Consumer Complaint: A special promotion with Synchrony Care Credit. If I don't pay off my balnce by XX/XX/XXXX Care Credit is going to add the accrued interest based on the original amount instead of what is left over ( {$1000.00} plus ) back into the remaining balance. I applied for a special XXXX XXXX balance transfer card with 15 months no interest. Care Credit is blocking the transfer because they said it is illegal to pay a credit card with a credit card and Care Credit is blocking the transaction. I have called and called Care Credit and they keep saying the same thing. XXXX XXXX said they transfer balances all day. Care Credit allowed me to transfer their balance to my XXXX XXXX years ago but now they are. Please help

Consumer Complaint: After placing my home up for sale, I was notified that my property has a default judgment lien that was filed in XXXX by the XXXX XXXX XXXX a law firm/debt collector. The default judgment was obtained by fraud upon the court by filing a defective proof of service. Based on information obtained from an associate of XXXX XXXX XXXX the date of personal service was made on XX/XX/XXXX to a male at my address, and a default judgment requested on XX/XX/XXXX. I have undisputable evidence, that from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX my XXXX XXXX XXXX son and I were in XXXX Colorado taking care of my XXXX mother, and the only person that would have been at my home on the date of service would have been my sister who was watering our house plants. Based on these dates, it is impossible for me to have been served court documents. I have researched this law firm and find this to be a normal practice, submitting defective proofs of service, and obtaining default judgments. There have been many civil suits filed against this firm, only to be dismissed based on the plaintiff 's lack of knowledge of the law, giving XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for dismissal.

Consumer Complaint: Once again, I find it necessary to complain about a problem I am having with Synchrony Bank, Servicer for Pay Pal, Inc regarding suspected charges ( {$19.00} and {$49.00} for " XXXX '' ). This time, Pay Pal referred me to a phone number at Synchrony which, at first could not identify my account and subsequently cut off the calls. This is not the first time I have found it necessary to complain about this institution - refer to XXXX ( misapplied payment never resolved ), XXXX ( improper Credit Bureau hard inquiry ) and XXXX ( unauthorized charge ) to name three recent issues. Since I am finding it to be impossible to work with Synchrony Bank, this asks for assistance in obtaining credits for these charges.

Consumer Complaint: Duties upon notice of dispute from a consumer reporting agency Section 623 ( b ) ; 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( b ) This section requires that whenever a person, such as a financial institution, receives a notice of dispute from a consumer reporting agency regarding the accuracy or completeness of any information the person provided to a consumer reporting agency pursuant to Section 611 ( Procedure in Case of Disputed Accuracy ), that person must, pursuant to Section 623 ( b ) : 1. conduct an investigation regarding the disputed information ; 2. review all relevant information the consumer reporting agency provided along with the notice ; 3. report the results of the investigation to the consumer reporting agency ; 4. if the investigation finds the information is incomplete or inaccurate, report those results to all nationwide consumer reporting agencies to which the financial institution previously provided the information ; and 5. if the disputed information is incomplete, inaccurate, or not verifiable by the person, it must promptly, for purposes of reporting to the consumer reporting agency do one of the following : a. modify the item of information. b. delete the item of information. c. permanently block the reporting of that item of information. Consumer Complaint: I pay my PayPal bills with my related Synchrony Bank credit card. The on-line payment information provided by Synchrony Bank shows `` Current Balance '', and " Minimum Payment Due. '' It does not show the balance as of the end of the billing period. So the choices provided fail to show the option with the required amount to be paid without incurring finance charges. The " Current Balance '' can include charges incurred after the end of the billing period, so this choice would have the consumer pay more than the amount required to avoid finance charges. And the " Minimum Payment Due '' would usually incur finance charges on the account. This is bad disclosure and, I believe, constitutes an unfair business practice. The billing statement should also indicate the balance at the end of the billing period so consumers will know how much they need to pay without incurring a finance charge. The Synchrony Bank chat facility ( on XXXX XXXX ) could not, or would not, provide the information of the end-of-period balance, and did not properly identify the government agency information for regulating such practices.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I entered a customer assistance program that would close my account and allow me to make payments of XXXX for 60 months. I accepted this agreement because my monthly income has been inconsistent and I wanted to keep my credit score as high as possible. From my understanding of the customer assistance program, I would pay the XXXX by the due date or within the 30 days of the due date as with the normal credit card payment to prevent any late payments being reported on my credit report. My first payment of XXXX was paid on XX/XX/XXXX and I was planning on paying the XXXX payment this week. Syncrhony bank just reported 30 days late again which is not even possible if my payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX. I am trying so hard to improve my credit score and was looking forward to the customer assistance program being a part of that. What is the point of a customer assistance program if they keep reporting my account as late? That seems very misleading and improper. That is of no assistance and I would not have entered the program had I known my payments would continue to show as late.
