Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: The collection agency is Transworld. When they first contacted me in XX/XX/2022, I had requested validation of debt since I had not received any notices from them prior to that call. I had spoken with XXXX XXXX at Transworld on XXXX and I had advised her that I had not yet received validation of debt despite the fact that I had requested it when Transworld first spoke with me. She told me that she would send it. I received another call from Transworld after I had spoken with XXXX XXXX. XXXX is the representative that I spoke with on XX/XX/2022. I advised her that they keep calling me but that I had requested again the validation of debt on XX/XX/2022. She stated that they had sent validation of debt after they first spoke with me. I told her that I had never received it which is why I wound up calling them on XX/XX/2022 and requesting it again. I asked her to confirm information as to what address they mailed it to. She stated that on XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022 they sent the information to a different address. I asked why was notice sent to a different address than the one that I had supplied to them during our first call. She said that on XX/XX/2022 it was then mailed to the correct address which I told her that the one they mailed on XX/XX/2022 is the one that I had requested during my XX/XX/2022 call with XXXX XXXX. I asked XXXX to connect me with a supervisor as they wound up reporting this to the credit bureau on XX/XX/2022 which is before I had even received any validation of debt. She wound up connecting me with XXXX XXXX XXXX on that day. I gave him a rundown on my conversations with Transworld and I also told him that the account should not have been reported to the credit bureaus before any validation of debt was received and, in this case, they were sending to the wrong address. I told him that XXXX told me that a couple of the notices were sent to a different address. I told him that because I was attempting to get validation of debt and despite the fact that they had mailed to the wrong address in the beginning, I requested that they remove the account from the bureaus pending investigation. I had asked him to review all of the calls between them and myself, as I the calls are recorded. He said they could have the bureaus add a dispute status. I insisted no, they should remove the reporting pending outcome of their investigation since this was reported one day after XXXX XXXX had mailed the information. I was waiting for the validation of debt. He was supposed to review since in this case, it was not my fault at all that the notices were not received until after. He told me that once he completed reviewing, he would reach out to me. He never did so I wound up calling him again on XX/XX/2022 and I gave him a rundown of the activity on this account once again to refresh his memory. I again mentioned that the account should be removed pending their investigation. During that call, he did mention that this type of circumstance would warrant a removal due to the situation, but he was going over something and not saying it to me directly. He was supposed to review and call me back. I wind up calling him again on XX/XX/2022 and I left a message on his voicemail. To date, this account remains on my credit report as he did not follow through. I need this removed from my credit file so that I can move forward to resolve this issue. Had he pulled the call records and actually reviewed, he would have discovered that the information that I had been supplying is correct on my end. My credit score went down significantly due to their error. They sent me a letter dated XX/XX/2022 stating that they have already investigated and responded to a dispute on XX/XX/2022 and stated that they would continue to report to the credit bureau. They never resolved this issue with me, nor had I received any notification from XX/XX/2022. Please refer to phone calls made.

Consumer Complaint: Received two collection notices from TSI ( https : //tsico.com/ ) on behalf of XXXX for one of my companies. Called them to see what they are referring to since we're usually pretty current on our shipping bills. Was told it was for two shipments back in XXXX or so. Said I'd have to verify with XXXX to confirm they were unpaid. Had a pleasant conversation with someone there who, when I asked, advised me that yes, I can still pay them directly thru XXXX ( and therefore save the agency 's 14 % fee ). Went to the XXXX site, called them, paid the bills in full. TSI has been calling me about the so-called 'late charge '. The thing is the XXXX doesn't have a late charge. When I called they confirmed the bills were satisfied in full. TSI continues to call me and say they want their money. My response is always civil ; I speak with them and explain they're not entitled to a debt processing fee since they didn't process any payment. I've told them several times I am not ever going to pay. They continue to call and are belligerent when I respond that way. BTW 14 %!? Really? How is that legal? How can that be a fair percentage for sending a biull and processing? It's not as if they own the debt ; XXXX still was the debt carrier. I'm guessing this is happening to hundreds of individuals and firms as XXXX is a large company. I have even reached out to them to make note that perhaps TSI isn't the best collection arm to align themselves with.

Consumer Complaint: Account name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account number XXXX I obtained a XXXXdollar Perkins loan in XXXX. UAS connect claims that this loan became delinquent in XXXX because they do not have documentation on this loan prior to XXXX. However, I was a full-time student from XXXX and XXXX so it is not possible that the loan became delinquent in XXXX. This loan became delinquent in XXXX prior to re-starting school and therefore should have fallen off my credit score report. I believe that UAS Connect either lost my loan information prior to XXXX or are incorrectly reporting my loan history since I legally changed the spelling of my name in XXXX. This XXXX dollar Perkins loan that I obtained 13 years ago is unjustly hurting my credit and my current financial opportunities. I have attached proof of my full-time student status in XXXX, which disputes the proposed date of delinquency. I have discussed the above with UAS connect multiple times and they have failed to produce any loan documentation prior to XXXX. I believe they have mishandled case. I have made multiple disputes with XXXX and they have failed to give detailed information as to why they are dismissing my dispute.

Consumer Complaint: I received and email from XXXX on XX/XX/23 # : XXXX stating I owed {$27.00} to XXXX. XXXX XXXX OF XXXX, XXXX XXXX 's Account # : XXXX. First that is not my information. I have never been to XXXX. I call on XX/XX/23 at approximately XXXX XXXX and tried to explain that was not me and they put me on hold, I had to ask if they were still there and they stated they were waiting for a supervisor. Asked my name and birthday. I stated that is not my middle name and put me on hold again. I asked if they were there again and got, I am waiting on the supervisor to see what to do next. They used my email since the name appears the same and sent me the collection without verifying whether it belongs to me. I explained to them it does not, and asked for an email verifying it was removed since I had to go and the call cut off.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX of XXXX, I closed my account with the internet provider, XXXX. I closed my account with XXXX, because I wasnt receiving the service I was paying for, and their customer service was unhelpful in resolving my service discrepancy. As a result, I paid the balance owed on the account, which was in the amount of {$65.00}, with a convenience fee of {$3.00}. After I paid my balance, I closed the account, and immediately changed service providers. Some time after, XXXX attempted to collect an erroneous debt I didnt owe, and reported the debt to the credit bureau XXXX XXXX XXXX I disputed the debt, and XXXX determined that I didnt owe anything, and removed the debt from my credit report. Now, this year ( XXXX ), it appears Transworld Systems ( a debt collector ) is attempting to collect on an erroneous debt they claim is on behalf of XXXX, in the amount of {$540.00}. Theyve recently reports to the credit bureaus XXXX XXXX XXXX. Ive disputed both, but both XXXX XXXX XXXX are reporting that Transworld Systems is reporting accurate information. Ive requested evidence & an itemized breakdown of this accurate information, but neither XXXX, nor XXXX have been forthcoming with it. Instead theyve referred me to contact Transworld Systems, the debt collector. Ive attempted to contact Transworld Systems, but theyve been completely unhelpful in resolving the matter, and have been less than forthcoming with any evidence Ive requested, including failing to provide an itemized breakdown of the erroneous debt they claim I owe. They didnt even get my name correct. At this point I dont know how to resolve this matter, as none of the parties involved seem interested in helping. Whatever is being reported by Transworld Systems is false, and inconsistent with my credit history, and inconsistent with my experience with XXXX ( the internet service provider that Transworld Systems is apparently attempting to collect a debt on behalf of ), and is completely inaccurate. I am requesting that this erroneous debt be removed from my credit report history, and that Transworld Systems cease and desist their attempts to collect on this erroneous debt. Upon further research, Transworld Systems appears to be a scam, which is being reported by numerous consumers who are having a similar experience, that Transworld Systems is attempting to collect on a debt not owed. A simple XXXX search will reveal other consumer reviews of Transworld Systems, as well as the over XXXX reviews reported at consumer affairs hXXXX XXXX XXXX # reviews

Consumer Complaint: Dear Transworld, I am writing to formally notify you that your attempts to collect a debt from me are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). The account in question is beyond the statute of limitations, does not belong to me, and furthermore, there are discrepancies with the account information that you have provided. In addition, the last name associated with the account, XXXX, is incorrect. My last name is actually XXXX. Upon reviewing my credit report, I noticed that the account in question was allegedly opened on XX/XX/XXXX. However, the documentation that you have provided to me shows that the account statement dates back to XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. This discrepancy constitutes a clear violation of the FCRA. As you are no doubt aware, the FCRA requires that all information on a credit report be accurate and up-to-date. This includes the date of account opening, the dates of any associated account statements, and the correct name of the debtor. Your continued attempts to collect this debt and the associated inaccurate information constitute a clear violation of these laws. I hereby request that you immediately cease all attempts to collect this debt and remove it from my account. Failure to do so may result in legal action to protect my rights under the FDCPA and FCRA. I urge you to take this matter seriously and act accordingly to avoid any unnecessary legal troubles. Please provide written confirmation that you have received this letter and that you have taken the appropriate steps to remove the debt, associated inaccurate information, and the incorrect name from my account. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX Codes : Fair Debt Collection Practices Act : 15 USC 1692 et seq. Fair Credit Reporting Act : 15 USC 1681 et seq.
