Consumer Complaint: About XXXX months or so ago I agreed to an offer American Express was offering for XXXX Membership Rewards ( MR ) for opening a Business Gold Card and spending {$10000.00} within 3 months. I met the spend requirements and received the MR . Per my usual process I moved those MR to XXXX XXXX. Move forward about 3 months and I see my MR balance is XXXX. I contact Amex and they tell me to call their MR number. I do and the lady said they are investigating and would send me the reason and resolution steps in 7 days via mail. I never received anything. I called again, and was told I didn't meet the spend on the card and no way to reverse. I ask to investigate as I met the requirements and wanted to know what happened. They said ok and will get information in writing in 7 days. This never came. I then chatted with the online rep who told me to call again. I said I have tried and they can not do anything. So now I am stuck with a XXXX MR balance, no way to resolve the issue. I am not able to open any new Amex cards nor refer anyone. Amex is treating me like I am a criminal and did something wrong, but they can't tell me what or how to fix. I have been an Amex member for over 16 years without issue prior, spent a lot of money on their cards. I don't deserve this type of treatment, let alone not even being clear on what I did or didn't do. My ask from Amex is to wipe the negative XXXX balance of MR to XXXX, and remove the limitation of new Amex cards.

Consumer Complaint: I had a high yield savings account with American Express, which I closed last year. One of the reasons that I closed the account is because American Express made it so difficult to access the account when it attempted to merge online log-in credentials for its credit cards and its banking accounts. Anyway, I called American Express today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) to obtain the tax information to file my XXXX federal and state income tax returns and they were completely unhelpful. Not only were they not able to help me restore my log-in credentials so that I could print my XXXX Form XXXX myself, but the representative that I spoke with could not even give me the total interest amount for the year or email me a copy of the tax form. The only thing she could do was mail a paper copy, which takes a few weeks to arrive in the mail and may come after my tax filing extension deadline. It is beyond frustrating to not be able to obtain simple tax information from a phone call.

Consumer Complaint: I am requesting that XXXX XXXXnot hold me liable for fraudlent charges I am a victim of identity theft I explained to the card holder that I would only be paying for my items that I actually purchased however they denied that and informated that if i made an a payment during the investigation that the cybercriminals would have access to so they then maliciously reported mye 90 daus late which is impossible they are violating my consumer rights and they need to update the credit reports according because I would ot because they are holding me liable for charges that area fraudlent. I am requesting that XXXX XXXX listen to their recordings and acknowledged there terms and condition because I am protected unters ther zero liablity protection and I have another service to product to repair my identity and they have not been at all cooperative or understanding that all the devices where compromised by a hackwer who then gets someone to rob be of those said devices and its whithin these devices my digital Identity has suffered

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I ordered food from grubhub. Per my card terms, I get a {$10.00} XXXX XXXX It was pending after purchase immediately. It did not post until XX/XX/XXXX which took up my XXXX credit and not my XXXX one correctly. I spoke with XXXX and they confirmed it was Amex who took time to post while Amex kept blaming the merchant. Amex contradicted themselves repeatedly ( XXXX, a customer service manager ) as to why they would not issue a credit. Refused to see my order date and kept not answering my questions.

Consumer Complaint: The card gets declined from everywhere. I can't use it in store or online. When I called customer service, they said to wait for 24 hours and try again. After waiting, it still didn't work. Then I was told there is nothing I can do. Several other customers have the same problems if you search it up online

This misidentification not only confuses responsibilities but inadvertently shifts principal debtor liabilities onto the surety. II. Financial Instruments as Securities : Various negotiable instruments function as securities with intrinsic value. These securities, connected to the principal debtor 's estate, should be the primary mode to offset liabilities. The current lack of clarity burdens the surety unnecessarily. III.
