Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with Synchrony Bank in XX/XX/XXXX. My first payment was due XX/XX/XXXX. I paid {$110.00} on XXXX XXXX. My next payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid {$120.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I was attempting to make my XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX ( due date is XX/XX/XXXX ) and I was informed my account has a XXXX dollar late fee because I did not make a payment in XXXX. Synchrony bank shows I made a payment of {$120.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, but they did not apply it to my account because I made the payment before a new bill cycle generated. I do not understand why Synchrony Bank wouldn't credit my account for that payment. They are not backing down on this issue and I find it unacceptable. It is my intention to pay this account off under the 6 month with no interest, but I feel that they are attempting to prevent this. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, XXXX

Now they lowered my credit line which has affected my credit score dropping it by XXXX points. The federal government powers need to begin overseeing these three powerful companies and make them accountable as our credit scores are very challenging in these hard economic times.

XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) .pdf I have been carrying this debt ( over {$5000.00} ) for 5 months and it has affected my credit score and my debt to income ratio. Im attaching a file ( XXXX ) that shows as of today, XX/XX/XXXX, a balance of {$5400.00}. They have zeroed the monthly payment again. That balance is for work they NEVER did because I chose not to go back to them. I have spent many, many hours on preparing and sending documents to CareCredit/Synchrony Bank and phone calls to CareCredit/Synchrony Banks XXXX department XXXX They are very non-responsive to disputes. I have also hired an attorney to help with this. I have already paid him over {$1700.00}. For about 2 weeks he made several calls to XXXX XXXX and left messages. They have been completely non-responsive. I believe Im sending enough information to get a complaint started. If CFPB needs more ( like emails etc ) just let me know.
