We were denied the loan modification and forced to do a short sale instead of bankruptcy due to my husbands clearance. He had been XXXX XXXX from the military ( job loss ) and we had to move out of state for my husband to secure employment and went from a XXXX income family to a XXXX income family since I was a real estate agent and had to start over with my business. We now have a short sale on our record, can not use our VA Loan and have to pay back $ XXXX to ever use a government loan again.

Consumer Complaint: US Bank reversed a transaction for {$82.00} from XXXX for a night I didn't stay there and a week after they left. They also reversed {$510.00} charged to me by XXXX again for credit owed to me by the XXXX hotel and nearly a week of days I didn't stay there. XXXX already owed me a {$100.00} on top of that for my deposit. And US bank didn't even send me a letter warning me of the last transaction for {$510.00}. They just took the money back. They didn't contact me to ask me for any evidence for which I absolutely had. The debit card team refuses to return my calls. I have solid proof that my claims are true and US bank seriously doesn't even contact me over this. I moved into an apartment, the payment even shows on my bill for XXXX XXXX. I am taking all my money out of US Bank because you don't protect your client 's money and I will either be getting a lawyer or taking them to small claims court. They already caused me to lose hundreds of dollars by improperly handling an earlier case and their agents not giving me the correct advice when I could have done a XXXX dispute as an alternative. US Bank absolutely is not handling this legally and is the worst bank I have ever dealt with.

Consumer Complaint: I transferred a balance to my USBank card in XXXX or XXXX. I lost my job. I was unable to pay and I was experiencing some sever medical issues. USBank would not work with me at all regarding these issues. They forced my CC into charge-off status without attempting to negotiate with me. I have tried multiple times to talk to them. They hang up on me. They do not give me account details. They will not tell me why every single month they report this account as late. I believe in paying your debts but I was counseled by a lawyer not to pay UsBank any outstanding amount unless they would remove the account from the credit record. I found this to be somewhat fair, and USBank has refused any offer to negotiate. They need to be aware the statute of limitations to sue me has passed, and if they ever want my payment, they need to agree to a pay-for-removal. I do think I deserve the punitive actions this bank is actively taking to hurt me. I am trying to better my life and what is standing in my way is the abusive reporting and absolute brick wall attitude of UsBank. I was injured and had an income of {$0.00}, for years. It is clearly something personal they are doing.

Consumer Complaint: US Bank ( Mortgage Lender ) did the escrow assessment on XX/XX/XXXX. The assessment showed that there was an excess of {$13000.00} which was to be returned within 20 days ( XXXX Timely escrow payments and treatment of escrow account balances ). I have still not received the Cheque from the bank after 60 days and it is causing financial hardship because I have owe that amount to the county in supplemental property taxes. I have made several attempts to get in touch with the bank to resolve this issue but it has not been resolved yet. Please see details of interactions with Mortgage department of US bank. XX/XX/XXXX : Called in to check the status of Cheque. Was told the cheque was never dispatched. Advised to call back on XX/XX/XXXX to request reissuing a new cheque XX/XX/XXXX : Called in to reissue the cheque. Cheque reissued, expected to arrive by XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : The cheque did not arrive. Called back again, chatted with XXXX, ( XXXX ID : XXXX ). Was informed that the US Bank Agent committed a mistake in issuing the cheque on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX re-issued the cheque, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : The cheque still not there. Chatted with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ID : XXXX ). Was informed the cheque will arrive by end of day XX/XX/XXXX. Almost 60 days have passed since the amount was approved. Not receiving such a huge amount back for a long period of time has caused financial stress and hardship, fines on escrow payments and interest on credit cards. US banks delay is entirely responsible for this suffering

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Sent card you never applied for
Consumer Complaint: Received a letter on XX/XX/2022 saying I applied for a " XXXX Credit Card '', but because they could not verify my identity they were unable to approve the application. This letter was from " XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, ND XXXX ''. The company name is apparently " Elan Financial Services ''. Ref : XXXX. I believe this letter is a scam since I didn't apply for the credit card, nor has an inquiry been made on my credit report. I have learned others have received similar letters for the last few years, or have other various complaints. They need to quit sending unsolicited letters to trick people into calling them. I did NOT call them since that is what they are trying to get people to do.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I missed a credit card payment. I received a letter from US Bank dated XX/XX/XXXX. It was a " right to cure '' letter which said that if payment was made promptly then late penalties would be waived. I paid the account the next day ( XX/XX/XXXX ). No waiver was added to my account. The account also reported 30 days past due. Under the CARES ACT SEC 4021 the " right to cure '' letter fits the definition of " accommodation '' under " any other assistance or relief. '' as it is defined : ( I ) ACCOMMODATION.The term accommodation includes an agreement to defer 1 or more payments, make a partial payment, forbear any delinquent amounts, modify a loan or contract, or any other assistance or relief granted to a consumer who is affected by the coronavirus disease XXXX ( COVID19 ) pandemic during the covered period. Since XXXX the account has been and remained current. I called US Bank card services department in XXXX to see why the waiver had not been applied. The rep I spoke with stated that they were not able to see letters mailed out. She offered me no solution. On XX/XX/XXXX I mailed in a XXXX challenge letter which asked that my personal information be updated to reflect consistent reporting and to update my account as PAID AS AGREED NEVER LATE. They refused and updated the account status as before. On XX/XX/XXXX I called US Bank again. I spoke with a rep ( XXXX ) that sated she could not view whether a letter was sent nor read the letter if one existed. I asked to speak to a manager. She connected me to XXXX who said she was a manger. XXXX then gave me all of the information about the XX/XX/XXXX letter and stated that the late fee waiver should have been applied. XXXX then entered the waiver manually and informed that the account would reflect the changes within 2-3 business days. While I am extremely grateful for the waiver the time and energy that it has taken to resolve this issue has been a nightmare. I have since been denied credit for my personal day to day actives. I was specifically denied a limit increase by US Bank even based on the delinquent payment which should have been removed. This card is secured by my own funds. I did not pay to be treated like this and get denied credit because of some bureaucratic lag. Things have been very difficult during the pandemic and financial issues just compound the problems. Since the date of the missed payment, the " right to cure '' letter, and payments made to keep the account current all fall under the time period set forth in the CARES ACT SEC 4021 amendment to the FCRA. Therefore I qualify for the relief that, up until XXXX helped me, was withheld illegally by simply withholding information, sowing confusion or verifying inaccurate information. The waiver should have been entered as the payment was made. The waiver qualifies the account to be updated as current per SEC 4021. Documents attached show the late payment was applied. That account was paid on XX/XX/XXXX for {$300.00}. Under the CARES ACT and FCRA this account should be reporting as current with no lates ( ii ) REPORTING.Except as provided in clause ( iii ), if a furnisher makes an accommodation with respect to 1 or more payments on a credit obligation or account of a consumer, and the consumer makes the payments or is not required to make 1 or more payments pursuant to the accommodation, the furnisher shall ( I ) report the credit obligation or account as current ; or ( II ) if the credit obligation or account was delinquent before the accommodation ( aa ) maintain the delinquent status during the period in which the accommodation is in effect ; and ( bb ) if the consumer brings the credit obligation or account current during the period described in item ( aa ), report the credit obligation or account as current.

Consumer Complaint: We were the victims of fraud, as we fell for a fake loan and used XXXX to transfer funds to the scam artist. US Bank has blocked access to our account, and also is trying to collect on the difference, causing us to look elsewhere for a bank. US Bank has never asked for the emails, phone numbers, contact info, etc. and this has ruined our ability to qualify for many financial services. We were also placed in a situation where we were not able to pay our bills as well. I have tried MULTIPLE TIMES to contact the Fraud Investigation Department, but without result. This has been a very stressful and financially horrible experience.
