Consumer Complaint: Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc, took over our mortgage in XXXX of 2023. We have been paying our mortgage for 14 years, and have never had an issue with our escrow. The second this company took over our mortgage, we have had nothing but issues. First they canceled our home owners Ins, because they didn't add carry them over from our previous mortgage lender. We resolved that. But all of a sudden, we received a letter stating that our escrow is short by {$21000.00}. This is insane. Before we left our previous lender, we had a positive escrow. We called this company, and all they said was read the analysis and it explains everything. Problem is, all it shows is a math equation. It doesn't explain how they came up with {$21000.00}. We have tried to have them explain, and no one can provide a reasonable answer. We have been on several consumer reporting sites, and select Portfolio repeatedly gets hit for charging people escrow shortages in the thousands without providing reason. This company is corrupt, and acting illegally. The company should be shutdown, and everyone should be arrested. Because of this shortage, come XXXX, our mortgage will go up by over XXXX, bringing it over XXXX. I absolutely can not afford a XXXX mortgage payment. Something needs to be done to stop this company from doing this to people.

Consumer Complaint: This is now the XXXX complaint that I have filed against this company. I have made quite a few phone calls to this company in regards to the unapplied account - an account used to hold money. They claim that full payment must be made- {$670.00} per month is the normal mortgage payment by the due date of the XXXX of each month. Since I filed last file XX/XX/23 and that was closed it seems that they never right sided the account. Payments of {$680.00} go to them and are recorded on the XXXX of every month if not before, followed by weekly payments of {$50.00} that, like all monies in excess, are to go to the principle of the mortgage. The paperwork for the money paid from my bank and statements will be included. I have no faith as well that any of the interest credit has taken place for early payments that were to go to the principle as the company indicated is on my record. My account, even after the closing of the last case number, XXXX, is still being marked behind with an amount of XXXX in unapplied payments being on the account. Was that the directive that was left on the account- not according to this company.

Consumer Complaint: We have always received our monthly bill late. Most times mailed in without the monthly payment statement as not to be late. I was under a bankruptcy before loan was sold to SPS and according to statements received from bankruptcy lawyer and from the prior holder of mortgage loan, payments were paid in full and there was a XXXX balance for payments owed during bankruptcy. When mortgage was sold to SPS, they also should a XXXX balance. Several months later, a XXXX amount appeared stating we owed this amount. When I called SPS the first time, the gentleman was rude, and did not want to listen to my concern or reason why I called, he just wanted to know how much I could pay and when. I ended the phone call and immediately called back. I spoke to someone that listened to why I was calling and when she pulled up my account, she stated to me that she didn't understand why I was getting charged this amount since it shows paid already. She asked that I fax her the documents I had showing where this amount was paid. I faxed this information to her and included information she asked that I put on the fax cover sheet. I waited a week, called back, spoke to a different person who stated she could see where the information was documented in my file, give it a few more days and they would get in contact. Never got any calls. I received a statement stating I could be forclosed on and that amount owed has gone up to {$7200.00} since as of XX/XX/XXXX, I am 168 days deliquent on my mortgage loan. These are the months listed as not paid, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. I have dates and check numbers and bank statements showing these Payments were made. I however, did send them 2 checks, one on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX # XXXX for # XXXX and another on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX # XXXX for {$2100.00} which is 2 monthly payments of {$1000.00} since I did not want to get foreclosed on while I am trying to get to the bottom of this. I have my documents if you need them. I just don't understand how this amount was XXXX, then {$4200.00} and now {$7200.00} due to missed payments that I have not missed.

Consumer Complaint: I have not received my end of the year Statement from Select Portfolio Service. It is against the law, for Select Portfolio Service, not to send my end of the year, 1098 statement. It is against the law, not to receive my monthly statements on time. Consumer Complaint: Mortgage was transferred from XXXX Mortgage dba XXXX XXXX to Select Portfolio Servicing, XXXX ( SPS ) on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted SPS on XX/XX/XXXX to alert them the escrow was incorrect and the hazard insurance was not on there. SPS requested I send them a letter stating I wanted the escrow to include the annual hazard insurance and the taxes, as XXXX XXXX had been taking out. So, I complied to their request. They received the letter and responded on XXXX XXXX XXXXXX/XX/XXXX, well past XXXX days, apologizing for their mistake and they would rectify it. My homeowners insurance is due to expire on XX/XX/XXXX at midnight. I have called several times, I have a log of date/time/person spoke to, from XX/XX/XXXX to today XX/XX/XXXX. I still don't have any idea if they are going to pay the mortgage insurance. I can not get a resolution. I called again today, spent over an hour and fifteen minutes, spoke to five different people, asked if this could be escalated since it is time sensitive, spoke to a supervisor who said she is going to send an email to someone in the escrow department, which does not accept calls from mortgagee 's. All I get from this mortgage company is " they are working on it '' but, no resolution.

Consumer Complaint: SPS, also known as Select Portfolio Servicing, holds my current mortgage, after acquiring it from XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2023. Since that time, SPS has been frequently calling me from unlisted phone numbers requiring my personal information in order to discuss issues related to my mortgage. All my requests to call from certain listed numbers identifiable as belonging to SPS have been ignored. My multiple emails sent to SPS, including SPS ' Ombudsman office, resulted in a phone call I received from that office on XX/XX/XXXX. During the call I was informed that my request can't be met, than the current SPS phone system is set in such a way that they will continue to use multiple unlisted numbers. As a result, this issue was not be resolved, and no attempts will be made to resolve it, I was told. I was advised that I can file complaint with the CFPB or any other agency, and that is the end of it.
