Consumer Complaint: I have tried several times over the past few weeks to make payments online. They have once again blocked my account from taking payments. I have emailed my account manager and ask them to unblock the account however, that has not been done. I also have tried for several days now to fill out the Mortgage assistance application on their website to ensure that my account does not go into foreclosure, however their website keeps looping around giving an error message to fix any errors then submit. There are no errors to fix on the application, I have re-entered the information over and over yet it still will not accept it! Select Portfolio is once again doing everything they can to try and foreclose on my property just as they have in my past two complaints about them. I do not understand how they expect anyone to make mortgage payments when they block their accounts from accepting payments. Then have such a horrible system that you can not fill out their online forms and submit them like it says you can. It is time for someone higher up than Select Portfolio Servicing to step in and make them fix these issues that are constantly recurring. As I have seen from the XXXX XXXX XXXX and online reviews, I am not the only one they continue to do this too. It is either neglect on the part of customer service or intentionally done to force foreclosure and add additional fees. I should not and will not pay fees due to their illegal business practices that they continue to do over and over. Nor do I have the time or energy to continue this cycle with them. I want them to fix the site and accept my payments online. I do not have additional funds to pay XXXX XXXX fees, bank wire transfer fees etc, When I should be able to make a payment online on their site like every should. I want them to be respectful to not only myself but others and do what they are legally suppose to do. I have said previously I want them to sell my account to XXXX XXXX or a more reputable mortgage company because I am fed up with them. They need to do so because this is absolutely unacceptable business practices on their part.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage loan with Select Portfolio Servicing was paid off in XX/XX/XXXX. I recently had the title for my property checked and there was still a lien from them against my property. Unfortunately, the original Beneficial underwriter filed title paperwork for the loan that I declined as well as the loan that I accepted. The loan that I declined never existed. There was never a mortgage and the paperwork was destroyed. I called SPS regarding this issue on XX/XX/XXXX, and sent them a copy of the erroneous title lien the same day. It was uploaded into the account documents that I still had access to despite my account having been closed. I contacted their customer service department and was advised that the request needed to be referred to their reconveyance department for investigation which may take up to 30 days. I advised them to call me if they needed information or documents. I called SPS the week of XX/XX/XXXX and the associate got the impression that they were investigating the lien that was handled correctly despite my calls and the documentation that was sent to them. On XX/XX/XXXX there was a document added to my account that they were investigating my case with a new 30-day timeframe. This is unacceptable. I have a pending loan and this impacts a potential professional opportunity for my ex-spouse as his name is listed on the title as well. I have requested to speak to the reconveyance department and they do not accept incoming calls and I have not received a call from them. I need to have the lien against my property removed. There was never a loan for the corresponding lien.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX my husband and I took out a heloc. We paid on it but a payment has not been made since XXXX. The original amount was XXXX but we only owed XXXX. My husband got sick and we fell behind. So in XXXX my husband declared bankruptcy. The heloc was originally with XXXX but then in XXXX of XXXX it was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I don't know how it happened but the attorney represented us in the bankruptcy forgot to place XXXX as one of the creditors so I was told to make payments to them on my own. To be honest the bankruptcy payments were high enough that I was lucky to be able to make them. So in XXXX of XXXX my husband passed away and I still had three more years of payments. I did make them and in XX/XX/XXXX the debt was discharged through the courts. In XXXX of the following year I get a letter from XXXX telling me I owe them XXXX due to interest. I contacted an attorney and was told not to do anything. In XXXX my credit dropped like XXXX points but in XXXX it went back up and XXXX was removed from my Credit Report. XXXX who was the first lien holder granted a release in XX/XX/XXXX. So I'm not seeing any mortgages on my credit report and foolishly thought everything was okay. Actually XXXX wasn't even recorded as being on assignee until XX/XX/XXXX. It was always US Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX As Trustee For XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX And then they decided to make XXXX part of this. So I hired an attorney and he wasn't very enthusiastic but I really didn't have the money for another one. When I tried to go through that program they told the company to harass me. XX/XX/XXXX it was suggested from a mortgage servicer XXXX that SPS was adding {$200.00} to my mortgage to repay my rears. I have a co borrower on my mortgage, my ex wife. I had given them my quick deed and divorce decree awarding me the home. Every SPS servicer said they didnt know why the rejection of asking for the co borrower information when they had quick deed and decree. XX/XX/XXXX I was told SPS wouldnt take any payments except the full amount. Im in mediation now with state of Illinois and the mediator is asking the same to SPS attorney. Weve done this before. Now SPS XX/XX/XXXX is amenable to my XXXX now. But raising my rate 2 % and add {$800.00} to my mortgage payment almost 19 months later

Consumer Complaint: You would have to get my whole account from XXXX XXXX XXXX and then SPServing! Actually my entire account from XXXX XXXX didnt transfer over my escrow payment for my taxes, nor did the pay my taxes.. SPS Did nothing then or ever!! Went into bankruptcy because of both of them!! In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX even refused to give the Home Keeper program the information they requested to give a loan me a loan to payoff the arrears from being a XX/XX/XXXX loan Not because I was ever a day late on payment! I was in a very long modification process, like years, I was in XXXX XXXX executive office, Customer service supervisor Author XXXX!! After an hour long argument he still refused to send it because he did have to!! After my modification the paperwork got sent in XX/XX/XXXX! They took my bankruptcy payments and put them all over the place, up your escrow ever opportunity they have because they are insane!! Say Im not making payments when I am!! They never fixed one think so obviously Im losing my home!! Thats what SPS DOES BEST AND YOU ALL KNOW IT!!!!!!

Consumer Complaint: After having my mortgage at SPS XXXX for 5 Years this company has adopted a new accounting system for Escrow Impound Accounts. Last Year I received my annual accounting statement saying that My Homeowners Insurance went up ( I can not remember how much but it was just a couple hundred dollars or so ). I went ahead and paid that shortage in full to keep my monthly payment from going up. Attached you will find the letter from SPS stating they received the payment and that the account was balanced. This year ( see attached ) they are telling me I am Short {$1700.00}? In reviewing their accounting it is clear my property taxes and insurance went up a combined amount of {$290.00} of which I will pay no question BUT {$1700.00}? When I called to ask why suddenly it's so much after not having any issue for years they told me to see the accounting which I do not agree with. I am off {$290.00} Not {$1700.00} This company needs to be investigated and Fined Millions of dollars. I believe SPS has miss handled my escrow impound funds and now wants me to replenish the account. To have my escrow account balance and in order last year and now short {$1700.00}? NO WAY. This company is Ripping People Off. Please help me.

Consumer Complaint: 1 ) The mortgage servicer Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc denied my request for a loan modification in XX/XX/XXXX. The reason for the denial was not provided. A generic denial was provided stating I did not qualify for any workout assistance except short sale or liquidation. XXXX ) Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc refused to honor the request for mortgage assistance for the short sale application that was forwarded after the denial of the modification. The short sale application was sent in XXXX, again in XXXX, and finally confirmed on XX/XX/XXXX, to be received by Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc . 3 ) Select Portfolio, Inc stated verbally that they would open the case because of the confusion with the prior submission. However, was confirmed and received they denied the review of the application and continued with the foreclosure sale date on record of XX/XX/XXXX. 4 ) I continued to search for someone to buy my home and finally entered a ratified contract to sell my property on XX/XX/XXXX. The information was immediately sent to Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc requesting a postponement of the scheduled XX/XX/XXXX, sale date. The purchase amount would pay Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc off in full and allow me to obtain funds to move. Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc once again denies the postponement request. They would rather foreclose on me than postpone the sale 30-40 days and allow me to pay them off and obtain a little profit. 5 ) The actions of Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc are consistent with Equity Stripping and Dual Tracking. Dual tracking occurs when a mortgage servicer continues to foreclose on a borrower 's home while simultaneously considering the borrower 's application for a loan modification or other foreclosure avoidance options. This practice violates federal law ( 12 C.F.R. j 1024.41 ) ; The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was established by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, issued mortgage servicing rules that, after being codified into federal law, went into effect as of January 10, 2014. Among other things, the rules restrict dual tracking. 6 ) Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc has established a history of misleading practices pertaining to CFPB guidelines and the Dodd-Frank Act. These violations are being addressed in the Qualified Written Request.
