Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo has violated multiple Truth In Lending Act Laws and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Laws including but not limited to furnishing false and deceptive forms, harassment, theft and identity theft, coercing and extortion of payments on an extension of credit and I would like to evoke my specified remedy. I requested an audit trail of all accounting of origination of the unlawful money that was allegedly given and an authenticated verifiable contract bearing my wet signature, but they failed to provide this and continue to knowingly break the law. I spoke with XXXX XXXX from Wells Fargo and he said Wells Fargo denied my right to try and settle this dispute through arbitration. Therefore, I filed a claim and demand Wells Fargo to cease and desist ALL COLLECTION EFFORTS in regards to my property. They continue to break the law and violate my rights and I need this to stop immediately. Wells Fargo continues to try to use unfair practices in attempts to commit theft/unlawful repossesion of my property that they don't have a right to do. I demand a Wells Fargo release any encumbrances or liens from my property immediately.

Consumer Complaint: This civil complaint HAS BEEN filed because federal laws were broken. The defendant owes {$10000.00} for violating my rights under the provisions of the Truth in Lending Act. Valuable information was not disclosed making the contract null and void. A consumer credit transaction was performed which included a Finance Charge. The Finance charge does not include charges of a type payable in a comparable cash transaction. The finance charge shall not include fees and amounts imposed by a third party such as a down payment and should have included insurance and service. THIS INFORMATION WAS NEVER DISCLOSED. Wells Fargo is not holder in due course of the note, they provided a forged note, failed to provide the accounting of origination of loan, failed to disclose valuable information, and illegally collected a down payment on an extension of credit. They also violated provisions of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well. PURSUANT TO XXXX XXXX I HAVE A RIGHT TO REQUEST FOR ACCOUNTING AND I WAS DENIED THIS RIGHT BY WELLS FARGO XXXX This took place between XX/XX/2022 and present day. The relief Im seeking is {$10000.00} in damages, removal of all encumbrances/liens from property, and cease and desist all collection efforts.

Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo Card Services is continuing to illegally report on my consumer report after the 7 year cut off past the date of first delinquency. The account first went into default in XXXX of XXXX and has not been current since then. No payment was made to bring the account current since XXXX and the account should have been removed in XXXX of XXXX. The FCRA states that an account that is delinquent can appear on your consumer report for 7 years after the date of first delinquency, not the date that the account was charged off. Wells Fargo also never sent me any disclosures regarding my right to dispute the debts or charges or credit reporting that was inaccurate which is a violation of 15 USC 1666. Those disclosures are required by both state and federal law. The reporting of this seriously delinquent account has affected my credit in such a negative way that I have not been able to qualify for credit cards, loans, or cars. This is affecting my life to the point where I can no longer support myself or my business or most importantly my family.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from XXXX XXXX ( I guess this is who XXXXXXXX XXXX uses for their department charge card ) alerting me to an unpaid amount that has been accruing late fees. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to inquire about the charges since I had not purchased anything nor did I authorize any purchases. I was redirected from XXXX XXXX to XXXX 's fraud department. I spoke to the fraud department asking them when the charges were made, who signed for the charges, and XXXX 's could not provide any of this information. I informed them that I had not made any purchases in XX/XX/2023. The amounts XXXX 's has been quoting me that I owed was between {$200.00} and then {$400.00} ( I received no bill and no straight answer answer from XXXX 's ). When I asked the fraud department ( at XXXX ) how anyone can charge on an account if the department card is not present, they said, " all anyone has to do is call up an account number '' I then replied, " how does an employee confirm that the person making the charge is the same name on the license as the account. '' The employee at XXXX 's XXXX said, " We don't ask for any confirmation. '' I then asked, " what do you do to ensure protection of your customer? '' The XXXX rep 's reply, " nothing. '' I informed the XXXX XXXX XXXX department that I only purchase the same items twice a year and that if they look at my purchase profile, the fraudulent purchase are inconsistent. I also pay my any amounts I owe and I am never late. I explained to XXXX 's that these fraudulent charges sound like an employee made these purchases. The rep did not respond. The fraudulent charges were made at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, TX. I filed a police report and have been trying to get XXXX 's fraud department to respond and nothing thus far. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I received a phone call from an individual named XXXX XXXX who said he was an officer at my local sheriff 's office. He told me I had missed my jury duty date, that there was a warrant for my arrest and needed to pay bail and a fine for missing it and come into the station to fill out paperwork to send to the courts. I was extremely scared of the repercussions and he said that I needed to pay the fines and fees to avoid getting in further trouble. He told me I needed to go to a kiosk in my local XXXX if I wanted to pay the fines so I went and sent the money through the ATM/Money Order kiosk. I sent {$4800.00} dollars in two transactions because they said the first one didn't go through ( {$3800.00} and {$1000.00} ) and I believed them. Once I sent the money and told them I was on the way to the police station for the paperwork they hung up on me and then I realized I was being scammed. I immediately called Wells Fargo to report the fraud and had my claim submitted. I also submitted a police report and reported the scam to my state 's attorney general 's office. I also contacted the company, XXXX, that the money was sent through to see if there was any information I could get about canceling the transfer or about the scammer 's account. They were not able to return the money but they provided me the transaction information. I called Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX and they told me they denied my claim since my debit card was entered into the kiosk machine regardless that I was scammed of nearly XXXX XXXX dollars. I am over simplifying the emotions I went through on the ninth but I was and still am experiencing a lot of stress and financial burden as a young adult who has now lost a lot of money with seemingly no way to get it back. I can provide the WF claim number, my police report number, my emails with XXXX, and the response from the Attorney General 's office. I appreciate any help the CFPB can provide, thank you.
