Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: I set up automatic payments for my credit card from my pnc checking account. Minutes after setting it up, I chatted with an online representative to ensure that it was set up correctly. The chat rep did confirm that I am all set. On the due date I logged into my PNC account and see a pending payment towards my credit card. I log on the next day and that payment disappeared with late fee charged to my account. I called customer service and they were unable to find any scheduled automatic payments. They waived off the late fee stating that since I missed the payment for the first time. Clearly, its not my fault. Their IT team needs to look into on what went wrong.

Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: High-pressure sales tactics
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2019 - I purchased a car from XXXX XXXX XXXX NC. Even though I did not want to take the car loan as their rates were high, I was forced by the dealer to take the car loan. The dealer refused to provide me with the purchase contract to enable my credit union to issue the check for the loan amount. I was misled by the dealer that we could directly pay the loan within 30 days without prepayment penalty or interest. The dealer issued the loan through PNC Bank. XX/XX/2019 - After receiving the loan document, I went to the PNC Bank to payoff the loan. Instead of the loan amount of {$23000.00}, I had to pay {$24000.00}. The remainder being interest or fees. I would have to wait for 3 weeks to get the title. I believe PNC Bank incentivizes car dealers to indulge in this sort of high-pressure sales tactics instead of acting in the best interest of consumers.

Consumer Complaint: I was scammed out of {$4800.00}. There are people pretending to be employers. They are on indeed imposing people who are not aware of scams. There were plenty of times my bank could have informed me, but instead they decided to send me out a letter dated the time and date the transaction went through. They say in the letter we are holding your check due possibly no payment. That letter would have not gotten to me until the XXXX, which to me is no safety For what happened. Also, I reached out to XXXX where I sent the orders through, to cancel the shipment & return to sender. I advised of the scam to both XXXX & my bank. XXXX still released the package to the imposed scammer. Some people are not aware of scams. Especially if youve never been scammed before. My bank keeps telling me that I authorize the transaction even though I didnt. Had my bank told me that the check was fraudulent right then and there, would have prevented this whole altercation. There are many people who are getting scammed and it seems like there is no way of recovery. I have proof for every thing that has happened. And just want to resolve this to the best way possible.

Consumer Complaint: Tried to make a payment to my PNC Credit Card but for some reason the payment bounced even though i clearly had the money in my account and put in the account / routing in correctly and was charged a XXXX $ RETURNED CHECK CHG, so i called on their recorded line and they promised / said they remove the fee on the next statement because i was eligible for it but now a month forward there toxic reps are not helping me now even though every other bank company i have used in my 8 years of banking have always waved these fees quickly and smoothly when they have happened by mistake. PNC is being greedy and there customer service reps in there credit card department are toxic and are not helpful at all its really a hit or miss if you get a good one or bad one. This credit card belongs in the sock drawer since if you ever have problems they clearly don't have your back.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: I'm relatively new to the world of credit, I applied for one PNC Bank Credit Card and got declined, then the internet popped up more applications and I did not have knowledge that applying to other credit cards would hurt your score, so I applied to others and now I have some dings to my credit and credit card companies have sent rejection letters back saying that I have too many inquiries. Is it possible to get these inquiries off my credit report? I had no knowledge that applying and getting rejected hurt my credit and these websites like ( XXXX XXXX ) made it seem too easy to apply and it never warned me that it would hurt my credit. If i could get these dings off my credit it would definitely help, thanks.

Consumer Complaint: My former wife acquired a property in XXXX. I was never on the deed to the property and never lived there. She obtained at least two home equity lines of credit and one mortgage while she owned the house. I was not listed on any of the notes. Since Illinois has homestead laws, I signed a release that I will have no ownership interest in the property and that it will not be a marital asset. The name shown on the notes was " ( her ), married to ( me ) ''. She alone signed the notes, and I only ever signed the homestead release. The loans were originated with XXXX in XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. In XXXX, XXXX was acquired by XXXX XXXX, and in XXXX, XXXX XXXX was acquired by PNC. In XXXX, PNC filed a Lis Pendens against BOTH of us. I am now trying to get a mortgage myself, and I only became aware of this when my credit was pulled and my mortgage company told me I had THREE mortgage collections with PNC Bank and a recently closed mortgage with multiple late payments. By searching public records, I found out that PNC sold one of these debts to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. On the Assignment of Mortgage that is public record, it still lists the borrower as ( former wife ), married to ( me ). I never had any association with this property, and I was never obligated on any of these mortgages.

PNC BANK Refused to follow a Court Order Power Of Attorney, granting me ANY & ALL access to manage, make changes, sign on behalf of the borrower ( my ex ). The Court Order was sent 3 times by fax & Email ( Exhibit attached - emails & Fax Records ) The Consumer & Mortgage Fraud & PNC 's efforts to STEAL my property, are evident in the bank having selectively provided me with information regarding this account at times, then denying access to the account balance and variable payments required by the payee, so as to set up the payee towards a default. DESPITE BEING THE PAYEE MAKING PAYMENTS & HAVING RECEIVED THE POA & THE PRIOR AUTHORIZATION TO ADMINISTER THIS ACCOUNT SINCE XXXX, AND MY REPEATED FAXED REQUESTS FOR MAILING STATEMENTS TO THE PROPERTY ADDRESS, PNC HAS INTENTIONALLY IGNORED ALL OF THE ABOVE. NOW THIS FILE IS IN LOSS MITIGATION AND PNC REFUSES TO PROVIDE ME WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THIS ACCOUNT I have been making payments diligently on this account. Despite the Power of Attorney & authorization, PNC Bank has consistently denied me access to ANY information on this account. Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: This account on my credit file are being reported wrong. I am challenging the reporting and compliance of this account. Section 609 of the fair credit reporting act state that all accounts must be 100 % accurate, 100 verifiable, and 100 % complete. This is not the case here. The way this is being reported on my credit report from the creditor/furnisher is a violation of my rights and hurts my credit. The account number is incomplete, date open incorrect on 3 different bureaus, the terms are stated incorrect ( shows 1 month ), High balance is missing, still reporting although it states charged off.

Consumer Complaint: An ACH debit was made from my account in the amount of {$330.00}. I was charged an overdraft fee of {$36.00} and then another {$36.00} one the item was reversed. This is a total of {$72.00} for one transaction. It seems like double dipping.
