Consumer Complaint: American Express damaged my credit by XXXX points secondary no negative action on my part.All they have done to date is return fees assessed improperly due to their error. They did not properly assess my appeal and failed to return my credit levels to their original unlimited status. These actions damaged me by causing a loss of between XXXX an XXXX credit rating points. { depending upon the credit reporting agency } Additionally, a clerical error by customer service in adding my physical address resulted in the closure of my checking account and denial of reopening a personal or starting a business checking account due to their damage to my credit rating which brought my rating from XXXX - XXXX. This is the final complaint that I will lodge as an exhaustion of avenues before suing American Express banking if my credit rating is not restored to its pre damage levels. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was manipulated to open other credit card to pay for a service that was offered with XXXX I open an American Express and used for this service and paid {$3400.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, unfortunately this service never was received and the company was sued by many people to the Federal Trade Comission, I also filled a report since I never received what they promised after I fill the report the FTC recommend me to do the dispute for the transactions with the credit cards companies I used and today I talked to American Express customer service and after talking with many representatives they told me that because have been more than a year and they can't do the dispute, this is the first dispute to this institution I made and I feel very disappointed, I paid this service with more credit cards since the amount to paid was {$28000.00} and the other credit cards accept the dispute I don't understand why they refuse to do the dispute since they suppose to cover the purchases I don't use to often this card since always request for payment, please I need your help since due to this fraud I am in debt, appreciate your attention and help to this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I opened the Business Checking account at American Express online after filling out required account details however, somehow my business 's TIN number is showing up in both the actual place where TIN is supposed to but also as my personal SSN. I have tried numerous times to get American Express to fix this mistake and they are asking me to close this account completely ; get a new TIN number as the company would not allow me to use the same TIN and reopen a brand new account with the new TIN and SSN. This is unacceptable and having to get a new TIN is an entire process with cost and time issues. The company must fix this at the earliest rather than cause me further delays and heartaches making an unreasonable demands.

Consumer Complaint: I have been a loyal American Express ( Amex ) customer for the past 12 years. Amex prides itself on customer service ; however, after my most recent experience, I beg to differ. I was offered a one-time {$120.00} credit by using my enrolled eligible credit card to spend {$600.00} on XXXX or more purchases in-store at XXXX or online at us.burberry.com by XX/XX/2023. Therefore, I went to a XXXX store at the XXXX XXXX XXXX in New Jersey and purchased a scarf for {$620.00}. Typically, after I make an eligible purchase, I receive a notification that says thank you and confirms that I will receive a statement credit. This time I didnt receive anything, so I decided to call customer service to find out if I would receive {$120.00}. I spoke to XXXX and asked why I didnt receive an email, and she advised that my purchase was not eligible as I did not purchase it from a participating store. I asked her several times for a list of participating retailers, but she couldn't provide it. How would I have known that a XXXX store in the mall wouldnt be eligible for the credit? I wouldnt have purchased the scarf if I knew I wasnt getting money back for the purchase. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she transferred me to XXXX. She told me I bought the scarf from an authorized retailer and needed to purchase it from a corporate store. I told her it was a corporate store and even called the store while she was on the phone to confirm. I asked for the list of participating stores, and she said she didnt have XXXX. She said there was nothing she could do for me. That said, I want everyone to know that Amex doesnt treat its customers like family and could care less if they lost you as a client. Amex doesnt honor their offers ; they make it very difficult to receive the statement credit. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I wouldnt recommend American Express to my friends and family.

Consumer Complaint: American Express failed to apply principal balance to the principal account for set off. Violation : I submitted a restrictive endorsement ( Bill of Exchange Act ) on several occasions ( endorsed payment coupon ) which is a negotiable instrument and lawful form of payment. American Express denied the lawful form of payment and therefore caused an issue with the account and caused the account to close unlawfully. I, XXXX, XXXX/Agent : on behalf of XXXX XXXXPrincipal notified CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX American Express by certified mail dated XX/XX/23 instructing CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX to apply my principals balance to my principals account for set off. I sent CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX my tender along with my instructions pursuant to the Bills of Exchange Act. I informed American Express that it is not now, nor has it ever been, my intention to avoid paying any obligation that I lawfully owe. I am not refusing to pay. I am trying to set off this debt as instructed by law. My tender and instructions were refused on both occasions. I notified CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX American Express by certified mail again dated XX/XX/23 and provided my tender and instructions. Again, American Express failed to perform their fiduciary duty. I received letters from American Express stating that they do not accept my presentment or negotiable instruments. This is described as Dishonor pursuant to the Bills of Exchange Act ( Section 80 ). I notified CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX of American Express a 3rd time dated XX/XX/23, by certified mail and again instructed him to apply my principals balance to my principals account for set off. I sent CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX my tender along with my instructions pursuant to the Bills of Exchange Act. Once again, my instructions were refused. Pursuant to the Federal Reserve Act ( Section 29 ), American Express has shown a pattern of misconduct and knowingly breached their fiduciary duty ( Third Tier ). Federal Reserve Act section 16 part 1 and 2 states that once I submitted my application for credit, the application serves as collateral security. In an equitable contract according to contract law, both parties should receive equal consideration. I have not received my equal consideration on the collateral security created from the application in the form of interest or equity to set off the debt for the American Express account ending in 81009. 12 USC 1431 also states banks are borrowers and to pay interest on debentures ( debt instrument ). LAST ATTEMPT TO CURE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO LITIGATION
