Consumer Complaint: I made a promotional purchase using a Synchrony XXXX store card on XX/XX/XXXX for {$3200.00} at 0 % interest if paid by XX/XX/XXXX. I declined to accept the " card security '' offered with the purchase. In XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered that I was being charged for card security despite declining. I called Synchrony who agreed to refund the card security charges as well as the interest charged to that point since it was due to the card security charges. At this point, the total amount charged in interest and card security was {$270.00}. Synchrony only refunded {$260.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Over the next 6 months, Synchrony continued to charge interest. The total charged from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX was {$10.00}. The total interest charged was {$24.00}. When informed of their mistake of continuing to charge interest, Synchrony agreed to refund the {$10.00} charged since XXXX, but refuses to refund the remaining {$14.00}. Because I never agreed to the card security charges and only made one interest-free purchase, Synchrony should never have charged interest and should refund the remaining {$14.00} immediately

Consumer Complaint: I have credit thru PayPal financed thru synchrony bank, I purchased a payment security in case of illness loss of job or death ect. I contacted payment security back in late XX/XX/XXXX early XXXX and let them know I needed to process a claim they made 3 payment I believed and asked for doctors letter they provided which I had doctor fill out ad send to them so they could continue to make payments or pay debt once they received it they send a letter saying they needed another doctors note signed on or after XXXX to continue with assistance. I feel I have provided enough information and everything they have asked. and they have falsely advertise a service they Are not providing.

Once for a bridge and the other time for dental extraction. Which total about XXXX. I have been paying month. There is a issue with me paying after the due date because I pay most of my bill when I receive my social security check. Now the total is over XXXX. The second account is with JC Penny card but the payment goes to Synchrony Bank That balance is over XXXX. Something is very wrong with the amount of increase interest being charged and changed when no other purchase have been made on either of these cards, to justify this practice

XXXX 's set XXXX people over last week and damaged my home. I have requested my money back from Synchrony Bank the place I have been making payments to since XXXX. XXXX 's sent damaged material to be used with this job and has refused to refund my money and pick up damaged material they sent to use on this job. I have nothing to show except old deck removed and my home being damaged I requested repair of my home and money refunded and damaged material to be returned to the store. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to make a loan request with Synchrony Bank to purchase a XXXX XXXX XXXX phone through the XXXX store. The process bugged and it would not let me purchase the phone with the account. So I was forced to purchase the phone with my debit card. On the same day I called Synchrony Bank customer support to close the account. They confirmed with me that they closed the account. This is reflected on my credit report. Since then they have been hounding me with emails and physical mail about owing {$27.00} on an account that I have with them. They told me I no longer had an account with them. I called them a few times in early XXXX to close this account and confirm I owed them nothing. Customer support with Synchrony confirmed with me that I do not owe them anything. However they continued to harass me about payment. By request from their customer support, I sent them a fax on XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX XXXX with proof of my purchase with my own debit card. My credit report says my account with them is closed. Yet they continue to insist I owe them. I did not get a response to my cease and desist. In the last few months they have hit my credit score with purported " late payments '' on an account that is not mine.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I was contacted by Synchrony Bank about suspicious charges on my Lowes Credit Card. Approximately, {$14000.00} was fraudulently charged. I verified with Synchrony that these were not my charges. They stated my address had been changed online and they updated it to my actual address and sent me a new card. The new card was intercepted by the fraudster and mailed to their home. XX/XX/2022 the newly issued card had approximately {$12000.00} fraudulently charged. Again, I called in and verified with Synchrony that these were not my charges. They issued me a new card which was intercepted again by the fraudster and on XX/XX/XXXX, {$12000.00} fraudulent charges were posted. I have had to call Synchrony 5 different times regarding this. They have nothing in place to verify address changes or suspicious activity on an account that already has recorded fraud. I just called Synchrony because {$8000.00} is reported on my credit report. The person I talked to was not from the United States and was very unprofessional and would not answer my questions. He kept telling me my card would not be sent because the account was frozen. I called to find out why {$8000.00} was on my credit report and he became very rude and talked over the top of me and would not listen. I had to raise my voice and talk over him. He told me my fraud charges were under investigation but he would not answer my question as to why, of all of the charges that have been fraudulently posted to my Lowes account, {$8000.00} is hitting my credit report. I would have prefer to speak to someone who is more helpful. I ended up hanging up on him because he was rude, unprofessional, inept and obnoxious.

Consumer Complaint: I was called repeatedly from synchrony bank to collect a debt after I had told them I had lost my job due to Covid and was trying to make payment agreements with them. They called me close to XXXX times after I told them please dont call me while Im at work and told them the hours I worked they continued to call me while I was at work and leave voicemails. I paid one of my synchrony bank accounts off via a settlement agreement and they entered into a settlement agreement with me regarding another one after I started paying on the second settlement they backed out of the settlement agreement. They refused to accept any payment plan when I attempted to pay them initially and continually harassed me and doc my credit each month by reporting that as delinquent. When they were paid off in a settlement for one of the accounts. And the second account they had been partially paid for the settlement yet they still report that debt inaccurately. I told them I was affected by Covid and I asked to have my debt deferred which they refused to do. And they continue to report one account as not settled and it was settled. From XXXX of last year synchrony bank called me numerous times leaving voicemails using A Robo dialer to harass me while I was at work.
