Consumer Complaint: I applied for a XXXX XXXX credit card with Synchrony Financial on XXXX XXXX After many transfers, I was connected with one agent that asked me for ssn, my dob, address, etc. After recording my information he put me on hold for 30 minutes to confirm the information. After 30 minutes, I was disconnected. When reaching out to Synchrony C levels, I expressed my concern that it was odd behavior and potentially took my private data and used it in an illegal manner. XXXX expressed that that was odd behavior and not part of their process and she would look into it. A couple days later I got a notification from XXXX saying that an application was attempted to be opened from XXXX XXXX I sent XXXX and XXXX to the recorded call but they never got back to me. I've repeatedly tried to contact them to get an update on the matter, but nothing. No returned calls. No returned emails. On XX/XX/XXXX, I got a notification from my bank that there was an application sent to open a XXXX credit card.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: I received from Synchrony Bank an email that my payment for an account I have with them for the purchase of a XXXX XXXX bed was not received on XX/XX/2023. The payment had been made through my XXXXXXXX XXXX account for {$200.00} on XX/XX/2023. The same way all of my previous payments were made. They claimed to not have received it. They wanted me to send copies from my bank statement as proof & to talk to XXXXXXXX XXXX I visited XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023 and they confirmed that the payment was made and received by Synchrony Bank. I mailed to Synchrony Bank copies from my XXXXXXXX XXXX Checking account showing the payment was processed on XX/XX/2023, a portion on my XXXX XXXX Statement showing the {$200.00} payment and a copy of all payments going back to XXXXXXXX XXXX being made the same way through XXXXXXXX XXXX along with a letter outlining the issue including the name of the contact person at XXXXXXXX XXXX that I spoke to & their business card. I received no response. Last night I received another email from Synchrony Bank saying they have not received my XXXX payment which I made through XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023 for {$200.00}. When I called them today, I was told they have no record of either payment. They dont know where my {$400.00} went, that they did receive my mailed in information but that it takes 90 days for them to look at 4 pieces of paper & if they cant find what they did with my {$400.00} that I am responsible to send them another {$400.00}. They claim the only way they can track payments is if I make them through their website which is utter nonsense because they have received all of the other payments I made. I believe there is some type of fraudulent activity within their system. Where did my {$400.00} go?

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: You never received your bill or did not know a payment was due
Consumer Complaint: I never filled out an application or spoke with anyone at CareCredit. I still haven't ever talked to them. The application was filled out in my doctor 's office and was handed to me to sign after the procedures had begun. I was never given an advanced warning in writing or verbally about what the total costs of my procedures would be. When I received the first bill it was for the sum of {$13000.00}. I was told I was approved for the loan amount by someone in my doctor 's office. I am struggling to make the minimum monthly payment of {$400.00} as my sole source of income is my monthly social security check. I feel that at the age of XXXX, I was taken advantage of not only by Care Credit but also by my doctor 's employees and the doctor himself. I also feel that the procedures that were charged were not proven to work nor have they worked for me. I have made payments with borrowed money so as not to ruin my credit. I never received a breakdown from the doctor 's office in advance or after the procedures were done.

Issue: Getting a line of credit
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I applied for dental work with a dental company. The application ( promissory Note ) somehow arrived at this bank through another dental or credit unit, since banks are borrowers they had to have borrowed the promissory note or purchased it. However, I was denied credit by the XXXX of the same month and year, when the credit was secured by the note under 15 USC 1637 ( a ) ( 6 ). The promissory note was accepted, and securitized, which means the credit was secured, yet I was denied credit on the basis of an inaccurate consumer report while the bank stole credit from the note which I pledge in good faith. Based on the Federal Reserve Act, Section 16 ( 1 ) ( 2 ) the application is the security.
