Consumer Complaint: I fell behind on my payments on my Target Store Card. I contacted Target and was told that my account could be " rehabilitated '' via a " program '' that would credit back all late/over the limit fees once the program was complete. I agreed to allow Target to debit payments from my checking account towards this agreement at which point the Customer Service Representative explained that remembering the payments and terms of the new agreement were consumer responsibility. She further stated that late/over the limit fees would continue to accrue until the completion of this program. I made many payments towards this account and noticed neither a decrease in balance nor reversal of accrues fees. I contacted Target Customer Service and spoke to a Representative who had no idea about my account being in any program and in fact stated that the account was now in collections. The representative stated that he was unable to discuss any information on my account and informed me to contact the collection agency. Ultimately, Target representatives claim no knowledge of this program nor any of the terms accompanying same. Target is also unable or unwilling to provide any documentation despite collecting numerous payments towards the completion of this program. It is my belief that this account was charged off outside of the Federal Regulations. The payment history on the account indicates that the account was not charged off until several month after the last noted payment. This is due to the payments I was making under this " program. '' Charged off Accounts are to be charged off after 180 days, yet Target did not charge this account off until several months beyond this 180 day benchmark. To that end, Target continued to accept payments towards this account rehab program and failed to account for same when charging the account off.

I have already contacted them multiple times and I'm getting the run around and I need my money ASAP as well as TD bank is charging me maintenance fees for the money that's supposed to be in my account that they have not put back yet

As I logged into XXXX it notified me that I had a new credit card for Nordstrom. I have never opened up an account with Nordstrom. I do not shop at Nordstrom, ever. I am a victim of identity theft. I have called Nordstrom and filed a complaint as soon as I found out to let them know of the situation XX/XX/22. I have also reached out to XXXX on XX/XX/22 to put a freeze on my account. XXXX advised me to file a report with FTC as a supporting claim.

They said as of XX/XX/2022 there were no charges on the account, however they would cancel the account and refer this to their fraud department. I put a Credit Freeze on my Credit Report through XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and a freeze through XXXX on XX/XX/2022. I also submitted a Police Report through our local county.
