Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: I am listing accounts below that have been reported inaccurately on my credit report. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and as a gesture of respect to the Federal Trade Commission Committee on accuracy and completeness of credit information I am formally writing in today to dispute negative information appearing on my credit. This incorrect information is greatly hindering me from getting the credit score I deserve and hopefully, this letter will resolve all the issues on my credit. I demand to see Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) of the accounts listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit.

Consumer Complaint: I have already sent a letter addressing the inaccuracies and unknown items on my credit report, but unfortunately, I have not received any response even after 30 days. It feels like I'm being taken advantage of and my disputes are being ignored. According to Section 611 ( a ), if these items are not investigated within 30 days, they should be promptly removed from my credit report. Since it has been over 30 days, I expect these accounts to be updated immediately. If not, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action due to the stress this situation has caused me. Additionally, my information was also affected by the XXXX, XXXX, and Transunion data breach, which raises concerns about the security of my personal data.

I have a right to be treated fairly by those who control it, so please provide me all available details on how they came up short in their responsibilities towards accuracy and compliance. I am officially challenging you to review your data on file for me! With the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) section 611 ( 15 U S C 1681I ) and Metro 2 compliance standards, I challenge all inaccuracies or deficiencies of reporting. It is not complete and does not meet applicable standards because according to law you are required for both FCRAs as well as Metro 2 compliance which must be done truthfully with information being provided timely so that none of my rights are violated I am aware that you have been sending out form letters in response to many of the disputes and challenges that consumers have submitted, regardless of the specific information that they have provided. Consumer Complaint: I am concerned about the validity and accuracy of your recent investigation of these accounts that are reporting on my credit report. Last month I requested an investigation because I felt the item was not being reported legally. Couple of days ago I received a letter stating that you have ceased investigation of my credit reports because, in your opinion, you believe that I have used a third-party credit repair agency. Not only do I believe this to be a stall tactic on your part to grant you an additional 30 days to comply with my original request, but I believe it to be a blatant violation of the FCRA. I have attached a copy of my government issued ID as well as mail showing proof of address. So, there shouldnt be no confusion or stall tactics on your end. I have maintained a careful record of my communications with you for the purpose of filing a complaint with the FTC should you continue in your non-compliance. I request this under 15 U.S. Code 1692g - Validation of debts. If information is not provided or the false reporting isnt removed ; as in Wenger v. Trans Union Corp., No. 95-6445 ( C.D.Cal. Nov. 14,1995 ), you may be liable for your willful noncompliance. Credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only 100 % accurate credit information. Every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct. The following information therefore needs to be reinvestigated. Enclosed with your response to the above questions I respectfully request a notarized affidavit confirming the information that is provided is true and correct as per my civil rights granted under several federal laws. This information should not come as a form letter response.
