising that they would not accept the return and would not be crediting me as the shoes were returned " worn '' .Emails were sent by me to XXXX stating clearly that the shoes were never " worn '' by me and were returned in the EXACT same condition as shipped. Amex opened and closed the dispute 7 times and as of XX/XX/2023 rebilled me for the returned shoes. XXXX redelivered the shoes to XXXX 's XXXX shipped and were signed for on XX/XX/2023. XXXX and it's Third Party supplier in XXXX conspired to refuse the credit, both companies have been paid thru Amex, and they have the shoes to RESELL. I the Amex Cardholder have been billed and bilked for {$410.00}. Amex as of XX/XX/2023 said they have closed the dispute but do acknowledge that I have been charged for merchandise that I do not have. They agree that XXXX and the Third Party supplier have the shoes and will resell them. This is their business scam but will not reverse the charge of {$410.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a watch on XX/XX/2023 through my American Express Gold Credit Card for the amount {$4600.00}. Unfortunately I lost the watch during my day off while visiting the mall. After I researched on the American Express website, I managed to find that my credit card offers a service called purchase protection. I filed a claim with AMEX within the purchase protection window outlined in the credit card agreement. I also double checked that my current situation qualified for this benefit. When I first filed the claim I provided all the information required, at first my claim was denied. I appealed the case and provided more information and proved everything that I was qualified and I was within my rights. I was put through multiple loops of unhelpful customer support calls and emails which neither of those were returned to me on timely matter ( around 3-4 days delayed ). This is a complete violation of my rights and our agreement with American Express. In addition, it is a terrible customer service which makes me to be pushed away from this company when they don't even have the minimum decency to reply on time to such an important matter to their customers. Amex promotes such cool services for their premium credit cards but don't follow through and violate customers ' rights. I am completely disappointed with Amex and their brand for promoting protecting their customers because they surely didn't protect me.
