Purchased phone and accessories for the total amount of {$890.00} which was financed on this account ( XXXX ) Early XX/XX/2019 - Received first billing statement XX/XX/2019 - Paid account in full & requested account be closed. XX/XX/2019 - Received letter from TD customer service confirming that account was closed and that the current balance was {$0.00}. Received subsequent statements showing an outstanding balance with due date. Unsuccessfully attempted to resolve this matter with TD Bank customer service. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX has repeatedly called me for the past 2 months ( XX/XX/2022 to date ) every Friday trying to collect on a credit card debt from several yrs ago. When I did talk to them they required me to tell them my mailing address, last 4 of my social or the full account # on the card. I informed them that I did not feel comfortable telling them my address but I did give them the last 4 of my social. The gentleman indicated that was not enough and required the full address. I again stated I was not comfortable with that. He stated that he couldn't go any further with my call. I stated I was sorry to hear this but again I wasn't comfortable provided that information on with the call. I also explained to him that I had lost my job 2 weeks ago and that even if we could proceed with the call, I had no money to give them for the debt. He stated that they wanted to work with me but again needed my address. I stated I got his letter in the mail so with that verification, could he move forward with just the last 4 of my social and that? He stated he could not. I ended the call with apologizing to him and hung up.

Consumer Complaint: I was offered a job opportunity from my school email. The scammer claimed to be a Doctor at the clinic in the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, they called themselves XXXX XXXX XXXX. They used a staffs email to send the information for the job. ( XXXX ). I checked XXXX for XXXX XXXX and was fooled into believing it was legit and texted the number they provided, they asked for my name, mailing address and resume. Then I received an email from XXXX containing a link which had taken me to a website XXXX XXXX XXXX to complete my job application. I then was asked to check online for office supplies to start working from home and so I did. I was told that everything will be paid for and students must not use their personal devices. I was to report the price online for a computer, printer and self inking stamp. I was then told that these supplies will be funded by the " professor '' and sent to me, but I will be given a check first of {$1600.00} to pay for supplies. This check was Emailed to me from the email above. The scammer/ '' Professor '' told to print the check and scan it via my mobile bank app, which I did. Once the check was successfully scanned I was told by the scammer that the funds will be processed by the next day. Since I believed I had the funds, I thought everything was okay when the " Professor '' /scammer told me to pay the supplier who will be delivering the equipment tomorrow. So they gave me the XXXX information for the supplier ( Tynesia Graves, XXXX ) which didn't work at first so a second account was given ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) it worked and I payed them XXXX, XXXX, XXXX respectively since a Total of XXXX dollars could not be spent at one go via XXXX. I was told that I will be receiving the supplies the next day which didn't happen and my bank told me the check was fake 2 days later. I reported to my TD bank and they set up a dispute which failed after 10 days, I reported to my local police but the investigation hasn't gone anywhere. I was scammed thinking I was receiving a job from a staff at my University. ( I placed the 2 XXXX account of the scammer in files below )

I have made several attempts to close my credit card. There are excessive hold times. On my 4th attempt, I got through to a representative and provided all details to close my credit card ending XXXX and expiration XX/XX/XXXX. The representative provided the required disclosure information verbally and advised she was closing the account. The call was placed on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, the account is still open with an available balance of {$10000.00}. It was supposed to be closed immediately. I am requesting CFPB send notification to TD Bank requesting account closure.

I am writing in response to a notification on my credit report. The file reported are inaccurate and erroneous and are leading to negative impact on my credit file. I have reached out to the company and let them know it is fraudulent. I am waiting to hear back from them on whether or not they are declaring it fraudulent. I even have a police report. Consumer Complaint: I received an email from XXXX informing me that there was a recent change to your information so I reviewed it and noticed that Nordstrom was on there and I never applied for no credit card. I immediately called them and they validated that it was me and that all my information was used based on what would be on my drivers license the lady said and they knew my whole SSN. I informed her to mark it as fraud and she did according. The lady informed me to call Social Security but they said there is nothing they can do for me and to call the credit bureaus. I called them and since I have an active fraud alert on my account they advise that I freeze my account for every single one which I had done.

PLUS THE CARD IN QUESTION WAS IN MY WALLET THE WHOLE TIME AND THE ONLY TIME I USED IT WAS VALINTINES NIGHT. THEY REMOVED THE CHARGE AND THEN PUT THE CHARGE BACK ON 2 WEEKS LATER STAITING THAT THEY HAD A LOT OF EVIDENCE THAT I WAS THERE. THRU THE TD BANK MANAGER WE REQUESTED TO SEE THE EVIDENCE AND THEY SAID WE WOULD HAVE IT IN 10 DAYS. I HAVE BACK TO THE BANK EVERY 3 WEEKS SINCE AND THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY CONTINUES TO SAY THEY HAVE THE EVIDENCE AND WILL SEND IT IN 10 DAYS. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR6 MONTHS.
