Consumer Complaint: I had a credit card with TD Bank. I closed the account in XXXX, XXXX. I kept receiving statements and then a new card in XXXX, XXXX. Each time I called and was told the account was closed. In XXXX, XXXX I received a statement with a balance due. I was unable to call the bank due to their non-functioning callback system, so I went to my local branch. Again, I was told the account was closed. HOWEVER, they insisted that their original terms of service stated that they would keep accepting charges to the account EVEN when it was 'closed ', and there was nothing I could do to stop them. I asked how long they expected to continue accepting charges, and they said 'forever '.

TD dispute department used same reason to delay my claim. The department cant be reach by telephone or websites. I will be attached all the evidence of my wifes wallet was lost. The all my credit cards and bank card was in side. XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX credit car was charged at same place of TD bank card charged. I got my money back from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, but TD still claims the charges were my wife.

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to get a new card to use as the billing address changed. The company notified me that they wouldn't issue a new card because they closed my account. However, there has been XXXX notice that the account was canceled. They stated that they canceled the account due to returned checks, however, this was an accounting error on their end by an account I never added to the profile. So I personally never sent a bad check. I also paid off the account so there should be no reason to cancel. I also don't have a poor payment history with the company. At this point, I do not wish to continue business with their credit agency, however, I do want to make it known that this company canceled my account with no notice to me over an error on their part. I hope future consumers are protected from this type of behavior.

Consumer Complaint: this is a complaint about Target redcard, which is a credit card. I have close to {$400.00} balance on my card which I called the customer service trying to get a refund check. I made the request in the last week of XX/XX/2023, they claimed they sent the check, but after a month, I received nothing. And then they said they will reissue me a check, and then I called again following up on the issue on XX/XX/XXXX, and they promised they sent the check that day. But almost another 20 days passed, still received nothing. I kept calling the customer service, trying to ask what's going on with my check, I was told there is no tracking number or check number they can locate to prove they sent the check. But then offered to resend the check for the 3rd time on XX/XX/XXXX. I am beyond frustration, they even asked me to check with USPS blaming them to lose the check. I seriously doubt they have sent me any check at this point, and their customer service contact has no way to escalate this issue beyond the agents I talked to. Please investigate, and help get my money back. thanks!

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, TD Bank advertised a credit card with the following Cash Back conditions : " You earn three ( 3 ) Points for each one-dollar ( {$1.00} ) of Dining Purchases ; two ( 2 ) Points for each one dollar ( {$1.00} ) of Grocery Store Purchases, and one ( 1 ) Point for each one dollar ( {$1.00} ) of other Purchases. You will earn a total of five ( 5 ) points for Gas Purchases made within 6 months of account open date, or until you reach {$6000.00} in Gas Purchases, whichever occurs first. As a result of your Gas purchases you will earn one ( 1 ) Point for the purchase and four ( 4 ) Points will be added to total five ( 5 ) Points earned for Gas purchases '' Upon the closure of my first statement I had noticed that my Gas purchases have not earned the advertised 5 points. As the result I have a loss about {$8.00}. I would appreciate that CFPB takes a regulatory action against TD Bank for practicing false advertisements. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/23 I received XXXX earbud in the mail. I did not order them. I was confused, and called XXXX. I told a XXXX agent that I was concerned that this could be related to fraud. The agent essentially dismissed my concerns, suggest a friend might have sent the ear buds as a gift, and that everything would be resolved. She told me " just to keep the headphones ''. I still have them, and have never used them. Shortly after, another statement arrived in the mail. The charge for the headphones, and other items, were on the bill. The charges totaled almost {$3000.00} dollars. Since XXXX. The charges were placed on a XXXX XXXX account issued through TD Bank. I've filled out three appeals via fraud report forms through TD bank, starting in XXXX. I have filled out a police report, and found that two phones were purchased using this card, by someone other than me. These two phones were picked up, back in XXXX, at two different XXXX XXXX locations ( XXXX, NJ and XXXX, NJ ). I have never been to either of these XXXX XXXX Despite spending hours on the phone with XXXX and TD Bank Card Services, filling out three separate fraud report forms for TD Bank, I was denied, and the case has been closed, according to TD Bank. I am now on the hook for over XXXX dollars worth of charges that I never made.

Consumer Complaint: In accordance with the fair credit reporting act, this creditor has violated my rights under 15 USC 1681 section 602 states I have the right to privacy. 15 USC 1681 Section 604 A, section 2 it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. under 15 USCS 1666B, a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. I have sent several certified letters to these companies, TD Auto Finance # XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. The response I have received from all companies is that they do not have to follow the laws I mentioned in paragraph 1. I will also attach the letters and responses I received from them. I have waited more than 60 days for them to correct this issue, You have 10 days to comply with the law or my lawyer will contact you to sue for negligence.
