Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo sent a copy of a report with the late payments reporting on these dates XXXX XXXX XXXX unlawfully. After I asked them to not report unlawful information based on source of Consumer law 15 U.S.Code 1666B Timing of payments & 15 USC 1681a ( d ) 1. This has burdened my credit report and hindered me from obtaining financing for a home and for my business. These are the laws below 15 U.S.Code 1666B Timing of payments ( a ) Time to make payments A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose, unless the creditor has adopted reasonable procedures designed to ensure that each periodic statement including the information required by section 1637 ( b ) of this title is mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days before the payment due date. ( b ) Grace period If an open end consumer credit plan provides a time period within which an obligor may repay any portion of the credit extended without incurring an additional finance charge, such additional finance charge may not be imposed with respect to such portion of the credit extended for the billing cycle of which such period is a part, unless a statement which includes the amount upon which the finance charge for the period is based was mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days before the date specified in the statement by which payment must be made in order to avoid imposition of that finance charge. 15 USC 1681a ( d ) 1 ( d ) Consumer Report. Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX {$5000.00} was withdrawn from my savings account without my authorization through online banking ( which I have never used ). The next day, on XX/XX/XXXX another {$5000.00} was withdrawn from my savings account and {$5000.00} was redeposited into my savings account. All transactions without my knowledge or authorization and coming from accounts completely unrecognized. On XX/XX/XXXX a letter was mailed out from Wells Fargo alerting me of their discovery of unusual activity or updates on my account in regards to the above transactions. After receiving this piece of mail I went to my local Wells Fargo branch as soon as possible on XX/XX/XXXX to find out what was going on with my accounts. During this visit to my local branch I was told there was fraudulent activity on my account and to create a new checking account because my old one was compromised. I ordered new checks, changed auto-pays to the new account, etc. I was also told I will be made whole in roughly XXXX business days by Wells Fargo personal banker XXXX XXXX. I returned to Wells Fargo for any updates on XX/XX/XXXX and was then told by personal banker XXXX XXXX that it was my savings account that was compromised not my checking account. I then proceeded to have a new savings account created and my old one closed. Furthermore being assured I will be made whole by the bank in roughly XXXX business days. After this, I received a letter mailed on XX/XX/XXXX from Wells Fargo stating our research shows the transactions were made through a secure online banking session by you or someone who had your authority and that no other processing errors occurred. Which is absolutely false. I then filed a police report on XX/XX/XXXX with a sworn in statement indicating that I did not make any of the above banking transactions. I then went to the local Wells Fargo branch on XX/XX/XXXX to dispute the letter I received in the mail and let them know I filed a police report. I was advised by the police to enquire with my bank on the location of the transaction and the time an online account was opened under my accounts. I was told by both personal bankers XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX that theyre unable to give me that information. I was told by them they were going to escalate my claim and try to have it reopened again. I then received a letter mailed on XX/XX/XXXX stating well respond within XXXX business days from the date you contacted us. in regards to my accounts.

Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo sent me a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX that after reviewing my former accounts, their records indicated that unbeknownst to me was enrolled in an identify theft protection- XXXX XXXX from XXXX. I had 60 days from the date of the letter to contact them, which I did on XX/XX/XXXX. The rep I spoke with said they will cut me restitution check iao {$1400.00} and will be issues in 20-30 days. I contacted them again on XX/XX/XXXX to check the status- they said it was still in processing. I then called a third time XX/XX/XXXX to see the status of the check- again still in processing and said it will be issued in 20-30 days. Same response I received the last two calls. Where is my check? Is this a scam? I know other people have received their checks but what is the hold up here. I was taken advantage of by Wells Fargo with having this unauthorized monthly fee on my account ( mind you I also worked for WF during this time so I feel like I was really taken advantage of by my employer ) and done everything on my end to resolve this issue. Come on Wells Fargo DO BETTER and set better expectations on this!!! I am also requesting more than the {$1400.00} due to not only this taking longer to get resolved but I was taken advantage as a client and employee. Plus it was on my account for almost 5 years. I would expect it to be more than a {$1400.00} restitution. Thank you.
