Consumer Complaint: I had ordered a riding lawn mower and I had cancelled my order from Lowe 's home center. This order was purchased via Lowe 's Advantage card. Upon completing my cancelation, Lowe 's wanted to force me to take 2 Lowe 's store gift cards which I never agreed to. I did call Lowe 's telling them that I don't want any gift cards and just want my account credited for the mower. Also Lowe 's customer service employees tried to convince me that I could just take the gift cards to the store and they will give me the money. The problem according to their website you are not able to get cash or pay any amount to your account.

Consumer Complaint: I got a return check and my retail card was instantly closed and marked as a late payment even though theres sufficient funds and I made another payment a few days later to suffice. I made a {$60.00} payment on a card with a balance of {$410.00}. The payment apparently didnt go through even though theres a XXXX XXXX in checking. I caught it and paid a few days after that. This is for a retail card through Synchrony. I called the bank and they basically have no record of the first payment. I called to reason with Synchrony and the person on the other end did not speak my native language so it was hard to level with them. I have been paying the card on time for over a year and was about to pay it off soon its 0 % interest. They claim I got a return check even though I paid it two days later, have been paying it on time for over a year, and then just closed my account. So now its my fault even though theyre the ones with technical difficulties.

Consumer Complaint: This relates to a Lowe 's ( hardware store ) card, billed by Synchrony. Prior experience has taught me that this company sometimes sends the bill so late that even if you pay the day the bill arrives, you will be charged a late fee. In a previous instance they did refund the wrongly-charged fee. So on XXXX XXXX I noticed that the usual bill had not arrived, and went online to see if there was a bill this month. The online log-in said they were discontinuing mailing bills and switching to online bills. So I tried to check for the bill online. Their website said online statement not currently available, but that I owed payment by XXXX XXXX. I have not received any bill for this period by email, by mail, or by any other method, but for my logging on in suspicion. Then Lowe 's sends an email " confirming my preference '' for online billing. I paid the bill on time using billpay, and my bank says the payment will arrive on XXXX XXXX, so I should not be charged this time. Please require Lowe's/Synchrony to send credit card billing early enough that customers can pay on time and avoid late charges.
