Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a text alert from Synchrony Bank fraud department ( the bank that runs my Venmo Visa Credit Card ) about potential charges. I denied the charges. I was alerted of XXXX charges at once via text ( XXXX ) I replied XXXX denying the charges {$170.00} a XXXX XXXX Over {$6400.00} at Dal Tile And a approved charge, greater than my credit limit, {$3200.00} also at Dal Tile. ( My credit since I got the card Im XXXX of this year, XXXX, had been {$2000.00}. I received no notification or confirmation of this increase. Venmo told me the increase happened the day of the fraud charges ) I was auto called by the fraud department. I Denied the charges being me. The person I spoke to someone who needed to have me send a video of me and my ID in video via a link- the app link would not work and he could verify my identity in any other way. So couldnt get any info. I called Venmo to freeze my account and dispute the claim. After repeatedly being told I was not responsible for the charge- XX/XX/XXXX the charge went from pending to complete I called and sent messages to Venmo fraud department again and was denied any info about the case or someone to talk to about it and gather, and or give info. My statement showed the location of the XXXX charge from XXXX on my app statement. The location was XXXX VA I contacted the business and spoke to the store manager on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. He said he has the persons contact info and was looking into and was going to verify the credit card number. As of today XX/XX/XXXX I have not heard back.

Consumer Complaint: I am trying to qualify for a loan and I need a copy of the most recent statement for my Synchrony Bank Amazon Prime Credit Card Account. The statement cutoff time was XX/XX/XXXX, and today is XX/XX/XXXX but this statement is not on their website. I called in and spoke to " XXXX '' who is in XXXX around XXXX Arizona XXXX on Saturday XX/XX/XXXX who said she would " put in the request '' to send me a copy of the most recent statement but they would not be able to mail out until XX/XX/XXXX. I need the statement right now. I have never received a paper statement from Synchrony Bank XXXX XXXX regarding their credit card account. I asked to speak to a supervisor, XXXX said ok one moment and she would transfer me. She put me on hold, and as I expected they would do, they hung up on me. I feel like Synchrony Bank ( which literally has a XXXX out of XXXX stars rating online ) is being obsure and opaque with sharing my own account information. They are reporting this information on my credit report but refusing to provide me ( or any customers ) with documentation regarding their credit card account. I believe this is in violation of Federal laws including the Truth in Lending Act, the CARD act of 2009 and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I want Synchrony Bank Amazon Prime to send me my most recently immediately and not hang up on me or refuse to help me. They should not be allowed to have credit card business in the United States if they are not willing to comply with the laws that protect consumers. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Synchrony Bank for the unjustified closure of my Sams Club Card. My account was paid in full, was not delinquent, and I have maintained an excellent credit payment history. The bank stated the following reasons for closing my account : - Too Many Revolving Accounts With High Balance Compared to Credit Limit - Not Enough Balance Paid Down Over Time On Real Estate Secured Loans - Too Many Inquiries - Ratio of Non-Real Estate Loan Balances to Balances On Real Estate Secured Loans Is Too High These reasons are incorrect and unsubstantiated : 1. All my cards combined are using only 35 % of my total limit, far below any alarming ratio. The increased usage is due to attorney fees stemming from a recent divorce, a situation that shouldnt penalize me. 2. I have had the same real estate loan for over 15 years and have never been late on a payment. This loan was in place at the time I was approved for my Sam 's Club Card. 3. I have not initiated any new inquiries since the time my Sams Club Card was approved. I demand that Synchrony Bank provide evidence for each stated reason for the account closure. The action taken against me is unfair and takes undue advantage of my recent life changes, despite my continued ability to meet my financial obligations. I insist on the immediate reopening of my Sams Club Card account as the bank 's action is unjustified and not based on factual information. Please investigate this matter promptly and ensure that my consumer rights are protected. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter

I was told that they couldnt open my account because it was reported closed by the credit bureau. I told them that I paid and that I was XXXX XXXX military and this account shouldnt have been closed because I paid and they said that it not nothing they could do to help me. I also told them that I was charged extra interest on my account which caused this account to over the limit and they told they would look into doing the Service Civil Relief Act for me. The problem is the account was closed inappropriately and it has caused problems with my credit and I need someone to fix this.

Consumer Complaint: My mother answered the door about a week ago, and the man identified himself as a bounty hunter. He then asked my mom if I reside at the residence, and she replied yes, and he handed her court papers. She asked him again what the badge around his neck was and he said he was a bounty hunter. My mother is XXXX XXXX XXXX and this was extremely scary for her. The company on the documents that is suing me is XXXX XXXX and XXXX. I called their phone number listed and I told them about the bounty Hunter that showed up at my mothers house and she called me a liar. I went onto further. Ask what this was about because it looks like some kind of online loan. All the represented kept saying was do you want to pay the deck today. My car was broken into over two years ago. I have police reports, identity theft, reports because my identity has been used elsewhere as well. This company used an unethical practice by sending a bounty, hunter bounty Hunter to my mothers, personal residence. I am attaching a front page of the summons because it has the bounty hunters hand writing on it with his badge number, and time and date. I can also get a written witness statement from my mother.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I responded to Synchrony Bank 's letter for a request they made to me to supply additional information for a Lowes Advantage card. The Lowes ad states no effect on credit rating. There was no effect on my credit rating until today after I refused to comply with their request to send them a video of myself. Apparently, the representative took offense to my not wanting to do a video, and after I told her to discard the application and after I discontinued the contact, she did a HARD pull with XXXX XXXX which resulted in my credit score going down XXXX points. I have several requests, I want to file a complaint with both the federal and state against the Bank, but to whom do I fill with? Second, can I file a lawsuit in small claims court? This is both malishish and resulted in the lowering of my credit standing. I am available to provide additional information 24/7 as I am XXXX I intend to contact the Bank later today and file a complaint with them seeking a correction and compensation for the loss of my time rectifying their error.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I was approved for a line of credit of {$2600.00} from PayPal credit through Synchrony bank. On XX/XX/2023, I tried to use my card to buy items, but the transaction was denied. I was then locked out of my account saying that I was fraudulently trying to use my account. I had to submit a picture of my driver 's license to prove that it was me trying to use my own credit line that they had just given me. I finally called Sychrony bank on XX/XX/2023 and they told me that my account " looked '' like it had been flagged possibly due to it being a new account and this is why I could not use the card. They told me to wait about a week and try again. So, I did. The same thing happened to me. I called PayPal and they told me that it was on the Sychrony bank side of things. Once I spoke to Sychrony bank they told me the same thing that I was told on XX/XX/2023. " It looks like there might be a hold on your account and to wait. '' This to me is fraudulent. They give people lines of credit, hold the credit, it affects my credit, and now still a month later I can not use it. Something needs to be done about this company now.
