Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute for incorrect information on my credit report. I received an email from the credit bureau stating that they are assuming the disputes are coming from a 3rd party. They in fact did not come from a 3rd party. l even called them to verify it was me and they still refused to process my disputes. I wasted money on mailing my disputes out. I sent personal information to verify my identity through mail, just for them to not thoroughly investigate.

Consumer Complaint: I lodged a complaint with these Bureaus a month ago, but unfortunately, the inaccurate information on my report still remains. I haven't received any communication from the Bureaus, except for the notification that you sent stating that the company has responded to my complaint. How can I be certain that they have thoroughly checked the inaccuracies on my report? What methods did they employ to validate the accounts? This whole situation is incredibly frustrating! It's been more than 30 days since I filed a complaint with these Bureaus, and yet the disputed accounts have not been updated. If this continues, I will have no choice but to take legal action due to the immense stress this has caused me. Moreover, I am also concerned about the security of my personal data, as it was affected by the XXXX, XXXX, and Transunion data breach.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against TransUnion for its failure to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation into inaccuracies on my credit report, as mandated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). On XX/XX/2024, I submitted a dispute letter to TransUnion via USPS certified mail ( Tracking XXXX XXXXXXXX ), challenging the following items : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX and XXXX Reference # XXXX. Additionally, I disputed incorrect names listed on my credit report. To facilitate the verification of my identity, I included a copy of my photo ID, social security card, and a recent bill. Despite adhering to the FCRA 's dispute process, I received a response from TransUnion on XX/XX/2024, stating, " We recently received a request that included your information, but it didn't appear that you or a properly authorized third party sent it to us. We take the privacy and security of your data very seriously, so we won't process requests unless they come directly from you or an authorized third party. '' This response implies a refusal to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation, a direct violation of my consumer rights under the FCRA. Credit bureaus are obligated to conduct a thorough reinvestigation when the accuracy or completeness of any item in a consumer 's file is disputed. Enclosed, please find copies of my dispute letter, USPS certified mail proof of delivery, and TransUnions response, serving as evidence of my attempt to address inaccuracies on my credit report.
