Consumer Complaint: I completed a balance transfer with TD on XX/XX/2023, having 0 % interest for 18 months with a 3 % transfer fee. Here comes the XXXX statement and TD demands their 3 % balance transfer fee as the next payment, with the threat to avoid interest charges. The entire offer was to not have interest charges for 18 months. No where in the online balance transfer agreement does it disclose this. I was actually shocked at their level of no notices or paperwork other than the agreement offer stated above. I figured it was because we have a checking account with more than enough to cover most anything. But no, they failed to disclose this activity and that is illegal. The below listed individuals did nothing to resolve the issue other than noting every word I said to them into my account. No resolution was provided by either TD employee. Consumer Complaint: The presence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me great concern. I am deeply worried about the impact it may have on my credit. It has already led to the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I returned items to the merchant XXXX XXXX who issued a refund to my card number ending in XXXX. However in that time TD bank detected fraud and my card was canceled and was reissued a new one. The merchant and the bank told me that the money would be redirected to the new card because the account was still open. On XX/XX/XXXX the merchant issued the refund but it got declined because the card was cancelled and the money was unable to reroute. I called TD bank onXXXX to talk to them about what happened and they stated that they would put a claim in to rectify the situation and money should be in my account within 7-10 business days. I still did not receive my money and went to the TD branch on XXXX XXXX in XXXX PA on XX/XX/XXXX which they also put in a claim to rectify the situation and the money should be in my account within 7-10 business days. I still have not received my money and called this morning ( XX/XX/XXXX ) to talk to TD who stated they sent me a letter stating they needed the proof that the merchant tried to refund the money. I did not receive this letter and my address hasnt changed. I found the proof and will be faxing it to the back office of TD today ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I keep getting told that I will receive my money within 7-10 business days and it has been almost 2 months since my account was credited I am fed up with this and just want my refund.

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX citizen who is in danger of being foreclosed upon by TD Bank through an illegal high-cost second mortgage which contains an 18 % interest rate provision. I need immediate help to save my home. On XX/XX/XXXX, TD Bank gave me a second mortgage ( HELOC ) which contained a ceiling rate of 18 %. The rate I was given was an introductory rate of 3.25 %. It was not explained to me that my interest rate could rise to 18 % and promissory note did not state the date upon which it would reach 18 %. At the time that I signed it I was under the duress of a family emergency at the time that I signed the papers. On XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered that my payment had more than doubled in size from {$520.00} to {$1200.00} with the interest rate going from 3.25 % to 7.5 %. TD Bank informed me that my payment would be tripling in the months to come. I am a XXXXXXXX XXXX living on a fixed income! My budget can not withstand these illegal increases to 18 %. I need TD Bank to bring my loan back down to 3.25 % in a fixed rate loan. If I lose my house I will become homeless. Please help me.
