Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: My card was recently stolen and used for a slew of unauthorized transactions. They started on XX/XX/XXXX and ended on XX/XX/XXXX. It started with a transaction from automotix for {$1000.00} and ended with a purchase from footlocker for {$140.00}. There were multiple atm withdrawals for different amounts and a couple of online purchases. Every transaction posted from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX was not me and was unauthorized. I called in a timely matter on XX/XX/XXXX as soon as I noticed the unauthorized activity Im guessing it took some time for some transactions to post. The total amount lost was {$7500.00}

Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue: Closing disclosure or other related disclosures
Consumer Complaint: We sold a property that we had a mortgage through Truist bank, originally Suntrust prior to their merger, and as part of the sale we requested payoff information from Truist Bank, mortgage holder, thru the buyers closing agent which was received on or about XXXX. After closing, XXXX, we received the Truist payoff letter from the closing agent which included what we contend is an erroneous interest amount assigned by Truist, {$230.00} versus amount shown on Truist XXXX statement of {$58.00}. The amount in our escrow account on the XXXX statement is shown as {$990.00} however there are no XXXX funds listed as being " due '' on the XXXX XXXX XXXX letter from Truist. The Truist final statement dated XXXX shows the following : XX/XX/2023 - Actual Escrow balance of {$690.00} XX/XX/2023 - Actual Escrow Balance of {$1900.00} which includes our XX/XX/2023 payment and escrow amount of {$220.00}. We maintain the ACTUAL Escrow balance as of XX/XX/2023 should be as follows : XX/XX/2023 - Actual Escrow balance of {$690.00} XX/XX/2023 payment into Escrow of {$220.00} + {$690.00} = {$910.00}. We questioned Truist in our XX/XX/2023 letter where the escrow amount of {$990.00} listed on the XX/XX/2023 statement came from as this amount does not appear in the Truist XXXX XXXX letter they sent to the closing agent. We questioned Truist in our XX/XX/2023 letter where the {$58.00} interest shown on the XX/XX/2023 statement came from when the amount shown and paid by us on the XXXX XXXX XXXX letter listed interest due as {$230.00}. We further questioned Truist why the {$230.00} interest in their XXXX XXXX letter was NOT listed on the XX/XX/2023 final statement since is was part of the amont we paid to Truist via the closing agent. We questioned Truist regarding the ACTUAL date the XXXX of XXXX check was ACTUALLY mailed as it was not received by XXXX until XX/XX/2023. Conveniently there is no date stamp on the envelope but by virtue of the check being dated timely, Truist has met the time frame requirement to effectuate a refund on the escrow balance. Lastly we questioned why Truist did not include ANY explanation or statement with the Escrow Payment check for any of these amounts, financial items. Our QWR letter was mailed on XX/XX/2023 from XXXX XXXX Pennsylvania XXXX XXXX XXXX to the Truist Bank XXXX address listed in the Truist correspondence we received from Truist and as of today, Saturday XX/XX/2023 we have not received an acknowledgement of receipt nor a response.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I received notification from Truist that they no longer accepted my homeowners insurance company due to a third party 's rating of that company. They forced me to find new insurance. This insurance company has insured my home since I purchased it in XXXX. Truist bought my loan and accepted my insurance company when they became my mortgage company. I had no choice in his decision. I called Truist to complain and a telephone operator told me I should be thankful I don't live in Florida because homeowner 's can't get insurance there. It had nothing to do with my situation, however it is very difficult to get insurance in California. My options were very limited. I requested Truist sell my loan to another company who would accept my insurance company and they refused. They told me I would have to re-finance the loan, at three times the interest rate I currently have, and it was possible that Truist would again become my mortgage company. Truist has XXXX financial interest in my house. I have a XXXX interest. Somehow they are telling me to find a new insurance company and I have no say in the matter. This is a bully tactic. I didn't choose to do business with Truist. They chose to do business with me and my insurance company, only to suddenly have a change of heart. It's pure deception on their part.

Consumer Complaint: On Sunday XX/XX/XXXX I went to a restaurant where the waitress accidentally charged me {$320.00} instead of {$32.00}. She immediately fixed the charge so it off of their invoices. I confirmed with the owner of XXXX that they would not be collecting the erroneous funds ; he even offered to have his credit card company confirm it as well. The owner of the restaurant can be reached at XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX the funds have not been released from our bank Truist. In the previous days I have -asked to have the pending charge to be reversed. They could not. -asked for a credit in mean time to cover overdraft as they have done this for me when I double paid a bill in the past. They would not. -in the investigation Ive discovered that once I balanced my checking account by hand there was a missing {$160.00} and no holds or pending charges to explain where it was. I assumed I was wrong but the following business day the missing {$160.00} came back into my addling confirming mismanagement of my funds by the institution. My bank has made no comment on this either. I have spoken to Branch Manager XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX texas where I was treated very poorly. At the time my account was overdrawn and he was obtuse, arrogant and in his own words told me he would not help me when I requested a credit as a final compromise. The credit to fund gas so that my husband could go to work this week. I reached out to his boss XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX : XXXX where his only communication to me was that he was passing me off to XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. XXXX advised she would speak to me the following day and I never once heard back from her. Ive never heard from XXXX XXXX. Ive still not gotten any help. Ive been ignored and gaslit. This pending charge is well over 96 hours old, Ive called countless times and emailed countless times.
