Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: I made a payment on XX/XX/23, the payment is still on hold. When I called TD card services they said that they will have it on hold until they can verify the funds. I made the payment through their website. The payment came out of my account on XX/XX/23. My bank states they got the full amount of the payment that day. I spoke with a supervisor ( XXXX ) and a Manager XXXX. They would not give me any other identifiable information, no employee number. XXXX said I would only have her name and the date and time of my call. They both told me that if I had used a TD bank account for the payment they would release the hold immediately, but since I dont they would not. This is also the same account that I have on file for all my payments I make to them. I had enough to make a larger payment so I did. Now I dont have my money nor do I have use of my credit card since they placed a hold on the account.

Consumer Complaint: I was informed that opening a TD checking account and redeeming my points into it would result in double the value. According to a representative, when I claimed my points, I was supposed to receive {$960.00}. However, upon redeeming my points, I only received {$460.00}. I contacted the bank to address this discrepancy, and they acknowledged a system issue and assured me that it would be automatically resolved. Despite multiple calls and several days having passed since I redeemed the points and reported the issue, it remains unresolved. This problem initially arose on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I bought services through a company called XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX processed the payment in the amount of {$6000.00} on XXXX XXXX. I paid for services that the company did not provide. They had about a week in order to provide the services that they promised. When they did not, I filed an ACH dispute with my bank, TDBANK about the fraud that was committed. TDBANK denied my complaint for fraud. They said if I did file a dispute within 24 hours there was nothing that they could do. That is unacceptable. First, I wouldnt know within 24 hours if I was going to get the services that were provided or not. Second, under the electronic funds transfer act, I have XXXX to file a complaint and I did so within that time. TDBANK refused to acknowledge my rights as a consumer and this i have lost {$6000.00}. I also contacted XXXX They said they could try to get some of the money back but were unsure if they could recover anything. They said my bank is the one the would usually process this and recover the funds

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to pay my rent through the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX portal. The transaction was not approved due to a mismatch between the ZIP code on record and my address. When I went into the branch they at first verified all was good ( I had been receiving paper statements to my address for some time ), then upon further research saw that an old address had somehow been populated in another part of the system. My card had always worked on similar transactions, so this must have occurred recently. The branch made the correction, I tried the transaction again and it worked. Unfortunately, I was charged a {$150.00} late fee. I called the XXXX Customer Service number and was told the bank could ( would ) not refund the fee. I am registering this complaint in the hopes of being reimbursed the fee.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the actions of TD BANK regarding my Trust instrument. According to TD BANK, they have lost my original Trust instrument, which is a document of utmost importance to me and my family. This is completely unacceptable and I intend to take legal action against TD BANK for their negligence. As a result of TD BANK 's carelessness, adverse action has been brought upon all three of my accounts, and I have been denied access to the Treasury by delaying the opening of a Trust account even though all necessary documents have been recorded. This is not only frustrating but also impacting my financial well-being. I demand that TD BANK rectify this situation immediately. It is important to note that the IRS, all government branches of Florida, and the Federal Reserve Bank XXXX XXXX and XXXX hold copies of the private Trust instrument. This is proof that the Trust instrument exists and that TD BANK 's claims of losing the original document or not receiving it are false. I would like to remind TD BANK that the Trust instrument is valued at {>= $1,000,000} and any further delays or negligence on their part will not be tolerated. I demand that TD BANK take immediate action to locate the original Trust instrument, deposit it with Treasury to compensate me for the financial loss that I have incurred due to their negligence. I urge the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to take swift action in addressing this matter and ensuring that TD BANK is held accountable for their actions. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX [ : confidential information forward to appropriate agents : ]
