Consumer Complaint: I WANT TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST XXXX THIEVES AT XXXX XXXX THAT STOLE MY HOUSE! Do I have to go to the police? The criminal financial protection bureau has closed a complaint that IS NOT RESOLVED. The cfpb has done nothing to stop the outright THEFT. Of my house, {$730000.00} payments and ANOTHER {$250000.00} from MY proceeds. {$730000.00} pays all of the XXXX interest reported, all of the XXXX balance of the first. XXXX of second mortgag XXXX for XXXX escrow. It wasnt enough to charge me an extra {$100000.00}. They TOOK {$250000.00}. More. Select portfolio servicing basically stole my house. When they modified the loan there was no settlement statement or truth in lending statement IT WAS NOT A NEW LOAN. and all of my payments count. I dont care what the servicers did. It only matters WHAT I DID.

Consumer Complaint: IT WAS XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/2020. XXXX HAD OUR MORTGAGE THEN XX/XX/XXXX SOLD TO SELECT PORTOFOLIO COMPANY. WE WERE NOT AWARE OF SUCH BALLOON PAYMENT UNTIL XX/XX/2020 WE RECEIVED A CERTIFIED LETTER STATING THAT XXXX WAS NO LONGER TAKING OUR PAYMENTS THAT SELECT PORTOFOLIO WAS TAKING OVER THE BALLOON AMOUNT. WE CALLED XXXX NEVER ANSWERED OUR CALLS. THEN WE CALLED SELECT PORTOFOLIO. THEY EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO US THEY EXPLAINED ABOUT THE BALLOON AMOUNT WAS TO BE PAID IN FULL ON THE MATURITY DATE OF XXXX XXXX. WE SUBMITTED A NEW MODIFICATION XX/XX/2020 MODIFICATION WAS DECLINED DUE TO CURRENT PAYMENTS. THEN WE SUBMITTED A REFINANCE. CREDIT SCORE WAS A BIT BELOW AVERAGE. WE SUBMITTED ANOTHER REFINANCE THEY SAID MORTGAGE WAS LATE. DUE TO MATURITY DATE. SELECT PORTOFOLIO WAS NOT TAKING ANY MORE MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS OUR REFINANCE THEN WAS UNABLE TO GO THROUGH WE HAD ALREADY PAID THE APPRAISEL FEE. WE DID A CONFERENCE CALL WITH REFINANCE BANK AND SELECT PORTOFOLIO. THE REFINANCE COMPANY SEEMED VERY CLUELESS.

Consumer Complaint: Company : SPS, Select Portfolio Servicing Issue : they did not process my Rate Renewal application. I asked them for Rate Renewal application 3 months ago. About two months ago, I were asked to file a dispute and wait for 30 days for a response. I were then told to wait another 30 days. I received a letter Dated XX/XX/XXXX, asked to call back to ... complete an application. Due to COVID-19, I only got the letter yesterday. I called them back today, XX/XX/XXXX. They still do nothing, I asked to escalate to manager, after long wait, I were told that no manager available, so disappoint ... Please help. Background info : 1 ) The mortgage load was provided by XXXX XXXX originally, with a Rate Renew Feature : ... Apply for a Rate Renewal and relock your rate for another 5 years .... I did it several times. 2 ) The loan was Transferred to XXXX XXXX, I did another Rate Renewal XX/XX/XXXX, relocked the rate to XX/XX/XXXX 3 ) The loan was then Transferred to SPS. They did not follow the mortgage documentations, for an example, not long after transfer, they hiked the rate. When I asked them for a Rate Renewal, they appeared to know nothing about it, I were allowed a dispute only after long phone call and after I sent them copies of the original load documents and a copy of Rate Renew I did in past.

Consumer Complaint: Since Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. took over servicing of the mortgage back in XXXX, I receive my monthly statement within a day or two before the due date, or in the case of this month, it was received the day after due date. I called in today to let them know of the issue, and they stated that it must be due to mail delays, as they send the statements out the day after generation. This would mean the the USPS is consistently holding onto this companies mail, or taking 18 days to deliver a piece of first class mail. I believe the delay is an attempt for the company to increase the amount of late payments, and generate extra servicing fees on the loans that they service. This is the only bill that is having these lengthy mail times or delays, so I have to assume that they are not actually mailing them out when they say they are, or that the Post Office is deliberately targeting this company for lengthy delays, ( which I don't believe is the case ).

Consumer Complaint: The mortgage servicer that I have been with did not pay me the full amount owed to me after my new mortgage provider funded the Payoff. Instead of crediting my last payment to my principal balance, Select Portfolio Servicing simply returned my XX/XX/2020 payment to me. Here is the summary : Select Portfolio Servicing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, UT XXXX RE : Loan Payoff Code XXXX Payoff Date XX/XX/2020 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XXXX Enclosed are two documents regarding the principal balance of the above referenced loan. One is a statement dated XX/XX/2020 and the other is a Payoff Statement issued by SPS. Both of these statements reflect my XX/XX/2020 payment having been received and processed by SPS. Both documents state a principal balance of {$470000.00}. Select Portfolio Servicing is obligated to return to me any and all funds in excess of the principal balance at the time of payoff of my loan # XXXX. SPS was funded {$470000.00} on XX/XX/2020. This added 8 days of accrued interest at a rate of {$38.00} per diem. The total owed to SPS for payment, per your Payoff Statement was {$470000.00} + {$310.00} ( 8 days interest ) = {$470000.00}. This means SPS owes me {$3500.00} On XX/XX/XXXX, Select Portfolio Servicing sent me a check in the amount of my monthly payment {$2800.00}, when in fact SPS owes me {$3500.00}. Please regard this as my official request for payment of the {$660.00} owed to me. I am sending this letter to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau with my complaint.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Mortgage Loan with SPS. I have been very very regular for many years. But the COVID Pandemic really played havoc with my XXXX XXXX, finances and rental income. I XXXX a XXXX in downtown XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is very badly affected by COVID. I spent about $ XXXX to fully renovate my XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX till XX/XX/XXXX. And the XXXX was closed during this time. From XXXX this year, I had to gain close down XXXX XXXX because of the rampant COVID in XXXX XXXX XXXX So there is ZERO XXXX income, throughout this year. On top of it, my XXXX are not paying XXXX for the last 7 months. And because of the moratorium on evictions, my Attorney tells me that the eviction case will have to wait till XX/XX/XXXX, to be taken up by the Courts. So I am squeezed from all sides and it is becoming very very difficult to make both ends meet. But yet, with all these hardships, I have been paying my Mortgage regularly until 2 months back. As I exhausted all my savings I was forced to stop paying the Mortgage since 2 months. In fact, many of my friends already got Forbearance for 12 months. So I called SPS and requested their help. But they said I am not eligible as it is a private Loan. They sent me lengthy paper work asking me to fill up all that to see if I can qualify for any Loan assistance. I understand that under CARES Act., hapless borrowers like me are eligible to get Forbearance by just answering a couple of questions about the COVID Hardsip.

Consumer Complaint: Late XXXX, I was notified that my Mortgage Servicer was being transferred from XXXX XXXX to Select Portfolio Servicing. I tried to pay my mortgage on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX, but they stopped accepting payments on XX/XX/XXXX. I called Select Portfolio Servicing because I had not received any communications from them at that point. I needed to know that this transfer was valid, and not a scam. I asked them to send me documentation and a bill. They provided me with a new account number at that time. I did receive documentation, but still no bill. I was told that there would be no late fees within the first thirty days after the transfer. I started receiving phone calls ( but no message left ) around the XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Finally, they left a message idenifying themselves as Select Portfolio Servicing. I decided to log into their website and make a payment. When I logged in, I noticed on my dashboard a message indicating that I had opted for paperless billing, which is not true. I also noticed a statement that 'all online payments are subject to a {$15.00} 'processing fee '. I called them back the next day, and a woman insisted that I make the payment over the phone by check. She said that she would waive the {$15.00} fee for telephone payment. She claimed that I was not set up for paperless billing, despite the website advising me otherwise. I asked her, if this was so, why had no one sent me a bill for 19 days? How was I supposed to pay a bill I had not received. She explained that I could use telephone or online payment. I already have finincial problems due to COVID-19, and an extra {$15.00} is not acceptable ( and would still not be if I did not have financial concerns ). I pay all my bills online with no servicing fees, including the last 6 or 7 years with XXXX XXXX. This is unacceptable proce gouging i the best of times, but expecially now. Online bill payment is a modern convenience. I did receive a bill for my XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX, meaning it is impossible that I can get a payment to them via US Mail by XX/XX/XXXX. The fee is absordinate, simply put, and Select Portfolio Servicing has done a terrible job transitioning. How can you trust a company like that?

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was sold to SPS from XXXX ( who I thought previously were the worst ) Since then they have redone my escrow twice in three months- last time in XXXX each time raising my escrow ( my payment has gone up XXXX dollars a month. They will be sending me a escrow reimbursement for over {$3000.00} dollars ( I like the fact they get to hold on to my money ) When I attempt to pay down my balance early ( paying extra every month ) they hold on to it to deduct it from my payment the following month. They also charge me XXXX to process my payment- everything they can do to make your life a little harder they do and take pride in doing it.
