Consumer Complaint: US Bank placed a security hold on my account because I changed addresses in XX/XX/XXXX. To release the hold, I have uploaded all documents they requested, including : Social Security Card, Driver 's license, Bank Statement, Tax form. Everything was exactly as requested. Still, after calling multiple times, we are now in XX/XX/XXXX, and they refuse to release the hold on my account and send me out a card. Also, they refuse to tell me why they won't send out a new card. They have essentially stolen {$15000.00} of my money. I don't know if they think they can get away with this, but will file a complaint with law enforcement, and take them to civil court if necessary.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/21 - went into U.S.Bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX bank to open just a checking account. Bank servicing person was XXXX XXXX XXXX set-up I specifically said that I did NOT want overdraft protection. She gave me a form acknowledging my choice but also had me " e-sign '' that I agreed to a Reserve Line of Credit which is specifically for Overdraft protection. This caused a hit against my credit score and a reduction in my credit worthiness, not to mention the issuing of a unsolicited, unwanted credit instrument due to her Sales Misconduct and Bad Sales practices ( ala XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/21 - after receiving a number of emails speaking to my " credit approval '', which I have never seen required to open a checking account, I return to the bank and talk to another bank officer, XXXX, and ask what this was all about. I show him my copy of my " Overdraft '' refusal and ask what generated this line of credit that I didn't ask for. He showed my signature at the bottom of the Line of Credit Acknowledgement Statement. I was a bit taken aback because there was my signature and I couldn't explain it. So now I have two papers in direct opposition to each other. A few days later I realize the Line of Credit was an E-signature. Easily slipped into other docs and maybe stated through masks and plexiglass, but certainly the opposite of my expressed and documented " no overdraft '' demand.

On XX/XX/XXXX us bank reversed the transaction stating I needed to fax Id then they would refund my account. On XXXX I faxed Id, on XXXX they unlocked my card. I have called over 15 times to see where my money is and get told give it 5 days every time. Now I was given a tracking number and told there is nothing else they can do. I contacted the bank the tracking number is for, which is not mine, and they stated the number only shows them tacking the money back it was never refunded, I call us bank back and is told they cant help me anymore. I have no clue how to get my money back or who can help me. It has been over a month and no one can tell me where my money is.

On four specific occasions while using the machine all of the sudden the machine took my card and would not return it. I could not withdraw any money in my account and literally had to go without adequate money for the weekend. Each time I confronted the Branch Manager and he indicated he was sorry, but he did not bother to fix the problem. I did contact the Corporate in XXXX XXXX, MN without any success. By not allowing me access to my money the Bank in essence had financial gain since it was able to keep my money during and make interest on it at a time that I needed it. This is an act of Fraud.
