XXXX XXXX has charged fraudulent late fees and in addition inserted late payments on my consumer report, all payments were made on time, all payments were exact, and all payments were made on their respective due date. CFPB Takes Action Against XXXX XXXX XXXX for Illegally Charging Junk Fees, Withholding Credit Card Rewards, and Opening Fake Accounts. XXXX XXXX XXXX will pay more than {$100.00} XXXX to harmed consumers, and {$150.00} XXXX in penalties to CFPB and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX harmed hundreds of thousands of consumers over a period of several years and across multiple product lines and services. Specifically, XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX a double-dipping scheme to harvest junk fees XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX had a policy of charging customers XXXX after the bank declined a transaction because the customer did not have enough funds in their account. The CFPBs investigation found that XXXX XXXX XXXX double-dipped by allowing fees to be repeatedly charged for the same transaction. Over a period of multiple years, XXXX XXXX XXXX generated substantial additional revenue by illegally charging multiple XXXX fees. My account with XXXX XXXX was never late! This was clearly a billing error, and a double dipping scheme. This account is shameful it has caused severe hardship to my reputation, my character, my mode of living and to my family! Consumer Complaint: I received a copy of my credit report and found the following items to be reported in error I requested the bureaus to do an investigation on the accounts below for accuracy accounts came back verified I do not believe an investigation was done because its no way the accounts would come back verified as accurate due to the large discrepancies and information mismatch highlighted in the attached documents. This is the final request for account deletion my privacy has been violated this is direct violation of my consumer rights as outline by the FCRA I will be requesting {$1000.00} in damages due to failure of investigation please re-investigate and remove these accounts!! I found improper inaccuracies on the reports even after they did the thorough verification. By the provision of the fair credit reporting act I demand these items be investigated and removed from my credit report it is my understanding that you will reverify these accounts with the creditor that posted them. Since Im a stickler for research, I found that under section 605b of the FCRA, you are required by law to remove & block any items which is found to be fraud due to identity theft.
