Consumer Complaint: I received a text message, from who I thought, was Wells Fargo asking if I authorized a purchase on my bank account. I replied NO, and they said a Wells Fargo Rep would contact me shortly. About an hour later, I received a call that said Wells Fargo XXXX XXXX XXXX ) XXXX so I answered. The guy on the phone stated that we were involved in a fraud, and he would need to freeze our account so more funds wouldn't be taken out. But that we could still access the funds through XXXX. At the time it was very believable since the caller ID stated it was Wells Fargo. He asked that I create a XXXX account and move the money from my savings to the XXXX account. We did 2 transfers of {$500.00} to equal {$1000.00}. That was all I had in my savings account. Right after I called my mom and she stated that it was most likely a scam. I immediately called Wells Fargo to report the scam. They did 2 different claims since it was done in 2 transactions of {$500.00}. We ended up getting one of the {$500.00} back and it got approved. The other {$500.00} was denied. When asked I just got the run around and they wouldn't explain to me why.

Consumer Complaint: My Wells Fargo active cash rewards card was charged {$500.00} by XXXX # XXXX. I noticed and reported the fraud a few days later, but the charge went through on XX/XX/. There were several other gaming charges made during that 2 day span including from XXXX which leads me to believe it was the same criminal ( s ). Wells Fargo credited me back for the XXXX charges, but denied the {$500.00} XXXX fraud claim because they said it was using mobile wallet, and the fraud issue isnt with my card, but actually with my mobile wallet. When I asked who I would report the mobile wallet hacking to, they said they dont know. Its very clear to me that I was the target of gaming fraud charges in XXXX, NY and my bank did not contact the merchant or do any due diligence to track the mobile wallet fraud source. I feel that my accounts are unprotected. I have been a loyal Wells Fargo customer for nearly 30 years, and do not feel like they thoroughly looked into this matter to vindicate me as customer. Based on the payment method used, they washed their hands of my claim.

Consumer Complaint: I opened 4 debit card claims on XX/XX/2023, under the claim XXXX XXXX XXXX. After was opened they changed several times the claims numbers. I provided the invoice and letter explaining the situation and the claim was denied without any answer or providing the tracking number or delivery confirmation. The bank didnt follow the XXXX card procedures of chargeback, and also didnt follow the transfer Act and regulation C. The bank is required to reach the merchant, it takes usually up to 90 days. In this case they took XXXX weeks to take a desition without reaching the merchant or taking care of the documentation provided where is shown that the merchant MUST send the items to my address on file. And the merchant never respond or sent anything to me. If the bank denied the claim means they have the tracking number for the purchase or delivery confirmation signed by someone and wnat to have it to see it.

Consumer Complaint: During the process, i applied for forbearance at the beginning of XXXX XXXX. I received a letter saying I was approved, I still continued making payments in which then I called and said, " I no longer need help from forbearance. '' This is when I was told I was never approved for forbearance because I was " behind '' XXXX months. I then tried my best to come up with the XXXX months, I paid the XXXX months with some money i received, and as i made the payments the tailor told me that the forbearance had been approved. I then asked to receive the check that i already paid but the tailor said she would have to mail the money back to me. As i called the back, I was informed that everything was cancelled because of the money I took back. The money that i took wasn't supposed to have any effect on the process because that was the XXXX months which was claimed to not be paid, so I had to restart the process of the forbearance again. As i was waiting for the next forbearance release process, I paid the XXXX months over again in the amount of {$3600.00}. I wrote them and thanked them for their help. My case was ongoing for XXXX months and after the fact, I paid the XXXX missing months meaning my case should've been up to date. Around XXXX this year, I received a letter from HUD claiming that I owed them {$3600.00} for the payment I already paid for the XXXX months I was behind. There are also some payments that I have on record which the bank doesn't have.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX there was a check deposited into my Wells Fargo account. Which I did not log into my bank until three days later and seen that it was in the negative. The money was taken out at an atm using my debit card which was lost. For my transactions Ive only used XXXX XXXX which I mentioned to the bank because I didnt know where my card was but they still denied my claim. Around XXXX my social security number and my driver license was posted on instagram by someone I know, and ever since then Ive been getting letters in the mail about trying to open a new account with different banks which I did not do. Now my Wells Fargo bank is in the negative because of a check I did not deposit. Ive been on XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX, I have not been to an atm or have any way of getting paid, since Im XXXX XXXX and dont get a maternity leave check. I do not know where the check came from the signature on the check doesnt even match mine. I start back working on XX/XX/XXXX and that is the only bank account I have, but my account is XXXX and I dont want the money I make from work to go into the account and just lower the negative balance because I never deposited the check.

The amount was XXXX I believe or somewhere in that range. 13 years later they were audited and found that they owed me my money back. After 13 years of holding onto my money, they sent me a check for XXXX cents which if I owed them any money they would be charging me interest every month like nothing until paid. So why after XXXX do they get to walk away with a slap on the wrist I am not okay with this and I told the branch manager in XXXX XXXX same thing this is not right.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I received an email regarding a purchase on XXXX for {$380.00}. I contacted Wells Fargo immediately in the Sunday and Monday following this transaction. I told them I didn't authorize this transaction and I didn't know who XXXX XXXX the receiver would be. The stole this amount of money for me using my banking information which I never authorized this purchase at all. Wells Fargo helped me transfer into a new account and account and they denied my claim telling me that they believe the transaction was made by me or someone authorized by me. I have never used XXXX for any purchases now or in the past. I only ever use my credit card, debit card or I am aware of all purchases I commit to. Also in the mail I received a card notifying me someone was trying to remove my mother from my current account, which again I didn't authorize and find this activity very suspicious. I have changed all my current passwords for my accounts and would like this issue to be resolved.

Consumer Complaint: We book a vacation back in XXXX. Then we decided to get a refund due to personal reasons. I called the place and said I was cancelling and they told me it was okay. Never got my refund. I opened an escalation with Wells Fargo and went through a few months until they made my credit permanent. Now in XXXX they change my card since they finished their contract with XXXX XXXX shipped me a new card and a new charge comes out. Im not even aware of what this charge is for. After going back and forth for hour long calls and multiple departments they tell me is coming from that credit that was already permanent. I go back and forth with them emailing the board of directors and nothing happens. Then after another month of calling back and forth I get an email on XX/XX/13 saying that my credit is now permanent for XXXX $ but the credit they added to my account is XXXX XXXX They made an excuse that it was an overcharged and denied my dispute again. Now they are asking me ti take legal action to the merchant. I just want my credit to stay permanent.
