Consumer Complaint: Long story short, my credit limit was at {$4000.00} and for some reason you guys dropped it to {$1300.00}. I have approved flex charges from XXXX that charge my card each month. Because you Synchrony Bank lowerered my limit without my knowledge and without notification, I had a bounced flex payment. I am legally required to make minimum payment or more and because my sudden decrease limit, I had a bounced flex payment. I had to pay more than the minimum payment to keep my contractual agreement with XXXX. What synchrony bank is committing is the Unfair Lending Act.

Consumer Complaint: We purchased a product which was financed under a promotion that qualifying payments would not incur interest charges. Once the product was purchased, we enrolled in auto-pay for an amount recommended by the lender. Without notice, we received deferred interest almost doubling the amount owed because the time period for the promotion had expired. I received no emails nor notifications warning of the deferred interest. Had I known the proposed amount for auto-pay was insufficient to pay the balance in full before incurring interest, I would have upped the amount paid monthly.

Issue: Trouble using your card
Subissue: Can't use card to make purchases
Consumer Complaint: I made a payment of {$3700.00} on XX/XX/. The funds from this payment were held and my available credit was not updated until XX/XX/. I have been making large payments for months and was aware that the company had a tendency to process payments slowly or hold payments from available credit. I understand this practice and policy and respect it. However, I had called in the past and asked specific details related to payment processing in my available credit, and was given various different answers. Although this is absolutely just human error and does not change their policy, this human error caused a massive impact to me. I made this exceptionally large payment as part of paying my bill in full with the understanding, based on previous conversations, that I would be able to use the available credit within a few business days, I had a bill due for my electric at a much higher amount than normal that was requiring payment or electric services would be interrupted. I have called in the past and had holes removed, but in this instance, the hole can not be removed, likely due to the large amount of my payment. Although again, understandable because of misinformation, this was impact my ability to pay a bill. I talked to several individuals and actually asked to be escalated to their executive offices following complete standards, and was told that I would get a call back. I have not received any communication whether verbally or in writing. My funds were eventually released. However, I had to remit payment from borrowed funds and from what was left to pay my bill in full. This is caused late fees from my electric company that I paid, and because I did not pay my bill in full interest charges for the account. This fall information seems very deceptive and altering an impactful. Additionally, theres no way for them to return funds from a payment or release them even with proof from the bank for situations such as mine. Meaning if they truly had a bank error that caused the customer would be out of luck, and they could cause real harm.
