Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: I have already sent a letter addressing the inaccuracies and unknown items on my credit report, but unfortunately, I have not received any response even after 30 days. It feels like I'm being taken advantage of and my disputes are being ignored. According to Section 611 ( a ), if these items are not investigated within 30 days, they should be promptly removed from my credit report. Since it has been over 30 days, I expect these accounts to be updated immediately. If not, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action due to the stress this situation has caused me. Additionally, my information was also affected by the XXXX, XXXX, and Transunion data breach, which raises concerns about the security of my personal data.

Consumer Complaint: am writing to file a formal complaint against Transunion, XXXX and XXXX regarding their unauthorized sharing of my nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties and consumer reporting agencies. I have taken appropriate steps to exercise my rights under 15 USC 6802 of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( GLBA ) to opt out of such information sharing, and I believe my privacy rights have been violated. On [ XX/XX/2024 ], I notified [ XXXX XXXX ] that I am opting out of any and all authorizations, whether written, unwritten, verbal, or non-verbal, for the sharing of my nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties, including consumer reporting agencies, for any purpose other than those necessary to provide me with financial products or services. I provided this opt-out notice in accordance with the legal requirements outlined in 15 USC 6802 , and I have retained documentation of my communication with the institution. Despite my explicit opt-out request and my clear assertion of my rights under the GLBA, I have reason to believe that Transunion, XXXX and XXXX has continued to furnish my nonpublic personal information to non-affiliated third parties and consumer reporting agencies without my consent. This unauthorized sharing of my personal information constitutes a serious violation of my privacy rights and a breach of federal law. I am deeply concerned about the potential consequences of this unauthorized sharing, including the potential for identity theft, fraud, or other financial harm. I kindly request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure that Transunion, XXXX and XXXX complies with all federal regulations and laws, including the GLBA, to protect the privacy and information security of consumers like me. Additionally, I would appreciate regular updates on the progress of this investigation and any actions taken to address the violations committed byTransunion, XXXX and XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute for incorrect information on my credit report. I received an email from the credit bureau stating that they are assuming the disputes are coming from a XXXX party. They in fact did not come from a XXXX party. l even called them to verify it was me and they still refused to process my disputes. I wasted money on mailing my disputes out. I sent personal information to verify my identity through mail, just for them to not thoroughly investigate.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against this agency for consistently reporting inaccurate information on my credit report, despite my repeated efforts to dispute and rectify the errors. This blatant disregard for my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) has caused significant financial and emotional distress, and I kindly request your intervention to resolve this matter appropriately. I submitted a dispute regarding multiple inaccuracies on my credit report. According to the FCRA, the agency is obligated to conduct a reasonable investigation into the disputed information within 30 days. However, despite this requirement, they failed to conduct a proper investigation and instead verified the inaccurate information without providing any valid evidence. This violation of my FCRA rights has resulted in ongoing damage to my creditworthiness and has hindered my ability to secure favorable lending terms.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024, I mailed a dispute letter to TransUnion disputing the completeness and accuracy of accounts on my credit report. I recently received a response from TransUnion that was issued by them on XX/XX/2024 that they received my dispute but they would not process it because they are assuming it is from a 3rd party. I'm not sure why they think that as I am trying to fix my own credit and these inaccuracies are harming my ability to obtain credit. I am demanding that TransUnion do its job and conduct a proper investigation on the accounts I am trying to dispute. I have attached the letters along with my Driver 's license and proof of address. Thank you!
