Consumer Complaint: American Expressed approved a card without my knowledge and because I dont possess the fraudulent information used to open account.access denied. None of the personal identifiable information matched and Amex wont take a fraud report. I first noticed the fraud in XX/XX/, when I started to get collection bills and a letter changing my address. I have since reached out to Amex and local police department without getting any help. Local law ( XXXX XXXX ) enforcement agency states its a civil matter.

Consumer Complaint: Hello. I am using American Express credit card ( Amex ) for a long time. I should complain to Amex in this time I made the credit card payment on XX/XX/XXXX because my payment due was on XX/XX/XXXX,. After I paid my payment, I received an email from Amex which Amex had received the money. So, I knew everything was was fine. However, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from Amex saying I had insufficient funds. So, I made the payment again right away on XXXX XXXX. When I check my account in Amex Today ( XXXX ) I found Amex charged {$39.00} for returning fee and received payment two times XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. This is wrong. If I had insufficient funds in my bank account, Amex should not have sent an email on XX/XX/XXXX saying Amex received funds, or Amex should notice to me about insufficent fund before due date. If Amex notice to me about insufficent fund before due date I would pay again and I dont need to pay fee. However, AMEX notified me of insufficient funds a few days ( on XXXX XXXX ) after the due date and charged a fee even though I paid again immediately. Also, Amex received payment two times on XXXX and XXXX XXXX Why I need to pay returning fee even though I paid two times? This is wrong and unfair. This means Amex want to collect a fee. I called Amex and asked for a {$39.00} fee wave, but it was rejected. Also I online chat with customer center in Amex but they also rejected wave fee. ( Amex does not have customer service email ) I have been using an Amex card for a long time, and Amex behavior this time is wrong and disappointing. Why Amex charge to me about returing fee? Ame get payment two times. I strongly ask that Amex wave the {$39.00} fee charged to me. I think Amex 's wrong actions and fee charges are very bad, and I really want to receive a {$39.00} fee wave.

Consumer Complaint: I received an Amex eGift Card. This includes an email " You have received an American Express eGift Card '' from XXXX. And on there I clicked the link to validate and print the card, which loads on https : //balance.amexgiftcard.com/ # /account and shows a balance. I attempt to use this on XXXX ( using {$1.00} less than the face value of the card ). And the transaction is declined. I then tried again with various other amounts less than the full face value. Many people have reported having this problem starting this past year.

Consumer Complaint: Both of these companies have been trying to collect very old debt from me, I was injured a long time ago and since then have been put on a fixed income so fixed that I had to file bankruptcy. In the case of Amex XXXX, I had two purchase guarantee agreements with their card they failed to uphold. They agreed to honor their policy which says if my purchase breaks or is not satisfactory I will get a full statement credit. I submitted a complaint and filed a claim with their department for on two purchases totaling about {$4000.00}, I was told my card would be credited that amount from XXXX purchases because my mowers broke and a service center could not be located in my zip code area. I filed an arbitration grievance when I did not get my statement credit and I was ignored. I followed every step on the back of my statement for American Express and they still failed to honor their policy. They instead filed suit and damaged my credit. The second credit card holder XXXX was advised that I was no longer able to work and afford the large amount of payments from their company, I was advised that I could file for a hardship and have my payment reduced and late payment stopped this ever happened. The account was closed and aged off of my credit reports. Today I received a letter from a lawyer that I was being sued for {$10000.00}. Third, both of these should have been included in my bankruptcy and should not be contacting me or trying to seek to collect any debt from me at this point. I was advised that every creditor would have been contacted by the bankruptcy court at the time of discharge.
