Consumer Complaint: Correction regarding complaint RE : Ref : XXXX i, the consumer, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX applied for an American Express credit card on XX/XX/XXXX, and was denied. Regardless of the reason given for being denied, as a consumer, i have the right to my own credit without hesitation or limitation. Denying my consumer access to their credit is not only discrimination, but also appears to be a securities scheme and artifice, false advertising, false and deceptive trade practices, sabotage, a mockery of honest services, and several ethics violations. American Express is registered with the Secretary of State, thus is subject to adhering to Corporate Governance Laws and Regulations, Federal Rules and Civil Procedures, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, all applicable United States Codes and Statues at Large of the United States Corporation 28 USC 3002 ( 15 ). The United States Corporation underwent bankruptcy ( 3rd ) in 1933 and decided to pledge/mortgage all the property and future labor of the people in order to participate in international trade and commerce . That property includes the Social Security Number, the name, and the date of birth i currently use as a conduit to assist the bankrupt corporation while maintaining an equitable interest. An insurance policy for the assurance policy they have for my XXXX. Therefore, as evidenced by the publicly probated stock certificate of interest ( # XXXX ) ( lest Congress would be tried for treason ), i am an undisclosed beneficial interest holder in all assets of the United States and that includes every business that is registered with the Secretary of State. American Express also appears to be in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Consumer Credit Protection Act, as well as : 15 U.S. Code 1681 ( b ) Reasonable Procedures ( Pub. L. 90321, title VI, 602, as added Pub. L. 91508, title VI, 601, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, 84 Stat. 1128. ) and 18 U.S. Code 1951 - The Hobbs Act ( XX/XX/XXXX, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 793 ; Pub. L. 103322, title XXXIII, 330016 ( 1 ) ( L ), XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX Stat. 2147. ) Since American Express is has expressly denied me my own creditworthiness due to its own elusive definition and explanation of who the original issuer of all source value credit is, as well as no institution being able to lend or extend credit per Volume 77 of the 73rd Congressional Session, specifically pages 58, 59, 60, 73, and 758, i behest American Express to retract, return, and refund my over-the-counter security created by my application of credit, pursuant to Federal Rules and Civil Procedures 1002, to ensure American Express is remaining in honor and not collecting unauthorized dividends on a fraudulent security that American Express deemed not credit worthy. This also appears to be a tortious interference with contractual relations, violating 18 U.S. Code 1951 - Interference with commerce by threats or violence ( XX/XX/XXXX, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 793 ; Pub. L. 103322, title XXXIII, 330016 ( 1 ) ( L ), XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX Stat. 2147. ) as well as a breach of contract. American Express made an offer, making them the debtor, i, the consumer accepted the offer, making me the creditor, and returned it with consideration and value ( my personal private property ) allowing American Express to benefit while i have yet to receive any performance of their offer due to a denial. If American Express should decide to retract its decision due to a mistake that may have occurred, it shall have 3 days to contact me with its decision. Let American Express be noticed should it decide to retract its decision due to a mistake that may have occurred, the following is my intent as the consumer and stands as fact : i, the consumer, XXXX XXXX XXXX, have not and shall not ever be construed as the surety, debtor, guarantor, liability, or accommodation party for American Express et al. Any and all presumptions of assent are hereby rebutted and rebuked. Any and all purchases made through American Express et al, shall be for personal and private consumer goods used primarily for household purposes and enjoyment. As the consumer, i shall not in any way be construed as a joint business partner with American Express et al, made evident by a proper filing of I.R.S. form 1065

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I decided to apply for an American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card. Prior to applying, I did a lot of research about which card to get. I was planning on making a big purchase ( pre-paying my insurance for the year ) and so I was specifically looking for a card with 0 % XXXX for the first XXXX or XXXX months. The American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card offered not only that, but also a {$250.00} bonus after spending {$3000.00} in the first 6 months. I eagerly applied. When I did, I received a notification that American Express needed a bit more time to process my application, which I assumed was normal. A little while later, I received an email from American Express letting me know that my application had been approved. I received the card shortly thereafter and started spending. This past Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, I realized that I had spent over {$3000.00} on the card but had not received the bonus. I reached out to inquire as to when I could expect the bonus and was told that there was no bonus on my account. Not only that, but I would not be receiving the 0 % APR for the first 12 months. I was told that, because I had received another offer on an American Express card at some point in the past, I was not eligible to receive a promotion on this card. That makes sense and seems reasonable. However, my issue is that I was never notified at any point in the processfrom the time I applied, to the time I received a confirmation email telling me I was approved, to the time I received my card in the mailthat I was not eligible for the promotion. When I reached out to American Express, I was gaslit and told that I had in fact been informed. ( As an aside, I am a CEO of my own company and I read each and every document that I come into contact with thoroughly. I am 100 % positive that I was never informed of this information. ) I asked the representative to prove it by sending me the documentation showing that I received this notification. Surely, in the year XXXX, that would be easy to pull up for an advanced, highly profitable credit card company? He refused. I asked if he could honor at least the 0 % XXXX, given that I had already spent money on that card anticipating having time to pay it off. Again, he refused. I believe that American Express used a deceitful practice to not inform me of my ineligibility. As I told the representative, if I had this information when I applied, I wouldve canceled my application and applied for another credit card. ( There are several out there that offer 0 % APR for the first year. )

Consumer Complaint: I have tried to use Amex Gift card at multiple locations online -- the virtual card states that it can not be used in physical stores. It failed at XXXX ( where I really wanted to use it ) and when I called Amex customer service they told me that XXXX does not accept so I should use it on XXXX. I did not want anything at XXXX but tried anyway. It was also declined there in spite of sufficient funds. Very frustrating experience and card feels unusable for me to purchase any items that I want -- in addition they have started substracting $ XXXXmonth from the balance so there is urgency to use it.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we notified American Express that they had paid out of our account fraudulent claims, We were told that it would be turned over to the fraud department, XX/XX/XXXX tthe fraud department told us that we must submit a claim which we did. Talked with reps from the fraud department on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. Each time we were told that they were working on it and the funds would be put back within 10 working days, This has not happened, On XX/XX/XXXX I asked to speak with the fraud department supervisor and was told by XXXX that she could not transfer me but she would notify the supervisor and they would call me within 48 hours, Never received a call back, American Express Savings does not seem concerned about them paying out funds that were not authorized by the depositor, As you can see we have made every attempt to resolve this matter to no avail,

Consumer Complaint: These are American Express Business Gift Cards. I purchased XXXX XXXX {$100.00} cards in XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX. Have used all but the last 2 and since XX/XX/XXXX have tried to use them online and in store for the and no one will take them. Online on XX/XX/XXXX I tried to use it on XXXX, it took the card and did an authorization but then declined it. The amount was for around {$75.00} which was under the {$100.00} balance. Had to wait several days before the Pending charge was removed. The cards still do not work anywhere. In Store it just says " Not Authorized ''. Tried XXXX XXXX twice. Contacted Amex support today XX/XX/XXXX and was told nothing was wrong with the cards to try another in store transaction at a different store and that only some store will take it now because of New Security features on the cards that require the Security Code. However at the store no where to input the code. Was told that some of the attempted transactions did not show up. I tried several online stores and they declined the cards. I checked the balance on both cards and they both have the full balance on them, which was confirmed by Amex support on the phone today. XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2023 I changed my payment due date with American Express after starting a new job. I was told that the change would go into effect by XXXX, and that I could pay the bill on the new due date in XXXX. I was reassured by the representative that Amex would waive any interest based on the new payment date if any charges were assessed because of a " late payment '' on the new due date in XXXX. I paid in full on my new due date in XXXX and was assessed interest ( around {$300.00} ) on the full amount of the balance because the new due date was not yet in effect ( I paid 3 days after the old due date ). In XXXX, I also paid my bill in full. I was assessed yet another interest charge ( around {$300.00} ) in XXXX based on failing to pay by my original XXXX due date ( trailing interest ). I called American Express in XXXX and they promised to credit me for these interest charges. They did not, and I called back in XXXX and told me that they had to escalate the matter for review. They refuse to waive the charge while the investigation is ongoing, which could take weeks. In sum, I have been charged over {$600.00} in interest on two statements for paying one bill three days late, after I changed my payment due date and was reassured that any interest charges would be waived. This behavior by American Express is fraudulent, dishonest and unfair. If a person tricked another person into incurring over {$600.00} in charges, it would be a crime. For American Express, this is just another day doing business.

Consumer Complaint: I recently won an amex gift card through a sweepstakes on XXXX, I was sent an {$100.00} virtual amex gift card, accompanied by a {$50.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was able to spend the XXXX XXXX XXXX immediately, worked well, but the amex card was a different story. I have tried every merchant possible, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and target to name a few, but I have tried many more ( including lesser known shops, just in case ) and no one will take it. I have called customer service at American express 4 or 5 times and they keep telling me the same thing, that my card is being declined for fraud protection and to keep trying merchants or to spend in store. I can not spend " in store '' when it was a virtual gift card, this lady keeps telling me that I can just type my card info in at stores in person but that's not how stores around here work, no card, no in person spending. I tried to request a check in the amount of the gift card and failed there as well as they told me the refund or check would go to who issued the gift card instead. I'm at my wits end, I have {$100.00} dollars stuck in space with bills due and shopping needed, I won that money fair and square and it isn't fair that I'm fighting a losing battle to spend it. Please help.
