Consumer Complaint: I got a amexrewardcard and I activated it. I tried using it on XXXX and XXXX & the transactions were declined on both. Called the number provided on the website ( XXXX ) and the lady mentioned they are blocked merchants and said you should try it 'elsewhere '. When asked for a list of accepted merchants, they dont have such a list either. But the website states I should be able to use it anywhere amex is accepted. I googled and saw reddit posts stating the same and I am not the only one that this is happening to.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX I thought I was paying my XXXX card XXXX. By mistake I sent the money to American Express ( who used to manage credit for XXXX ). Only because I have a present account with American Express would American Express talk to me. They confirmed they have received a check for the amount I had sent from my bank. I have the PROOF OF PAYMENT from my bank. They concur the money was sent to American Express. After American Express confirmed they had the check they had to open an " investigation '' and a " dispute. '' It is thirty days and though they said they have a resolution but can't tell me what it is. Only a very limited number of people in the " back-end '' know the answer and I can't talk to any of them. This is my money, {$570.00}. If I were late by a cent for a credit card bill I would be hit for interest for the entire amount of the bill not the XXXX late cent. I have been without my {$570.00} for a month, I doubt I will be receiving interest on it. I am frustrated and angered by the XXXX and treatment. If they know the money isn't theirs aren't they obligated to return it? How long can they keep the money that isn't theirs?

Consumer Complaint: There are AMEX accounts on my credit report and the 3 reporting agencies show differing account numbers and information. The account numbers as listed on statements from AMEX had the 5 numbers listed as XXXX - working capital business line of credit AMEX ; XXXX - business loan AMEX 1 ) The business loan was paid online via AMEX web portal therefore, I never interacted with a collection agency so the information on my credit report is misleading. The agencies are showing accounts in collection which is not correct. See attachments showing online payment directly paid to AMEX via my online AMEX account. 2 ) The working capital line of credit was settled with AMEX XX/XX/2021 with the agreement betweenboth parties signed on XX/XX/2021, that derogatoryinformation would be removed from the credit reporting agencies and any court filing would be dismissed and removed from the courts. I don't recognize the account numbers listed with the credit reporting agencies as they are not the account numbers as provided to me from AMEX and the information on these alleged accounts does not have the accurate information. I am requesting that this account is removed from my report.

Consumer Complaint: I was approved for an American Express XXXX XXXX which is a rewards travel credit card on XX/XX/2023. The main reason I applied for the card was because of the rewards benefits which advertised that I would receive XXXX point for each dollar of regular purchases and XXXX the number of points for purchases in the travel and transit categories. After having the card for 4 months, I have noticed that I am not receiving the XXXX points for travel and transit categories that I should have earned. I reached out to the company by chat and the representative admitted that I was correct! She confirmed that I was not receiving the XXXX the number of points for the travel and transit categories which I was making purchases in. She even noticed that I was not receiving points for other purchases I made. She said she would file an investigation but the issue was never fixed and when I tried to follow up again with the company, I was not given any information or assistance. I feel I have been lied to and I would not have paid the {$150.00} annual fee for the card if I was not going to receive the rewards points as advertised since I intended to use them for travel benefits. In addition to this, I was promised a {$200.00} statement credit which I never received.

Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX yr customer of American Express with excellent payment history. I received an email on XXXX advising me that my payment was past due. I am very protective of my above XXXX cb score and shocked as I was not aware it was due, so I paid it immediately on XXXX ( balance was {$65.00} XXXX late fee ). I was somehow assigned to e-billing which I have never wanted and have requsted in the past that I recieve paper billing. I called American Express on XXXX and requested consideration for a XXXX late fee waiver under the circumstances and was denied. I went through my emails and I did not receieve an email prior to or on the due date only 3 days later when the late fee was assessed. I have notified Amex in the past that I do not want ebilling as its too easy to miss a statement with all of the junk emails they send. I feel that they intentionally want ebilling in hopes that they can generate these excessive late fees. I have also noticed that some cards put the placement of their ebilling requestes in popups on pages which are very deceptive and easy to click kin error- not stating that Amex does this specifically, but Im sure they all do. I am simply requesting the late fee waiver which is excessive for a XXXX balance as a long term customer.
