Consumer Complaint: Seems things started in XXXX when I made a payment the very next day they charged me an interest payment which if I read the credit card act of XXXX correctly, they are not allowed to double bill. This is been continuing ever since I tried to make my payments on time and within a day or two I would get hit with another charge an interest payment which now my bill has late fees, overdraft fees because Im over my limit so I get a fee for that they have literally made it impossible for me to continue to make my payments. TD Bank has gotten away with a lot of things in the past Ive had complaints against TD Bank in the past with the bureau, this should not be allowed to continue and should be addressed. Meanwhile, my XXXX XXXX my credit score has suffered. My credit rating is in the toilet. I got sick and could not make my payments. I asked them for help. They basically told me theres nothing they can do TD Bank is the absolute most crooked credit card company Ive ever come across, I was literally XXXX in XXXX XXXX, begging them for help back around XXXX and they could care less no deals no plan no help no nothing from them

Consumer Complaint: While I was out of state someone used my credit card and went on a shopping spree spending XXXX dollars in a day. Contacted TD bank and they denied my claim by saying it was my regular spending limit when my card has a limit of XXXX in total. I asked for an appeal and they didnt even take a week a day later they denied my claim again saying the card was used before in a legitimate purchase a while ago. I explained I shopped there before but I wasnt the one using it. They told me there was nothing else they can do.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I have been an account holder with TD Bank/Target card services for over 1 year. They offer a service to pay your bill over the phone. I utilized the phone payment service in XXXX, and noticed that the payment had not been deducted within 1-2 business days, which was weird. I called them immediately and confirmed that my account and routing number was correct. A few more days I noticed the payment had not been deducted. I was told it would be deducted that Friday. However, the next day I received a notice from them regarding a returned payment that NEVER hit my bank account. I was sent to collections. I was told that I had to pay the entire amount before I anyone would discuss the oversight. I made the payment and have been calling several times. I was told that my account would be reaged and the late payment would be removed. To date, Target card services has done the contrary. Every time, I call theres a different excuse as to why they havent made the correction.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Target Card Services called me an said " this is an attempt to collect a debt '' I said " first off I did make a payment on the XXXX of XXXX, it was not the minimum amount due but I paid {$200.00} ''. I then told the representative that " Without Fail '' I would pay the {$320.00} due on XX/XX/XXXX as that was my payday and I would pay online. She said she'd make a note on my file. I paid {$320.00} via online on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I was checking my account and noticed I was short money. I noticed Target Card Services had taken another {$320.00} out of my account on the XXXX of XXXX via a check they generated without my permission. I also received a letter on the XXXX from Target Card Services thanking me for my phone payment on the XXXX of XXXX. I never called them on the XXXX, they had no right to take a payment out again, especially via a generated check created by them or TD Bank. I called Target Card Services right away to rectify the situation. The representative I spoke to did see the 2 payments and said they would put in an investigation to the double payment and get back to me. He said it could take up to 60 days, most likely not but it could. I then called XXXX my Credit Union and explained to them what happened. I was switched over to the Fraud department and put in a claim. The representative did say she had never seen a check generated like the one Target put in for the payment before. I signed e-documents and the Credit Union put in a fraud complaint to Target. My Credit Union put the money back into my account on the XXXX of XXXX and said I did not have to do anything else, that XXXX would handle everything with XXXX. I received an email from Target Card Services on the XXXX saying they returned my E-payment. As I checked my Target Account they charged me a {$30.00} return fee and {$1.00} interest charge. I called Target Card Services on the XXXX and spoke to XXXX the supervisor of Card Services and he took those fees off my account. This whole issue had me stressed because I didn't know how long it would take to resolve and I had bills to pay with the extra money they took out of my account. I also think this is considered check fraud. I never gave any kind of permission for anyone to create their own check against my account to pay a bill that needed to be paid or in my case was already paid.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: When I first took out a loan to purchase my car I was told I would receive a letter in the mail from TD Auto Finance with information on how to pay my first bill. A month passed and this bill did not come. I attempted to contact TD Auto Finance and was told I needed to wait to receive a bill in the mail. Another month passed and I still had not received anything. I called TD Auto Finance again and was told a bill would come in the mail. After some back and fourth, I found out I could in fact pay over the phone. I gave my card information on the phone and was told I could also set up auto-pay on the phone which I believed I had done. It was my understanding auto pay was set up, but months later I found out I had multiple missed payments. I was still not made aware of these payments through the mail. While TD Auto was not auto-charging my car payment, they were auto-charging me missed payment fees every month, so they did in fact have my card on file. When I found out I immediately paid all missed payments and set up autopay. I sent them a letter asking them to remove the derogatory marks from my credit score as their process of making payments was confusing and unclear, and because I already paid the late fee and have consistently on-time payments since discovering they were not charging me, but was denied.
