Consumer Complaint: I currently have a Synchrony Care Credit Mastercard. I utilize this a lot to pay for my dogs veterinarian bills and since my charges are pretty high, I take advantage of the 6 months no interest promotions. I am having an issue with how my payments are being allocated to my balance. I have a mix of charges at the XXXX interest rate, as well as the standard rate. When I received my statement for XXXX, I noticed that XXXX large payments I made, XXXX for {$700.00} and XXXX for {$1500.00} did not get applied to promotional balances that expire on XX/XX/23. I reviewed my statement for how payments are applied, and there was no mention of that specifically, but it did say I could call to have my payment allocation changed. So, on XX/XX/23 I call and the representative was very nice and said he would take care of adjusting the allocation and that it may take up to 72 hours. No mention that they actually would not be able to help me with that. On XX/XX/23, I received a letter from Synchrony stating that due to federal regulation they can not adjust my allocation unless it is in the last two billing cycles before expiration ( my payments would have been the third one prior to expiration ). Having worked in compliance and audit for financial institutions, I thought that this did not sound quite right to me. I pulled up 12 CFR Part 1026.53, Allocation of Payments, to see exactly what the regulation says. While it does mention the two billing cycle exception, it is also acceptable to change the allocation at consumer request. I understand the regulation does not require the issuer to honor this exception, but in not honoring it, there is a high probability that I will be paying more interest in the end since my payments will never be applied to my promotional balances ( depending on my purchases under the standard rate ) and I will end up paying the accrued interest. This just screams UDAAP violation to me. I understand the intention of this regulation is for the higher interest balances to be paid off first, which I support, but in the situation of the XXXX interest promotions, I should get to choose how I want my payments applied. In fact, I assumed this was standard, as I am able to go online to my XXXX XXXX Credit Card and specify which promotional balance I would like the excess of my minimum payment to go to. My other issue is, in reading the payment disclosures on my statement and in my cardholder agreement, no where ( that I can find ) does it state how payments are applied to promotional balances. Even the phone rep I talked to did not explain the policy to me. Had I known about the exception for the XXXX billing cycles prior, I would have saved my XXXX larger payments in XXXX for XXXX when the exception would be in effect.

Consumer Complaint: I am contacting you in regards to a PayPal Credit account I used to have, which has been closed since 2021. I continue to receive letters that detail 2 charges each month beginning in XX/XX/XXXX : a late fee on the 3rd of each month and an interest charge each month on the XXXX of each month ( compounding each month ). I have spoken to PayPal Credit on numerous occasions, on each of which I have been told that the charges were issued automatically in error, and they refund them. Then, a couple of months later, it starts all over again. I owe nothing to PayPal Credit, the account is closed, and I am prepared to initiate legal recourse at this point. These charges are appearing as an outstanding balance reported to XXXX, thus negatively impacting my credit score. Please help me finalize this ; I am angry and tired of going through this with a different customer service agent each time, only to have the problem recur. At this point when I call PayPal Credit, they can not even locate my information in their system. They say no account exists, yet I continue to receive letters. Thank you for your time. Please let me know if you require further documentation.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a summons was improperly delivered to my property address and given to a tenant who is not a family member or relative whom I do not live with and when delivery after knocking on door and handing a summons not in an envelope and not to myself. This debt is also being challenged by XXXX XXXX who has been asking for debt validation unsuccessfully from the creditor and there is a Lack of Standing in that the debtor creditor relationship not being one and the same. When debt collectors are contacted by me the many entities involved do not have any proper information about the debt, or proper dates or amounts from the original debt that was a credit card that was closed in or around XXXX and therefore the statute of limitations may have also expired and the amounts of the debt tripled according to the summons and debt collectors who are demanding a response and attempting a default judgement. I have been under duress and I am a 100 percent service connected XXXX veteran and I am being tracked by phone from an outside source such as XXXX tracking device and followed and spied on. All for a credit card debt. I am just coming out of a place of hardship and we have been assessed at my condo for several thousand dollars and I am also recovering from XXXX XXXX scare. Sending someone to my condo unannounced and delivering these documents improperly at my condo ( btw I can not always stay there due to the amount of work that is major at the building ) and large assessments has caused me anxiety and I need it to stop. Also the original debt belonged to TJMax synchrony bank and the debt collectors are Attorney XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and XXXX ( or whoever as I can not get straight answers from them and I have had to spend more money now to initiate a letter to the courts to stave them off. Also the XXXX XXXX company I have been dealing with for two years has completly dropped the ball when I notified them this was happening and said they can not help. I have spent two years paying them {$120.00} for over two years in order to resolve these debts and only to find they can not do what they claim. I would like a full refund. This is such a scam.

Consumer Complaint: Credit company has added incorrect payment dates. They have listed the last payment date as XX/XX/XXXX on my dispute and on credit profile. The actual date of last payment was in fact XX/XX/XXXX. Confirmation number is either incorrect on the website or on the receipt that was sent to my email. On my copy that was sent the confirmation was listed as # XXXX and on their online system it shows payment confirmation # XXXX. On the complaint through XXXX, they reported no payment received on XX/XX/XXXX and I have two different confirmation numbers for that one payment. Payment date reported to XXXX as XX/XX/XXXX and paid on XX/XX/XXXX according to their response to XXXX. The actual payment date was XX/XX/XXXX according to my bank account record. This also proves inaccuracy in their reporting of dates. The creditor closed my account without warning on XX/XX/XXXX according to XXXX XXXX I have currently enrolled in a settlement and the amounts are wrong when I call the online system. Nothing in their reports match the data that is on my statements and the settlement amount. There are errors all across the website that do not match what has been reported. As of XX/XX/XXXX I owe them {$150.00} which was confirmed when I called them and made payment in the amount of {$74.00} by phone on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. When I call them by phone it states I owe {$410.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX with a minimum payment of {$190.00}. None of the amounts match that are listed on the online access and the phone system. The main issue is the reporting of dates that do not give correct information.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a credit card with Dicks sporting Goods in XX/XX/XXXX for a promotion they were offering then. I made couple of purchases in the store after that to get the store discounts. I have not been using it at all in XXXX. I received a phone call in XX/XX/XXXX from Dicks credit card company stating that I have charges for sale that was made in XX/XX/XXXX. I explained that I didn't make those charges. I inquired what those sales were, and they said they have no specifics. I stated that I would like to close this credit card, as I don't use it, I don't even have the physical card .I was told that these disputed charges will be transferred to the fraudulent department, and that I shouldn't be responsible for making any payments. I continued to receive phone calls, emails, text messages, as well as paper statements sent to my house. I called Dicks credit card numerous times and explained that this amount was sent to the fraud department, as I didn't make this purchase. They agreed that I am not responsible for this fraudulent charges. I asked why I continue to receive all those notifications, and I was reassured that this will take time for me not to receive those notices. I specifically inquired about my credit score that I worked so hard to maintain, and they reassured me that this is not going to affect my score, as again I am not responsible for this. Today I was applying for an auto loan, and I received a rejection because of my " low credit score ''. I am a physician and my score has always been excellent. I never had any missed payments, and this adversely affected my credit score and my ability to purchase a vehicle. It also is affecting my medical business, as I was informed by the bank that this might lead to lowering my credit limits, or even canceling them. This has taken so much out of my time trying to explain to the credit card company, and in all the times I stayed on line with them for hours, and the conclusion they gave me was that I am not responsible for this payment. So having this go to the credit score is destructive to my personal as well as my professional medical practice.
