Consumer Complaint: I opened a Room 2 Go credit card issued by Synchrony Bank in XX/XX/XXXX for $ XXXX. I used it to purchase furniture. I was told that for 5 years my payment would be the same with no interest. I was making the payment and they would choose to lower my limit periodically. In doing so it appears that the card is constantly maxed out and that impacted my credit score. I ask and they stated that it was their choice due to so. However, they have recently closed the account with no explanation. I am no longer able to view and pay the bill on the app as I always have. I am being contacted stating that I need to pay the bill and I am not able to. I tried go online and paying the bill and it gives an error message and tell me to contact them at a XXXX number. I call the number and it is automated. My balance is confirmed, and I am told that I can not make a payment over the phone and to go online. I am fearful that I will have a late fee and payment due to no fault of my own. They have made it difficult to pay the bill and is negativity affecting my credit score. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: I have had a Care Credit / Snychrony account for several years. My original credit limit was {$800.00}. I have been paying the balance down on my account in order to reduce my overall debt load and increase my credit score. Looking at my statement I see my credit limit was lowered to {$580.00}. I have received no notification in writing or otherwise prior to my monthly statement. This is a clear violation of the CARD act and their own contractual obligations. It is adversely affecting my credit. I request my original limit be restored and any appropriate action be taken against this lender.

Consumer Complaint: I applied online to Lowes CC. Their verification includes submitting my Social Security No., drivers license picture, and a current photo of myself. This was done via a link that was sent to my mobile phone. I had a problem with how to continue after the above verification and a Lowes customer representative connected me with the CC issuer who just informed me that I was denied. I received an email with a letter from Synchrony Bank dated XX/XX/2023 ( Ref XXXX ) that I was denied since they could not confirm my identity. My license was renewed last year, so my current picture is still the same, the Synchrony Bank customer representative on the phone never asked me any identifying questions before informing me that I was denied. Additionally, I currently have 3 IRA CDs with Synchrony Bank, It looks like the denial was based on my age and my XXXX XXXX XXXX more than any other reason.

I returned it within a week and within XXXX days or so I received notification that my refund had processed. The refund has not shown up on my credit card and in fact my card balance continues to reflect the full amount of the item. I disputed my statement with Synchrony but did not receive results of the investigation nor did I receive a letter stating they would take an additional XXXX days to research nor did I receive provisional credit. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX caller knew my SSN and DOB some how and said I owed a bill to care credit and was getting served sued garnished. I called all three XXXX XXXX XXXX and no such case exists XXXX, or anything against me. Nor do I owe any such debt. It was on my Credit report probably ten years ago and I disputed it and it was removed as I had never signed for any such thing. They attempted to scare me into paying and called me back twice over the past few months after being told not to call again and wont give me an address to send a cease and desist letter. I just got the name of the company today via research. I called back and a lady told me it was XXXX and XXXX XXXX out of California and New York. They violated the Fair Debt Practices Act when they threatened my wife with Garnishment and said I was a debtor. This is this third call in a few months. When I ask questions they hang up on me and I never get served papers as they threatened.

Consumer Complaint: Today XXXX I received a letter from Synchrony Bank stating that a credit application had been denied back on XX/XX/2022 and listed a XXXX XXXX that was incorrect to my credit score. I immediately called the company was transferred multiple times with no resolution. After asking for a manager several times I was passed off to XXXX and told they were the ones who provided the incorrect information and this was based on a review of my closed account with them. I told them this doesnt make sense because this letter is stating that I was denied for a credit card I did receive and that was closed due to inactivity. I also asked once I contact XXXX XXXX they advise of my correct score and it does not match listed score who do I contact then. Representative hugged and did not answer my question and requested I contact XXXX XXXX I did contact XXXX and they did confirm the reflected XXXX score was not correct on their end and they would not have reported that. I called Synchrony Bank back and told them this information and was basically told they could not help me and I would have to submit written confirmation and now they could not see this letter. Consumer Complaint: Synchrony bank charged me {$16.00} for having a XXXX balance on my Amazon store card. I paid off the card the previous pay period and had not used it as I am trying to pay down my credit card debts because the interest charges are too high and I'm living pay check to pay check right now. So, I closed the account. One week later, Synchrony cancels the other store card I had for Guitar Center ( musical instruments only ) which also had a XXXX balance ( because I had paid it off and had not been to that store in a while ) and gave the following reasons : 1. Your credit score : XXXX XXXX. Lack Of Real Estate Secured Loan Information 3. Balances On Accounts Too High Compared To Credit Limits And Loan Amounts 4. Too Few Accounts Paid As Agreed 5. Not Enough Balance Paid Down Over Time On Installment Accounts All of these reasons are falsehoods. When I checked my credit score as of today, XX/XX/XXXX. It was XXXX to XXXX, and I have XXXX unpaid debts, and XXXX late payments, and all my loans have been paid according to the agreements. In addition, both XXXX and XXXX noted that Synchrony having canceled my credit for the reasons they stated would hurt my overall score. This is predatory lending in addition to causing real harm to people living on a shoe string budget. It is not fair that the poor are punished by being charged unfair fees and high interest rates while the rich are given unlimited credit with minimal fees and low interest rates.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I opened a dispute with Synchrony Bank my XXXX XXXX card due to only having the furniture for XXXX months and the cushions and the foam were separating and the claim was being investigated. A few days later my XXXX card limit decreased and then they started to do that to all my synchrony accounts. I have never missed a payment never been late and have always liked Synchrony Credit services until this happened. In any event I just purchased a home XX/XX/XXXX and needed to do some repairs so yes I might have used my cards a little more than usual but again I never missed a payment. I can't believe XXXX got reduced as it had a XXXX balance for XXXX months. I was furious I called and closed the account. I would like to speak to someone at Synchrony XXXX XXXX about this because this is really sad they lost a good customer and I want to discuss this with them.
