Consumer Complaint: Company has failed to disclose information pertaining to interest due, fees assessed and monthly statements or notices. Company also fraudulently responded to CFPB by stating that communication was submitted to me via mail and email. I have never received an email or direct mail communication from this company to provide me with the requested information. The only communication I have received is attached. I have questioned the fees that were charged to my account each month and for a breakdown to outline how my payments were applied.

Consumer Complaint: I financed some furniture through Synchrony bank/XXXXy in 2015 XXXX I paid off the debt right away and never used the card they sent. Now 8 years later I get sent a new card. I call to cancel the card and they tell me the account doesn't exist. After speaking to multiple managers the only information I have gathered is : Accounts are automatically closed after 3 years and out of the system after 7. This new card has no expiration date, I was told that their cards don't expire. If Cards don't expire why was I issued a new one? There is now no record of the old account and they don't know where the new one came from. They can't send me anything confirming that I have no open accounts and owe no money. They also can not make outbound calls so I have to sit here the entire morning on hold. By their own terms they must have closed my account after 3 years, which means this new card was opened without my permission. They don't think this happened, but can't confirm it and can not say with certainty exactly what happened or where this card came from, but want me to just trust that everything is okay. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) they will only send me something stating that I owe no money and have no open accounts if they can open a complaint that would affect my credit report.

I have attempted to resolve this issue by phone, by calling both Synchrony bank over six or more times and still no resolve. I have also attempted to dispute this via XXXX over 6 or more times and still no resolve. This issue have been unresolved for over 9 months. Consumer Complaint: I received a notification on XXXX XXXX that a new line of credit had been opened in my name. I called the synchrony bank trying to figure out what happened but without getting any info. After several weeks of calling and asking the account to be reported for fraud, someone finally told me the account was made with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is a security company my friend bought a security system through. I agreed to co-sign for her, I have seen her bank statements and the company has confirmed she has not missed a payment. I am being charged with her full bill regardless. Neither XXXX XXXX XXXX nor Synchrony bank has been able to show me any contract Ive signed, citing that I gave verbal consent. I do not remember agreeing to a loan, only co-signing for if my friend defaults. Ive tried to resolve this for weeks and now months with both companies, and have disputed that line of credit with Synchrony Bank twice now. Which has been denied both times

Consumer Complaint: Since last XXXX I have been charged interests on my Amazon.com store card ( managed by Synchrony Bank ). On that card I have promotional balances at 0 % interest and regular purchases at 29.99 % interest. Every month I have been making extra payments to cover the regular purchases and the minimum on the promotional balance so to avoid an interest charge at 29.99 %. A few times I called to allocate the payment to the proper balance ( but not always ). Whenever I call and complain about interest charges the representative ( last one I spoke to was XXXX ) tells me : the system will allocate first to the promotional balance and it's up to you to call and request a different allocation. I quoted the Credit Card Fairness Act and she told me that it doesn't apply to this card because it's a store card and not a credit card. A store card is a credit card. XXXX also told me that she works for the bank therefore she knows better. The Credit Card Fairness Act states that : If you make more than your minimum payment due, creditors must apply the excess payment to the balance with the highest interest rate. If you make only your minimum payment, the lender can apply it to lower-rate balances. Obviously Synchrony bank does not see it that way, and I'm lead to believe that they are defrauding many customers with this scheme. After a long wait I managed to speak to a manager, XXXX, who XXXX much debate finally agreed to remove part of the interest : {$40.00} and some cents. I'm including my statements since last XXXX for your verification. Thank you

I don't remember ever having an account with Sychrony bank with the balance reporting. My information was compromised in a data breach so please submit documentation of the agreement between your company and myself. Please send the correspondence sent to me notifying me that I had an account that was being sold to XXXX XXXX. Also, include the price that the debt collector purchased the debt. If you are unable to provide the requested information, please have the collection agency remove this account immediately.
