Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I opened this account in XXXX, XXXX. The first payment was due in XXXX & paid as agreed. There is no congruency between XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. Per 15 USC 1681 ( FCRA ) states there must be pure accuracy in what is being reported. In my case, there is not. It is causing inaccuracies across all 3 of my report scores. I contacted Synchrony bank at the same time via mail on XX/XX/XXXX but have not received any correspondence to date.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX Good afternoon, I am writing to file a complaint against Syncrony Bank for a series of actions they have taken against a few of my accounts. In letters dated XX/XX/XXXX, Syncrony wrote me and informed me that they closed my Syncrony Mohawk/Home account and reduced my credit limit for Dicks XXXX XXXXXXXX account from {$4000.00} to {$250.00}. The reason for the changes are stated below : Dear XXXX XXXX, After a review of your account, Synchrony Bank has decided to close your account. Our decision was based in part on a scoring system that was used to predict your creditworthiness. The reason ( XXXX ) for our decision are listed below. Not Enough Balance Paid Down Over Time On Real Estate Secured Loans Balances On Accounts Too High Compared To Credit Limits And XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX For Dicks XXXX XXXX, Syncrony decided to reduce my credit limit in XX/XX/XXXX from {$4000.00} to {$250.00}. I have {$0.00} balance on this account. I have never paid this account late. Since XXXX, I use this account and pay it off which proves credit worthiness. My credit score has not changed much since I opened the account in XXXX, so why are they doing this now? I contacted Synchrony and they were unwilling to allow me to speak to one individual that could address this issue with multiple Synchrony accounts. If the letter they issued says provides the identical reason for the change, then I need to speak with one person who can provide the answers I am seeking on multiple accounts. They have clearly used the same reasons to make changes, so why do I have to take to XXXX or XXXX different reps that don't have the power to do anything to assist me? I understand that Syncrony can close or make changes to an account at will. However, the reasons listed above and the timing, which is just after the holidays seems suspicious. I used my credit cards during the holidays ( as I do each year ). This of course increased the credit card usage percentage rate, which is now at 18 %. This is still not terrible considering I have nearly {$80.00} XXXX dollars in available credit. All of my credit accounts are paid on time and XXXX is showing 100 % on time payments on my credit accounts. Not enough balance paid down over time on real estate secured loans? My current mortgage is with XXXX XXXX. This is also 100 % paid on time, and the balance has decreased by {$25000.00} since XXXX. Is this common practice for credit card banks to randomly run your credit report? I have no way to prove whether the sudden decisions to close an account and reduce my credit limit is discriminatory. However, I am filing this complaint because something is not right and I will not sit back and allow these banks to target certain groups of people. I have an increase in my salary of 6 % since last year and I now earn approximately {$130000.00} annually. Please advise me of my rights in this matter. If you need additional information, please let me know. Your time and attention is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I began months ago trying to clean up my credit. Care Credit was a debt that showed as owed. I have contacted multiple times over the last 6 months to which I am given phone number after phone number. Each representative I have spoken with claims someone else has the debt. I have filed disputes through the credit bureaus to which this company verifies the debt but in attempts to pay it's the same run around. No one seems to know anything about this account. I am no longer willing to pay this account or continue to sit on the phone for hours trying to find it. At this point I would like the account written off and taken off my credit reports.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: I placed an order for furniture at Crate and Barrel using the store credit card issued by Syncrony bank. I paid for delivery fee in the store. due the fact that my order was big, C & B did several deliveries, in fact 5 of them, and 2 deliveries were cancelled due to damaged furniture in the truck. they charged me for every delivery, although I never gave them consent. I wrote a letter to HQ when I saw strange transactions, and I reported a fraud to Synchrony bank. I received an apology from C & B, manager XXXX XXXX spoke with me and explained that billing automatically charged me for every delivery and store employee just needed to credit the delivery charge, but she did not. She said it is a standard practice and indeed I should not pay extra for delivery if C & B splits one delivery to a few. C & B credited all delivery charges, but a month later I got a letter from Syncrony bank and they say " you did it ''. they charged me again, they overrode all the credits provided by the store and demand I owe them for 3 delivery. This is a pure fraud.
