Consumer Complaint: I have a late payment as an authorized user on a XXXX and XXXX card I never opened or authorized to be added to. This was done fraudulently. I reported this to the company and asked this be taken off of my credit. There is a XXXX balance on the card and the company still refuses to help. Consumer Complaint: As an XXXX, I had provided services to XXXX & XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NJ XXXX under a contract we'd signed in XX/XX/2022. While they paid the first two payments, they changed their mind and their project required additional work. As my agreement with them allowed me a range between $ XXXX in cost, I had therefore charged them additional funds ( total of {$11000.00} ). While this is irrelevant to you as a consumer financial protection bureau, the next part is. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX signed a TD personal check to me for the final amount of {$5500.00}. I deposited it in my XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and it was returned by my bank on XX/XX/XXXX with a strange comment : " warranty Breach ''. I went to TD Bank and they could not explain or help. I went to XXXX and they tried to recover more info. I emailed the chairman of TD Bank, who said it's a legal act : In response to your below e-mail, we have confirmed that Customers do have the ability to place stop payments on any check written from their account, provided the check has not already been cashed. The transaction can be stopped up to and including the posting date. At this time, your only recourse would be to pursue legal action against the maker of the check, who placed the stop payment. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to review this matter. Regards, Chairman 's Service Center Office of the President and CEO TD Bank, America 's Most Convenient Bank I spoke to several legal professionals in the banking compliance field and they agreed that it's not legal to stop a legal tender signed not under duress, fraud or loss of check. If the payer had misgivings about their payment or agreement, they should have addressed it with the service provider ( Me ) rather than stop payment on a legal tender. Our economy is based on receiving payment for goods and services, if anybody could stop payment on their legal payment, forcing the receiver to spend time and money on collection of the checks they received in good faith, it'd crate havoc.

Consumer Complaint: On Monday XX/XX/2023 I deposited my work check {$330.00} at the TD bank on XXXX XXXX in XXXX. The money went through and was in my account on Tuesday. It was there when I went to bed. I paid a {$110.00} XXXX credit bill and a {$63.00} XXXX credit card bill. I also withdrew XXXX $ to have cash and sent a friend XXXX $ for food along with a {$12.00} XXXX ride as I the money was in the account. The check was cleared. It was my money. There still shouldve been over {$110.00} on top of my tax refund from XXXX XXXX XXXX block of {$150.00} I checked my phone bank and instead I was at a - {$130.00} or XXXX before they credited me 15 as the negative charge was not my fault. I called the back asking about a negative charge for the amount of the check they claimed did not go through the federal reserve. I asked why they cleared the money to my account then and let me spend. The said theyd clear in good faith. That makes no sense. Sounds like its between the employee bank XXXX and them. However, I contacted my employer and she sent a screenshot of bank statement and contacted her bank saying it went through. Her name is XXXX XXXX and the company is XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX PA XXXX. The bank took my refund and my money and still says I owe more. They are sending a non fed check. Between the employer and both banks I cant say who needed it but all I did was delay y check, wait till it cleared to pay some bills have dinner with a friend and his son and now no one wants to be responsible for the money I worked for. I now have negative money untill I start and get paid.

Consumer Complaint: I am seeking restitution of overcharges billed to my Nordstrom Visa account during a recent trip to XXXX. I was charged {$2600.00} for coffee, spices, a tshirt and two scarves purchased at a souq marketplace. I should have been charged around {$260.00}, or ten-percent of what was billed. I have reached out to the tour guide who took me to this merchant. I have also exchanged text messages with the merchant. Nordstrom Visa ( run by TD Bank ) has abandoned this claim because they have only the merchants receipt. The bank is not interested in talking with the merchant or the tour guide who was involved in the transaction.
