Consumer Complaint: I previously had opened US Bank account with US bank branch in XXXX XXXX, CA sometime in early XXXX. My checking account with US BANK was under investigation sometime in XXXX of XXXX. My checking account was then closed approximately one of the first days of XX/XX/XXXX. It had a positive balance of {$2500.00}. I am still waiting on getting those funds returned to me as of today, XX/XX/XXXX. Frequent communication with the US bank branch at XXXX XXXX ( on XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) over the past 11 months has gotten nothing more then telling me to wait. The branch manager has even told me that the back office, which is supposedly where my funds are still being held is telling her not to release my money to me yet she is trying, at risk of losing her job, to try and get me my funds back. It is such a lie and is such an insulting thing to say. I feel like they are playing with me and my money. I don't know if she finds this whole situation amusing but to me it is everything but and her lack of professionalism is very disappointing, to say the least. All she keeps telling me is that she will get in touch with me once she has a check for me. Yet she has been saying the same old song for almost a year now. I am sick and tired of being jerked around. XXXX is enough. I want my funds returned to me, in full, no later then by the end of next week. Thank you for taking my complaint.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX a payment was paid via bill pay from my bank to US Credit Card account for entire statement balance of XXXX, this posted to my US Bank Credit card account on XX/XX/. USBANK then proceeds to try to autopay the SAME AMOUNT of XXXX, as a pending payment to be effective/posted on XXXX I want to make this clear, this is a duplicate payment. I have tried cancelling it online, and also reached out to customer care, they will not let me cancel it for some unknown reason ( payment has NOT been processed yet, so it is not even in progress ). Their only option is to allow payment to go through, and ask for a credit after it posts, which could take over a month. This money is needed asap ( food, expenses, bills, mortgage ), and will sit interest free as a negative balance to my credit card, because US Bank for some reason can not cancel the ach payment that is occurring multiple days from now.

Consumer Complaint: Recently I noticed that when I travel international ( XXXX ) to be more specific I noticed whenever I use my US Bank Debit Card I have been charged both an ATM fee, a transaction fee and an international transaction fee. On XX/XX/2023 I made a purchase XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX @ a total cost of {$7900.00} and I was charged a processing fee of {$230.00} there are many other processing fees that has been charged to my account in different amount from {$3.00} and up. I was not informed about these charges so I think that the bank should reverse these processing fees.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check from XXXX in the amount of {$18000.00} in my US Bank checking account by ATM XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX AM. This was for the sale of a vehicle to XXXX. When I called customer service on XX/XX/XXXX to ask about availability, I was told there was a 5-day hold on the funds and they would be available on XX/XX/XXXX. When I called the local branch on XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that the hold is for 7 days and that Monday is a holiday so the funds will not be available until XX/XX/XXXX. There is no good reason with today 's banking system for a bank to have a 7-day hold. It's highly likely that the check has already cleared the bank used by XXXX with the funds being available to US Bank. This is just a large bank taking advantage of a consumer.

Consumer Complaint: My father ( an XXXX XXXX ) and I opened an account with US Bank, my father chose to leave it opened for many years without activity. This week we got an statement saying that the account was closed and the founds we had there were gone. We opened the account under a XXXX XXXX Checking that was offered to him as no fees for any reason. Furthermore, on XX/XX/2017 we received a letter saying that we needed to sign and mail a " Account Acknowledgment '' to prevent the account from accruing {$5.00} per month dormancy fee, I personally completed and sent the form ; at that time the account had a balance of {$91.00}. In the letter received this week money is all gone and account is closed. US Bank has had our current address and phone number at all time. Called customer service and a XXXX said there is nothing US Bank can do about this at this point. My father and I are very much alive and we want our money back.

Consumer Complaint: I had purchased a pair of pants at XXXX XXXX XXXX. They did not fit and I returned them. Pretty simple. They cost {$44.00} and were purchased on XX/XX/XXXX. The item was returned with tags on it XX/XX/XXXX. My credit card was not refunded for the item in question. I contacted the store in a couple days to ask, and they stated they would investigate. They called back and indicated they investigated internally and sent the money to Fidelity Credit Card ( Elan Financial ). I contacted the number on the back of my card. They indicated they did not receive the funds and couldn't find it but sometimes it takes a month to to come in. When I waited until XX/XX/XXXX, no funds had arrived. I disputed the amount, but didn't know the exact amount as the receipt was in the other room, but I said it was around {$50.00}. When I asked for the money back and disputed the charge, they stated they will start an investigation and issued a preliminary credit. The representative on the phone stated they would credit me {$57.00} just to be safe but they could amend it during the investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, they sent me a letter with a photocopy of the receipt from the transaction, and stated that it is different than the amount disputed. I circled the amount and stated that they have the correct one now, that it is correct on the receipt. Good job thank you. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another letter indicated that I " had not responded to the first letter and my dispute was closed and the amount was un-charged back ''. So they charged {$57.00} back to my account, but did not rectify it with the correct amount. I called immediately, and a representative stated they would reopen the dispute, could see my concern and saw the documents and weren't sure why it hasn't been processed and to give it a month. A month goes by, I called at the beginning of XXXX. They indicate the same thing, please don't report to the CFPB, give it another couple weeks it should get processed, wow that is crazy, yadda yadda. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I am still out {$47.00} for a pair of pants that were returned months ago. Please help me! It isn't the money that is concerning ( though I do want it back ), it is the principle of the matter. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: {$6000.00} was withdrawn from my account on XX/XX/XXXX - it was unauthorized - US Bank claims they withdrew this to offset payment on business Credit card from XXXX. I never signed an agreement for that card. Never approved an offset - and the debt on the card is disputed. Further more the account was open with Union Bank and converted to US Bank by acquisition so I never opened and checking account with USBank I was converted to US Bank - I signed up fior Union bank checking account and the money withdrawn was from a Union Bank account I signed up for not a US Bank account. These funds being taken from my joint account are causing financial hardship and irreparable damage to my financial reputation. Further I did discuss with Union Bank branch manager prior to the conversion if any of the terms of my account would change and was assured that thru XX/XX/XXXX the account would have and follow all the terms of Union Bank and my agreements with Union Bank
