Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo sold my private property to a 3rd party intervenor without my consent to do so. Then the 3rd party went & furnished damaging data about us that another Person uses as discrimination. I tried to resolve and cure this matter several times but Wells Fargo is out for blood. Wells Fargo never sent me the original contract I asked for. Wells Fargo also never balanced there books with me. I believe they have evaded the tax when it comes to my Private PropertXXXX.

Issue: Repossession
Subissue: Damage caused or loss of personal items in vehicle during the actual repossession
Consumer Complaint: In 2011, I purchased a vehicle using Wells Fargo for the loan. My payments were set up on auto pay. I had gap insurance that I was paying the car was almost paid off. The payments were up-to-date and they repressed my car after many attempts to contact Wells Fargo, and figure out why they repossessed my car. The issue was never resolved. Now I have read information online that this happened to a lot of people and there is a lawsuit being settled, but the Wells Fargo representatives told me that I was not eligible for the lawsuit I feel like my situation is exactly what the lawsuit is describing. They recently sent me a check for {$41.00} claiming it was an overpayment from my auto loan. Not sure how I have an overpayment when my car was repossessed for delinquent payments

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: It took less than one minute to open account online. There was no option to make this a non recurring deposit. Information on how to close account, recurring nature, penalties was hidden in fine print. When I wanted to close the account I was told I had to do this within 7 days of maturity to avoid penalty. When I attempted to do that I spent 1.5 hours in the phone : 1. Main menu after wells fargo premier line offers 4 for time deposit. Connects to credit card. They attempted to connect me to the " right '' person. Resulted in being back in main menu, 10 minutes holds and XXXX information ( can only be closed in person ). 2. After one hour I got to customer advocacy which took 30 minutes to close account 3. I believe this is close to or actually is entrapment : it is next to impossible to close the account if you are not persistent and have 1.5 hours during working hours. You have only 7 days after maturity or incur a3 month interest rate penalty. And it takes less than one minute online to open this account but like XXXX XXXX doesn't let you leave Wells Fargo should not be allowed to have this product if it is not as easily closed as opened

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: I previously had a Wells Fargo Visa credit card that was hacked and used in an identity theft event to make an unauthorized purchase. So Wells Fargo cancelled and inactivated that card so it could no longer be used, and also sent me a new, replacement card with a NEW credit card number. However, when the new card arrived, I decided I no longer needed this new, replacement credit card, so I NEVER activated it and tossed it somewhere ( it's probably in a drawer somewhere in the house... ). I am still paying off the balance on the old, hacked credit card. Well, on XXXX XXXX I paid a cable bill using my current DEBIT card ( I no longer use credit cards ). The cable company got paid twice ( which is fine since there's always an ongoing, monthly balance on this bill ). BUT, the XXXX charge was charged to that credit card that I NEVER activated. I used to receive a text message indicating a charge whenever I used that old credit card ( with the last XXXX digits of the credit card used ), so when I paid the cable bill over the phone, I thought it was strange that I got a text message saying the cable bill amount paid was charged to my credit card, BUT I did NOT recognize the number it included. Turns out I didn't recognize it because it was the last XXXX digits of that replacement card I NEVER activated. Wells Fargo has tried to continue blaming the cable company for supposedly making that XXXX charge against the old, hacked, inactivated credit ( though when I paid the bill on the phone, I only authorized one ( 1 ) charge against my debit card, NOTHING more ). The point I tried to make with Wells Fargo was what was the use of cancelling the hacked card so it couldn't be use but charging the replacement credit card I NEVER activated, when they would just allow a charge I did NOT authorize to go through anyway. Some credit card security. They are refusing to move forward unless I also give them my DEBIT card number that was CORRECTLY charged for the cable bill amount. I'm refusing to give it to them because that's just another number they can make screwups with - I have no dispute about the amount charged to the DEBIT card. Wells Fargo has a history of screwups they've REFUSED to resolve - the last one involved 2 different HOAs for 2 DIFFERENT residences in 2 DIFFERENT cities ( the 2 different HOAs may have used the same bank ). I paid the monthly HOA dues for one residence but Wells Fargo credited it to the OTHER, totally different HOA- it looked like someone at WF was just too lazy, saw the designation " HOA '', and just dumped the dues money into the first HOA bucket they saw. This HOA dues issue was NEVER resolved by Wells Fargo- I simply got a refund from the one HOA who incorrectly received it and paid it to the correct HOA.

Issue: Other transaction problem
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 {$8400.00} XXXX was removed from my Wells Fargo bank account via an online wire transfer. I was not notified of this transaction nor did I have any involvement in authorizing it. I immediately contacted Wells Fargo where they advised me that the money was sent to another person who I have no connection to. Wells Fargo informed me that the money was removed from my account ; however, the funds were not yet fully deposited into the other bank account. Despite the money not yet being deposited into the other account and the money not being in my account either, Wells Fargo was unable to tell me where the money is. I advised Wells Fargo that I never placed or authorized this transaction and had no involvement in doing so. Wells Fargo told me that it had to be my fault since the person who made the transfer used my information. Law Enforcement was then contacted and quickly identified and located the suspect who conducted the transfer. Due to the suspect being outside of the range for extradition, the suspect has yet to be arrested. The criminal investigation revealed that my personal cellular device was either compromised or a phone port was used to access my Wells Fargo account. Additionally, Wells Fargo informed me that they sent several passcodes via text to my phone which I never received. Despite Wells Fargo already having this information they still made me request my phone records which clearly showed that I did not receive any such messages. Wells Fargo has continued to refuse to refund the money that was stolen from my account and shifting responsibility to me for their own failure in fiduciary duties to protect my funds. Law Enforcement also has a subpoena for my bank records to further show that I did not have access to my account in regards to this transaction. I have attached the initial police report to this submission. This report does not have all of the information that has been discovered over the course of the investigation and only provides a brief overview of the case.

Consumer Complaint: I will attach documents when I get home tomorrow. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX My husband unknowingly forged my name off of our checking account at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX North Carolina XXXX He did this with an employee who has multiple aliases and no longer is with Wells Fargo. In XX/XX/2014 when I realized he forged my name, I tried every way possible to get information from Wells Fargo and was turned away. Accounts were locked and I could not gain access. I actually was instructed to leave 2 Wells Fargo branches where I had made appointments before I ever got to the door. I was escorted out and told " There must be a mistake on your end, this never happened ''. Fortunately I got the 6 months which showed illegal activity, monies moved to unknown accounts, checks from a restaurant group, XXXX XXXX XXXX, we ( now he ) owns moved through account. He had accounts for his personal business, The XXXX XXXX, - advertising as well through Wells Fargo and was always giving this particular banker, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX Tickets, Big Concert tickets, etc, for " helping him out ''. When I contacted the XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX the day I found out, I called that bank and a banker confirmed the wrongdoing and said " wow, weird things are happening to your account, let me schedule you tomorrow morning when our branch manager will be in '' When I arrived at the appointment, I was met half way down the sidewalk, asked my name, and I was told " there was no forgery on my account, and I would need to leave the bank ''. Later I was told that everyone at that bank during that time had been fired XXXX of 2014. I had my mom in Pennsylvania with great WF bankers told " something is going on ''. During a hellacious divorce, we subpoenaed the bank 3 times for these documents ( the 6 months from XX/XX/2014 XXXX 2014 ) and we were ignored or when sent twice contained XXXX years of records minus those 6 months. Again, I had the 6 months and all checks, deposits, withdraw, info already showing illegal, fraudulant activity. My ex was not going to stop to protect himself, his money, etc. and I finally settled in order to keep my sanity and see my kids. Our battle continued and kept me from pursuing this out of fear, disbelief, and knowing he nor the bank was never going to give in.. Stamped subpoenas by the judge and the bank would not release the information showing there was a lot more to this fraudulent activity that they were covering up.. I am sure if you look up this banker you will find all kinds of shady things. Interestingly enough and maybe of sheer coincidence there is an XXXX XXXX XXXX In NY who was involved in a federal Wells Fargo debacle. I only mention this because when doing a search for XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX he has XXXX under XXXX also known as '' ..Maybe a coincidence but worth mentioning. Again, I have all documents and have worked with 3 attorneys during my divorce and ongoing custody battle. This has just been put on the back burner trying to remain sane. Please contact me if there is anywhere this information can go. I would hate anyone else go through the trauma, deceit, and after affects this has had on my life and my children.
