Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, I submitted the attached/uploaded 21 page packet to FedLoan Servicing XXXX I sent packets to the XXXX 's noted at the bottom of the letter ( Office of Consumer Advocacy and US Department of Education ). I had requested information from FedLoan Servicing regarding the omission of my service/employment with XXXX XXXX XXXX not only in the letter dated XXXX, but in numerous emails and phone calls dating back two months prior. I have received no response, explanation or resolution. I am submitting this 21 page packet again as part of a complaint, along with payment history. I feel that with the consideration of my employment with XXXX XXXX XXXX, I met the eligibility criteria for loan forgiveness as of XX/XX/2017 and am eligible for a refund of the payments that I have made since that time. Please advise on how I may be able to have this error corrected. I have submitted this complaint to Federal Student Aid on two occasions. Each time, the case is closed with no further explanation. I have contacted the Ombudsman and received no feedback there.

Consumer Complaint: Per the US Department of Education article published XX/XX/22 lenders are to discharge ( without applying for Borrower to Defense ) all federal student loans borrowed to attend any campus owned or operated by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Corinthian ). Corinthian also owned and operated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA, XXXX that I attended. The article further states that borrowers were to receive notification within the coming weeks and that no further action was needed on the part of the borrower. The loan servicer failed to send out notification to borrowers and/or address the article. It has been three months since the publication of the article by the Department of Education. I called the loan servicer as no notification was received via email, mail, or published on their website. The loan servicer directed me to contact the Borrower to Defense hotline of studentaid.gov. They did not have a response to the publication or policy established. I tried to notify them, but they stated that it needed to come from the Borrower to Defense department. I tried to call back during the week of XX/XX/22 to notify them again. The agency referenced the sweet vs cardona case. I explained that this was different and the publication from XX/XX/22 from the Department of Education. They again directed me to the Borrower to Defense hotline and stated that they could not assist me.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX - Submitted a refund request for federal student loans paid in XXXX ( after the loan payment pause ) through XXXX to FedLoan Servicing. Customer service representative told me it will take about 2 weeks for the refund to arrive in my bank account. XX/XX/XXXX - called to check on the loan reinstatement and refund status. Customer service representative told me the Loan will be reinstated soon and the refund could take up-to 2 months. XX/XX/XXXX - my loan was reinstated on FedLoan servicing website. XXXX - I called to check on the timeline for refund as I need the money. The customer service representative mentioned that it could take up-to 150 days. I am concerned that the timeline for refund keeps going up each time I call and I dont think I would get the money ( but my loan has been reinstated already )

Consumer Complaint: My federal student loans were held with Fed Loans. I submitted the paperwork as instructed for the PSLF program. However with each submission/recertification, my date for loan forgiveness was pushed back 6 months, for a total of 18 months from the original date ( XXXX XXXX ). I was never given an explanation for why this happened, nor was the date corrected in spite of making payments on time as instructed. However now Fed Loans has been found guilty of misleading customers. I, as one of those customers, refinanced my student loans privately to prevent interest accumulation due to the dates changing. Yet I did so on false information. Now that Fed Loans has in fact been found guilty of defrauding customers, and customers are now getting credit for payments with corrections made, I would like for Fed Loans to reassume my loans so that I may have the benefit that I was promised initially.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this complaint based on the fact that i was let go from my job at XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2020, during the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic, and at such time i was unable to pay my school loan bill with American Education Services. I talked to a representative on the phone and he he offered no possible way to help with my payments at all, not lower them not defer them or anything. The only option the representative offered was to default on my lone and after a month i would be able to enter in some sort of appeal. This was impossible for me to do because my grandfather cosigned the loan and if i was late on payments then he would have been penalized. It was a very hard time losing my job right at the start of the pandemic, and no one offered any help whatsoever in regards to helping sort out payments when i literally had no money. In fact i am even more in debt and now to family members because i needed to borrow money at a time when i had absolutely no income Making Payments are still a struggle as I never did find a job that paid as much XXXX the one I was let go from and American Education Services still will not offer anything in the way of help.
